I recently got project s80 I put my super tank and check Atomizer. So the stock that came look a little funny. So put a new coil in and same thing.
But the tank works fine on my istick 60w TC. Does anyone know why it's not working?

If the s80 has a spring loaded positive pin try to gently press it down and work it a bit. It could be stuck in the down position and not contacting the positive pin on the STM.

Don't know about a EU seller... maybe ebay.eu? That's all I got.

Found a UK based seller - not cheap (typical dollars to pounds direct translation), and not sure if they are equipped to deal with international orders (delivery charge was same as within UK) but lets see :)

EDIT no surprise, they messaged me later requesting an additional £5 for delivery.

Alright where is the best place to order this? I got one from my B&M but they kill me with their prices. WOV dropped the ball albeit unintentionally with my first and only order with them (two weeks for an istick in stock? Really?) So im needing a good source for my vape needs!

I found both the super and the mini at Vapor Range for $19.95. No tax and free usps shipping, 7 day ground. I just ordered the mini three days ago (3/3/16 at 9am) and much to my surprise it show up at my door this morning (3/5/16). I chose the free 7 day ground and they ended up sending it first class for free!!! Again, much to my surprise!!! That was the cheapest I've found it online. They're out of LA. I'm in Chicago. Shipped same day (a couple hours after I ordered it). I found it on eBay too but I don't fully trust eBay venders. The reviews for vapor range were all great. I can attest to that as well. They also have replacement coils for the super tanks for 11.95 for a 5 pack. No tax. Free shipping. Best deal I've found for those as well. The mini super tank is awesome by the way!!! Short and stubby. Great for stealth Vaping. I have two minis. A stainless I got at a b&m awhile back. I liked it so much I ordered the white mini from vapor range. Looks awesome on my little white Kanger kbox 70w tc. My little pocket storm trooper. Lol
Heres the link to vapor range. You won't be disappointed!
Cheers!

Hi, so I finally got one a couple of weeks ago!

Very happy with it's performance indeed - really great flavour out of this. Sadly it does seem to eat batteries as a result! But I guess that's to be expected :)

I have however come across a problem now that I want to change the coil. The coil is completely stuck in the top ring - I've managed to disassemble the tank completely, but the coil will not budge from the top ring (I.e. the bit between the glass and the dripper tip). Has anyone had any similar problems, and has anyone got any tips to get it off? Thanks!

Never mind, managed to get it off with some grip pliers. Note to self - dont cover tank in penetrating oil to remove stuck parts, you may have a time cleaning it afterwards.

Vapor range - want that snow wolf mini set- white or white w Tiffany blue Gorgeous!

That seems to happen often to me sometimes too where the coil gets stuck to the top chimney.
And just like you did I always use the pliers if it's stuck on there all hard like that.. i usually take it all apart to clean up the brownish juice that eventually builds up in the chimney part or in the bottom part of the air flow.

As of lately also, the Top cap/Drip tip has been hard to remove more then often and I find myself reaching for the pliers to open it

Hope it doesn't break or Crack one of these days

i really like my super tank. Who has the best deal on supertank coils?

Don't know why people are having issues with leaking. I go to a vape shop that uses these tanks for testers and they don't leak. And they have over 40 setup. Plus if you take screen out of coil you can get a month or of the coils depending on the wattage you vape at. I am almost at 3 weeks on my current .2 coil and still going strong at 60 watts. Just make sure you break in coil l properly

I'm new her so please forgive me if I don't follow protocol. I haven't read all the posts on this but I want to know if anybody else is having problems with a horrible taste coming out of these coils. The first 5 or 6 I used were fine but now every one I use has a strong taste (and smell) like burning rubber. I finally used an Atlantis coil and the taste is gone but I still have 4 or 5 of the Tobeco coils.

I personally dont like the tobeco coils.I ran the triton 0.3 SS coils.
Shark vape started a thread in the mud pit about the new triton coils that are using a hollow core SS wire now or something like that and it seems a few people have tried them and say they are even better than the older tritons.

