If you had to be stranded on a island for a month and all you could have is 4 flavors, what would you want? I think I would take:

Lemon lime (cap)

Blueberry (fw)
Sweet Strawberry (cap)
Lemonade (flav)
Raspberry (cap)
That's what I would want.

Great flavors that play well with others, but also can play well all by themselves.

I had a suitcase and in it I packed ,,, oops, wrong game!

Cap VC Custard Originale
TFA RY4D
FA Soho
FE Meringue

While these preferences may change tomorrow, this was an interesting exercise and narrowing down choices quite challenging. 'Wonder what @Teresa P would choose? Ah-ah, Teresa ... only four!

INW Shisha Strawberry
TFA DX Bavarian Cream
TFA Vanilla Swirl
CAP Sweet Cream

So I could make my strawberry & cream ADV. No sweetener, so it would need to steep at least a week to be sweet enough.

Yeah I know what you mean. :D I've never made my strawberry & cream without sweetener, but my last mix was 90ml, which is about 2wks' worth for me, and I can tell ya, after a week, that shit is way too sweet -- so this week I've had to make a couple of supplementary mixes with MUCH less sweetener, to make what was left of the 90ml tolerable.

For those who feel they really must steep their ejuice or they just aren't happy, I think my recipe could do without sweetener entirely.

Yes, it's Real Flavors. Or if shopping at ECX, it's rebranded as Northwest. Just like their TFA is rebranded as Signature. I still don't understand why they do that? Does anyone know?

Oh, and INW Shisha is my favorite Vanilla. Not custard, but regular vanilla flavoring with a hint of creamy. It's a bright vanilla, if that makes any sense?

Maybe like the vanilla of vanilla pudding? That is, hands down, my favorite vanilla, and one of my top 5 favorite sweets EVER -- I love pudding a lot more than ice cream!

No, not really. It's like a creamy vanilla extract, but bright and clean instead of heavy alcohol dark like FA Bourbon or Tahiti.

I just have to figure out how to mix that particular flavor! Also Cherimoya, which I just got. And I also got some INW banana, someone said it was really sweet and yummy.

I also finally have all the flavors, I think, to try again with cheesecake -- LorAnn cheesecake, LorAnn cream cheese icing, TFA cheesecake graham crust.

I use it in any mix I would normally like to add a vanilla accent, or sweet cream, or just accent fruits or custards in .75-3% range. I would best describe it as Vanilla Sweet Cream. Fantastic accent flavor. I don't like it by itself, doesn't have enough dimension to it for a stand alone flavor. Excellent when you want a vanilla that doesn't hide easily behind slightly stronger flavors. Holds up well with citrus flavors as well, like for an extra vanilla note in orange creamsicle.

I don't know anything about Cherimoya or INW banana. I'm sorry. I'm a dessert and custard vaper, and the only banana I have found that I like so far is TFA Banana Cream that I use in my Banana Wafer Pudding recipe. And cheesecake is very tough, I am still working on that one too. I got frustrated and gave the cheesecake a break. I am going back to it soon. I have a couple experiments steeping, but doubtful. It's a tough one for me to nail. Good luck! Please post any successes on the cheesecake :)

Have you tried TFA Sweet Cream, and if so, which do you like better and why?

Never tried it, because when I was first looking for a "fresh cream" flavor, I learned that the TFA Cream has diketones; got the Capella because it didn't appear to have them, and it's really truly excellent -- I even use it in food that benefits from a cream flavor, since we eat a fairly low-fat diet -- eggs, mashed potatoes, gravies, etc -- it's so perfectly authentic. Also great in coffee since we use 2% milk -- with enough of the milk to lighten it, 1 or 2 drops of the CAP sweet cream tastes like you just dumped real cream in your coffee! I've noticed that the TFA Whipped Cream is pretty good, but it's really light; I was thinking that the next time I want a whipped cream flavor in a recipe, I would backup the whipped cream with some CAP sweet cream, to make it more truly rich and creamy.

I think I am going to try it. I am getting low on TFA Sweet Cream anyway. Thank you for the info.

And thank you very much to the original poster for such a good question and getting discussions going on flavors!

How is the INW Lemon Cake? I've been hearing a lot about it.

its a drug,, you cant drive with it,, spouses and child should hide..............it like those little lemon shortbread cookies.....its very good stand alone 4%-8%,, add a citrus if you like or add another flavor like a vanilla or a brown sugar.. i would want it to shine so i wouldnt add more than 2 or 3 other flavors,,,, and they better be very good flavors

The flavor is identical to Lemon Cake/Lemon Frosting IMO.
But the cake part is not really present either.
It may be more of a texture thing tho.
Used at 3% stand alone.

If you like the INW Vanilla, I suspect you'd also like INW Vanilla Bourbon...
