... i want something special...

Who doesn't ?? :)

When I want something like a Werther' Original, I mix..
FW Butterscotch 5%
FW Salted Caramel 4%
FA Cream 1.3%
FA Madagascar Vanilla 1.5%
TPA Sweetener 1% (or more ..)

Seems to me adding some vanilla and cream flavors to your recipe above might work for you...

Have some of HIC's very nice Buttershots while you ponder...;)

Just my 2 cents

I've been mixing 3 or 4 different BS brands to get something I could taste.
Helps some but it's still not quite sweet enough.
Probably needs some Sweetener or Stevia added but haven't tried that yet.

butterscotch is my holy grail - have just started working on it of late... kept putting it off till i felt 'ready' to tackle the whole 'grail' thing ;p
Kinda foolish in hind site .. FA is good but I am a touch partial to the FW ... it seems to have the taste triggers I associate with BS (pun intended )
Seriously tho .. VU I think needs a DEDICATED Butterscotch mixing thread! ... thinking that there are so many posts and threads for 'cereal', Strawberry, clones, & such ..
Thinking there is LOTS of room for improvement
Lets make something special

Butterscotch deserves it's own - and This thread here has the perfect title! Anyone else?
All for Butterscotch and Butterscotch for all!?

Based on the participation in this thread, a "a DEDICATED Butterscotch mixing thread" might be a tough sell. :)

Heabob, looks like you've def been on the BScotch path for a bit yeah. I just put in an order before this thread so missing about 6 flavors across the four you posted. Also hadn't been thinking along the BS lines so much altho did just pick up the FW Natural Bs but neglected to grab the TFA :(

So looking at the BS Swirl, seeing the 3% across the bs board (something I have always considered but never got around to 'doing' ;p)
To me the FA seems very background'ee' and needs a few days or so and the FW seems more 'Standup' (sweet - sugary) so have mixed those two but never got to the TFA (don't seem to hear much re a CAPS Bs now that I think of it) How would you classify the TFA, Candyish?

Thinking next order will have to be a bs trials order .. will pick up the TFA and perhaps another one or two BScotchs.. along with some sweet creams - will keep the BScotch train rolling haha.

I've only tried 5-6 butterscotch recipes and my favorite so far is HIC's Buttershots (Butterscotch Schnapps)
http://vapingunderground.com/threads/hics-creamy-cocktail-vape-party-numerous-recipes.1852/

It's a simple recipe and tasty vape.

Far as I know CAP doesn't make a Butterscotch flavor.
TFA is a bit sweeter but don't know if I'd say it was candyish as it's not quite that sweet.
Got some NF Butterscotch too but don't use it much cause it's 90% alcohol, good tasting flavor tho if ya don't mind the boozeyness.

Been trying to make a Buttery Nipple like forever.
Started with:
14% Butterscotch
7% Irish Cream

Tried all the different brands/and multiple brands together, & went up & down with the amounts.
Always seems to have the Irish Cream up front.
Could never get one I really liked tho.

hmmmm very interesting thought that ... Butterscotch has always been problematic in just that way for me.. always getting pushed back etc.

Possibly some creams / espresso (and or other coffee's), possibly tfa brownsugar, maybe even a touch of cookie or cake to absorb in the irishcream AND Bs? dunno .. just spitballin' lol - seems like you are starting with the right base .. I would prob go from here:

Baileys: 3% Irish Cream
Buttershots (Butterscotch Schnapps): 2% Butterscotch, 1% Brandy

and you know ... JUST KNOW... there is one tiny little percentage of some not obvious flavor that would 'tie' it all together

True this, and I've also tried HIC's Buttershots but it's not my thing.

I bought some pre-mixed Buttery Nipple from somewhere a few years back and it was so good, but recently tried to find it again.
That was the one I was trying to clone but think it was discontinued.

Some other flavors I have yet to try mixing in with the BS as helpers:
FW Butter Pecan
FW Butterscotch Ripple
FLV Butterscotch (I don't have this one yet)

so which Irish cream did you settle on, if you don't mind the ask?