Coil tech / coil art makes coils that fit this tank as well and they are very good.

I've given up on my 3 supertanks, way too difficult to get apart, tired of using channel locks with tape on them and tired of replacing broken glass when I slip. not so super.

Just slide the supplied allen wrench in the air hole to take it apart. Fits perfect and make disassembly a snap

Super Tight.
I have 4 of them just because my OCD said I needed the complete set.
The very first time I opened each of them they were extremely difficult to get apart.
Since then they haven't been as bad.
I use at least one daily along with 4 or 9 other tanks.
One of them does seem to be just a bit more stubborn than the others but not like the first time opening them.
Once in a while the coil stays in the top section but use of a paper towel to gain grip and they come right out.
I've seem quite a few complaints about this but I guess I've just been a bit luckier.

I gave up on mine either I just got a bad one or bad coils with it.
Every time I put a new coil doesn't read it.

I've read a few complaints of that too.
Seems some mods work better with it than others.
I have 28 mods and they all have worked on the super tanks but maybe it's me.

;) protocal scrotocal welcome to the forum :)

I've never had this problem "with this tank" but, there is rubber like material (silicon) used to stabilize and electrically insulate the coil. If the coil is faulty, it can end up heating up were it isn't supposed to... smoke and stink and taste like a burning rubber-band every where PDQ. If this is the case, you have two choices. 1) Throw the coil out 2) Fix it. I could tell you to return them as a third option but personally I think that would be a waste of time however, If you bought the coils at a local shop, you should present your issue to them and see if they will provide you with a decent solution.

Love these tanks, but believe the inexpensive UWell Crown is better but the coils are a tad more pricey. Happy with my vaping gear I say, "Always looking for the next improvement in vaping" :D

Again, Welcome !

Damn, after all this time so many people are still raving over that Crown.
Don't get me wrong, when I first got mine I liked them a lot as well.
But since then I've purchased quite a few tanks and numerous have produced better flavor than the Crown.
The Aspire Cleito is just one of them.
As for clouds, I can produce massive clouds with almost any tank.
I don't know if it is the DIY juice I use or just the difference in everyone's opinions.
Me personally, the Crown just doesn't hold up to some of the newer tanks.
Maybe it's just me.

The super tank is a bust for me. The concept is there but the performance isn't. I got one in the mail about a week ago. My experience with it was not good.

First off, mine leaks. A lot. So much so that it's not even useable most of the time. I started with the .2 coil and it worked good for about 5 minutes. The draw was smooth, flavor was good, and decent vapor. The problems started when I put it down for a few minutes and came back to it, my half full tank had completely emptied all over my IPV4. I messed with it quite a bit trying to figure it out, tried the other coil and had the same thing happen, it worked ok at first, then as soon as I leave it alone for a few minutes it floods and leaks. I really wanted to like this tank. For the few times after I sort out a flood it's really not bad...but the flooding/leaking completely ruins it.

Oh well...on the the next.
Right there with you. My super tank leaks like a bad diaper. And no one believes me. It sucks. I've had numerous tanks and never had one that leaks besides this one. I was going through a whole bottle of liquid daily, DAILY! It would leak out as far as I could put it in. And by the way, everyone I've talked to has basically called me a liar and say "everybody in my shop has one and they have never leaked or, that tank never leaks"! Which makes me feel like a you know what. Maybe it's because I'm a girl and I couldn't possibly know what I'm talking about when I'm sitting right there with the daggum tank. So I bought a SMOK TFV5 tank and while it doesn't leak it gets so hot at the bottom I have to let it sit and I'm vaping at only 45w with a .4 coil. So my question is does the super tank mini take the same coils as the actual super tank?

The super tank and mini would be compatible with same coils, including others in the Atlantis and Triton style of tanks.

Either the coils have issues, maybe a missing o-ring, or something is wrong in the tank, also maybe an o-ring.

I would try to pick up a single Triton coil, maybe an 0.4 SS or 0.3 SS, and see if leak stops, or at least process of elimination.

As for tfv4, 0.4 ohm, is it an S6, or maybe another coil reading 0.4 on the mod?

