For my vaping friends. This is a very worthy read!!! This article IS for smoking....HOWEVER, take out the Carbon Monoxide, as vaping doesn't have that in it. But, for most of us, we do still have nicotine in our e liquids. Now I've gone from 18mg of nic down to 6mg, in almost 1 years time.

My dr was thrilled I quit smoking cigs, but did mention circulatory issues even with nicotine. I'm quite happy at 6mg of nic...and who knows, someday may go down to zero, as I just enjoy the vaping experience. I have absolutely NO INTENTIONS of EVER quitting vaping. And vaping certainly is healthier than smoking, but if you can lower your nic level....go for it. I like to stay informed on things, and am just passing this along :)
That said, vape on!

0nic. I've never smoked, but lived with a smoker for my entire life. I'm the test person among friends - want to know if your juice has nic in it, let me take a tiny hit. I've vaped my boyfriend's nic included juice, to try flavors. Contrary to the FDA's belief, nope trying nic included liquid does not make me want to start vaping nic included juice, it hurts way too much, and even with the few times I've tried it, I'm not craving it, at all.

I'm sure that some of this is that I can go from high intake of caffeine to no caffeine with little to no withdrawal issues, so my body isn't prone to the addictive potential of things as much as others may be. I mean the idea of an addictive personality or not, I don't seem to deal with problems like that. My 2 cents or so.

I was reading this maryland law crap about ecigs, one of their big complaints is that with cigs you can measure the amount of nic ingested while smoking. But with ecigs you can't. Such horses ass. By the way I'm vaping 12-18 mg usually.

After a year (March) I started my drop from 18mg to 12mg. I will prolly stay there until my 2 year. I did just get some juice that was gifted yesterday that was 24mg. Wow!!!! What a freaking head rush. Made me a little jittery too.

I vape 12 for the most part.
BUT
16 when I first get up in the morning and the urge is strong.
10, 8, 6, or less when I just crave the habit/flavor.

Been vaping and off tobacco for 13 months. Have been mixing 6mg for a while. Recently went down to 3mg for 98% of my mixes. I probably vape about 40ml in about 5 - 7 days.

PS. I smoked for 30+ years. Started at 18mg them went to 12mg fairly quick. Was at 12 for quite a while.

Started at 18 but had to go up to 24 to finally break away from the stinkies (40 year habit). Now I've been at 6 for about 6 months. I intend to work my way down to 0 and then I wonder if I will still have the urge to vape.

I often wonder if the urge will be there if I ever hit 0mg. Kinda like sex without the O

Started off at 18, dropped to 12 in about a month.

However, I've heard that going from 12 to 6 is a big drop, relatively speaking. And I don't want to be sucking down 10ml of juice per day to satisfy nic cravings. We'll see ... I just may try it once to see if I can handle it.

I initially tried to quit using 18mg and was back on the stinkies within 2-3 weeks. Fast forward about 6 months, try again this time with 24mg...instantly off the stinkies. That was over 2 years ago. After 3 months or so I dropped back to 18mg with no problems at all. At the 1 year mark I dropped to 12mg with no problems really other than vaping a little more at first. I am still at 12mg today in my daily setup with plans to drop soon. I do however use 3mg or 6mg in my drippers.

18mg. Wish I could cut it out completely, my heart rate and BP were much better when I was at 0mg and 5mg. But I had to increase it from where I quit at 11mg to 18mg to get mesalamine to work for Ulcerative Colitis (mesalamine is also messing with the heart rate and BP). If the mesalamine doesn't work the next step in drugs carries a huge list of scary side effects.
Everything is a trade off.

I'm not so sure about WhyQuit, they're pretty extreme, but isn't it odd how nicotine itself wasn't a problem as long as people were buying it from Big Pharma for more than the cost of cigarettes? Now that we're getting nicotine without the smoke in pretty similar manners the nicotine itself is suddenly a major problem.
I'm not lying to myself, I know nicotine isn't health food, but vaping is about harm reduction not complete safety. If completely safety is what you're after strap on a helmet and live in a plastic bubble inside a padded room, and don't eat anything which in itself isn't safe.

Good question, I was smoking garums and they are high in nicotine(18mg) but taste really light so I ordered 18mg. That was a big mistake cuz its way too strong. Thinking that my next order will be 12mg or 6mg.
I have a MVP 2.0 and I'm running it at the lowest wattage/voltage and taking light hits cuz its just too strong but so much better than ciggies.

started at 18 went up to 24mg and been at 24mg for 20 months. Evrey time I lower i vape twice the amount. I do find myself vaping less often though.

Prefer WTA but too expensive. Good in the morning and once in a while through out the day.

If it wasn't for the smell I could still pick up a cig right now and start smoking again.

When first started 18mg for about a month then 12mg for about 5 months and 6mg since then (I'm at 1yr and almost 2months). I do still keep 12mg in one small clearo that is for when I go out and plan to only be able to vape a little bit.

Started at 24 but after 3 years have dropped down to 6. Given the health benefits that nicotine can provide, despite being so addictive, I will probably stay at this level.

I started on 18mg, quickly went down to 12mg, then 6mg, and stayed at 3mg for a month or so. Now, after 4 1/2 months, I'm down to 2mg.

I chain vape unless I'm busy, but I don't really care. I enjoy the taste and the habit.

I am thinking that it is more than the nicotine that is causing the adiction. Some studies show that some of the other tobacco alkaloids, particularly anatabine, cotinine and myosmine contribute to the nicotine being assimulated faster in the body.

There are more than just those three mentioned so who knows what the real effects are? Maybe the tobacco industry?

I have noticed that after over 6 months without a cig I am way less addicted to the nicotine because of vaping. I used to have to smoke at least every 20-30 mins (Newport 100s). Now I can go over 2 hours without even thinking of it and I use 12 mg at the highest. I have also noticed that my mg level definitely depends on my atty and device. In my kayfuns I use 12mg and in my drippers and orchid I use 4-6 mg. more vapor =more nic.

I started at 12mg and remain at 12. It has been almost a year. I am thinking of dropping it down because at night when I am on the computer or reading I tend to chain vape. It might be better to do this with a lower strength.

I switched from smoking 2 1/2 years ago to 18 mg. I was at zero nic after about 9 months and stayed there for about 6 months. Went back to nic for a month, then off again and repeated that a few times. Now I've been nic-free for a few months and I think I'm going to stay there.

I'm at 18mg, and occasionally 24mg in the mornings, but planning on moving down to 12 as soon as I can buy some new juices. As someone with already horrible circulation, I should probably work on getting lower.

I enjoy the benefits of nicotine and have no plan on stopping.

Ever notice that around the same time tobacco control demonized smoking and everyone started quitting is the exact same time that half the planet started taking anti depressants?
I think big pharma has was more to lose with vaping than we all think.

I vape 24 mg/ml in tanks and drip 12 mg/ml