Haven't found one I really like yet, but maybe it's just me as I suspect they just don't taste the way I wanted them to:D.
Tried FW, TFA, CAP, & FA
Or I need to try them in some other recipes, which is strange cause I've only used them for that 1 recipe..
They aren't bad flavors, just not what I expected I suppose, whatever that was.
Think maybe I was just disappoined that my efforts to clone that vendor made Buttery Nipple failed, not even close, lol.
But I haven't had any real Irish Cream in so long I've forgotten what it's supposed to taste like anyway.

FW seems the mildest and CAP seems the strongest.
FA is pretty strong but has some chocolate taste and it's quite dark colored compared to the rest.
TFA is somewhere in between for strength.

Think i only have the FA .. and prob have not ever tried it ... realizing of late that I have a bad habit of mixing more than I can vape .. lol - trying to balance out the two a bit more ... got some tobacco's testing .. and one Butterscotch in the works .. then running a few fruit blends... hard to keep up haha

A few years back there was a Butter scotch club and hands down NF got voted as the best Butter scotch flavoring I agree.

I've also tried the NF Organic Butterscotch and it's too much alcohol taste for me.
Not bad mixing it in with several other brands tho.
But if using it alone, at the higher amounts required to actually taste it, it's too boozy.
Does have good flavor if you can get past the alcohol, and I tried venting but didn't help much.
Think I'd have to heat it up in a jar with a wider surface area exposed to get rid of it.
Just wasn't worth the extra effort for me:D

Maybe it changed we never got alcohol. The ones we used were not alcohol based. I know some of the first flavors companies had were.

Can't remember when I bought it but maybe around a year ago.
Went hunting for it in my stash and couldn't find it, might have dumped it:(.
But my NF Ginger is AWOL too, strange, know I didn't dump that one.
(The Ginger is strong enough so you only need to use a small amounts and can't detect the alcohol at all)

Found my NF Butter Rum tho, go figure.
(It's also runny like water and high in alcohol)
(Can't put a drop on your finger like PG flavors, as it just runs away):D
I get the same thing with LA flavors too.

finally got around to checking that out.. was pretty good .. DI-ACETYL BABY!! .. that's the key lol

would love to be able to put together an all FA Butterscotch .. but am leaning heavily to the dark side ... FW .. I did get the Natural version and have to say that it's very good.

one batch from 05/04 was decent at first but muddled up after 5 weeks ... second batch is about 6 days old .. might have some life in another week maybe, have to see... time to change up and remix ..

I've been trying for a good version too. This is my latest version, but still not perfected. I do like it though.

Buttery Nipple with a Twist : http://e-liquid-recipes.com/recipe/396869/Buttery+Nipple+with+a+Twist

6% Butterscotch (FW)
1% Caramel (Original) (TPA)
1% French Vanilla Creme (TPA)
2% Irish Cream (FA)
0.5% Salted Caramel (FW)
3% Sweet Cream (TPA)
1% Vienna Cream (FA)

Flavor total: 14.5%
Remember to rate it at: http://tjek.nu/r/38Jm

I love butterscotch too, but very hard to get the flavor right. I have been told good things about the FW Natural Butterscotch as well. I am working with different recipes too. Some with butter toffee to bring out the flavor, some with butter rum for the same reasons. They are steeping currently. I am thinking of adding a touch of LA Butter Rum to my buttery nipple recipe, as it has a rich buttery candy like sweetness, with a bit of alcohol as well. Thinking it might be the missing ingredient.

Butterscotch is one of my favorite flavors. Followed closely by anything desserts. I think we need a desserts thread. I always seem to find lots on fruit. Maybe I'm just not noticing them

Lol, that's cause fruits are easier IMO.
Hitting a real good Caramel or Butterscotch is a tough one.
If case you haven't tried FW Butter Pecan, it's quite yummy even stand alone, think I was using 10% but some were using less.
It's a pretty good dessert type flavor I think.

I tried the FW Butter Pecan a few months back standalone @10%. It was good, but not sweet enough for me. I was also getting what I perceived as a slight bitter pecan shell taste. Adding 1.4% of TPA Brown Sugar solved both minor problems for me.

On my to-do list is to mix it with CAP and/or Tfa VBIC.

I tried adding some other things to make it more "Ice Cream-ish" but seemed to kill the main flavors too much even with lower amounts.
Might have to revisit that one to try again...