It is an S6 coil. I only have 1.8 ohm coils left for my Triton tank. And as you may well know they are pretty much useless.... As far as the super tank I have checked o rings. I also bought two boxes of coils and have tried one from each box. I really just believe I a defective one...

A little info which is worth about .02. Have experience with a bunch of tanks. I agree with most of you, my Mini tank wins out everytime, it's my daily go to tank no doubt about it.

#2 is my crown.

Never touch my herkles or vaporesso anymore.

Speaking of Vaporesso, this first time I used that tank it was like a flavor miracle I have never had before. Loved it! The problem? You can't get the replacement coils to work with it! I would literally buy 5 packs on them, MAYBE two wuld work, but that would be for maybe 1 tankful, then back to burnt, even on them. Was so frustrating that I simply gave up using that tank. Anyone with a similar story or a solution?

I then spent $135 on a swiss made Hurricane E-Phoenix. It has been ok, but certainly north worth the money I paid for it IMHO, and yep, u guessed it, I have found myself using the supertank mini more than anything again!

Still, I ask you for advice. Even that mini-tank, it is FRUSTRATING with how fast those coils burn up in it, which was one of the reason i bought that hurricane.

What do u guys recommend for coils to get for the Super Tank that are the best quality, flavor, and longest to last????

Oh, I also have noticed that on SOME of my mods it is difficult to find the atomizer on that mini-tank. On others, it reads it fine. Not sure what the deal is with that, but I am right there with the rest of you on that problem.

Thank you!

Triton SS coils (0.3) are much better than the stock coils imo.
Supposedly there isna newer hollow core ss wire coil that's better than the original one but I haven't ordered a triton in a long time so I cant say for sure.
http://www.myvaporstore.com/Atomizer-Coil-for-Aspire-Eigate-Triton-Tank-p/ap-trt40.htm

The coilart TiNi claptons are good in TC mode, SS claptons too, most are pretty damn good... not to stoked on the twisted ones. Their ceramic is better than the cCell.

They are just hard to find. Check their website and see if they still have a contest to enter, it was there forever and probably still is.

Seems like winning them is about the only way to get them. But I won the entire line.
There are a few shops that have them but very limited selection.

A lot of folks are willing to take the Hurricane off my hands.....

Have even been offered $100 for it a few times.

Guess the REAL ones are pretty hard to get a hold of, have waiting lists and all that.

I found it at a local vape shop, and the owner pretty much said the envy of other vapers would be at a high level if I purchased that.

It has been good tho, it definitely takes time to learn about it's quirks and all that. My main complaint about it is that you have to use it at a very low wattage, 20 watts is the extreme highest it should be used at. It definitely has to be "babied" a bit. I was so pissed at first when i used google and saw the sane tank for $20-$40, until i read up a bit more and realized their was a difference between knockoffs and a real one. A lot of vape stuff is like that actually, which I don't totally understand, that's for sure.

Right now I use it #2 behind my mini though, which I guess does give it some credence.

I am actually going to get 3 more tanks so I can say I pretty much tried em all, still have to try the SMOK, Cleito, and Atlantis. Maybe just wasting my time and money? I dunno....

Anyways, let me know, because I definitely want to buy a lot of these best coils I possibly can for my mini tank, since I use it more macaroni uses cheese! ;-)

Just be aware, you need the CTBVC version for STM's, not to be confused by the Kanger subtank mini version you linked.

I love all 5 of my mini's. I have other tanks but those are my go to tanks always. What I didnt like was the drip tip. I am a prissy girl and like choices. I am so excited to find they have now come out with the adaptable 510 replacement top so now I can use my mini with any 510 drip tip I own. I have bought black one and SS ones at my brick and mortar for 5 bucks a piece then searched online and found them for 1.75 during labor day sales. They make my minis look totally different. Love them....

Has anyone tried the new Atlantis EVO coils? I believe they are 0.4 and 0.5 Clapton. Also, the Super Tank Mini 0.3 Notch coils? If not mistaken, I think all of these are fairly low wattage coils.

So let me get this straight, all 15 of those coils in that monster kit would fit the STM?

Let's simply this. If you had ONE main goto coil for the mini, what would it be?

Thanks

I haven't found anybody selling the EVO replacement coils yet, nor the new Vaporesso ESTOC coils.

Yes. Consider it a sampler pack.
It's individual preference, but for me, based on me liking the .9 Vaporesso coils, I'd like to try the .7 & .8 Claptons out of the kit.

The .4 Atlantis EVO coils are pretty nice. It is a 50W max coil but vapes well with a larger coil inside diameter than previous Atlantis coils. It is about the same ID as the Super Tank Mini's chimney.

The Tobeco notch coils are hard to come by right now... they are ok but not a true upgrade to what most people are using IMO.

In remaining with the thread topic, I have to say the Tobeco Mini is a 10+. I've been using it for 10 months. Liked it so much I got it in all colors. Simple, no leaks, easy top fill, sturdy, flavor is delish and vapor production is amazing using mostly 30/70vg. I switched to a 100vg juice and we're chuckin'. Density is such that I can't see my computer screen for a good few seconds or my office is one nice mist after 3-4 hits. Everyone should have one. The owner at one of my local B&Ms told me that ALL of his employees had one. I asked one guy behind the counter one day and he said he had 3 at home.

As far as the Tobeco Super Tank, the owner told me the mini was better. But I recently received the Super Tank and wanted to try it. Took me a long to open it to prime. Put it back together and none of my mods can be detected..."Check Atomizer" on every mod. Now, I can't open the tank to check/change the coil. I forgot how I opened it. I need to remove the bottom assembly to get at the coil. Guess I'll check YouTube.

The original is just as good, just not such a nice form factor. Tighten it up nicely and it should read on your mod. The most important thing to do is to tighten the coil into the base as much as possible to have it readable on your mods.

Hahaha! That's how I felt when I dug into my bag of old Transformers and tried to turn Optimus Prime from a robot back into a truck. WTF?!! This used to take me five seconds when I was eight, now I can't do it at all in five minutes!

Okay. I'm really confused and pissed off. Both of my Tobeco Minis are reading "Ckeck Atomizer on 4 of my tanks. I've taken them apart, put new coils in, still the same thing. That's 3 tanks that will read NADA on 4 devices. WTF is going on???? Tightened the coil, loosened the coil. Chamber is clean, coils screwed in properly. I'm stumped!

Update: Still happened today. I finally had to wick up my Mutation x4 kit to get me through the day. My favorite tank is filled with something else, but the Creme Bulee is really nice in the dripper but I'm not getting the warmth I want. Too many wraps - kanthal.

1) Run a bead of juice along top threads of coil everytime you replace it on the mini tank. Takes care of the coil sticking I'm the chimney.
2) Replace your tanks plastic top with the aftermarket metal top.
3) For the past couple months I've been getting coils that read 0.00 and no atomizer detected. I thought the coils were bad. I've discovered the little seal ring on the coil is too big and not allowing the coil to rest properly (maybe a manufacturing bug they haven't caught yet.) take the ring off and screw it in and see if your mod reads the coil. To solve this I bought a pack of Atlantis coils that fit the mini tank and snagged the orange o-ring off and use it on the tobeco coils (I just keep reusing the same o-ring). I don't like any replacement coils, they aren't as good as the coils made for the mini tank. So its worth the trouble. Don't give up on the mini!

Another fix for coils that read "no atomizer detected" - just pull the coil apart a bit.

images

Pull the 510 connection (bottom piece in picture) out from the white grommet some - installing the coil in the tank base will close it all back up.

That one is a really, really personal preference based on vape style. I tried that, and because the the top is so close to the coil, it gets damn hot. I went back to the delrin tips, or the acrylic chuff styles because of that.

Is there a better top out there besides the stock? Maybe one that you could use your own 510 drip tip?

There are 510 adapters available in the US, on some sites, and fasttech. I bought MANY acrylic tips specific for the supertank from fasttech, and they work well.
