Hey guys, I'm Dylan. I just joined this forum because I saw a lot of people helping others out, and no matter what community I am in, or what it is for, I like seeing stuff like this where everyone helps each other. If I learn something, I usually pass it on to my vaping buds, so I really like that about this forum.

Anyways, I've been big into clouds since I started, almost exactly a year ago. Here recently, I've really just not been feeling the cloud lyfe anymore, so I think I'm going to move towards flavor. I'm trying to find an RTA that's affordable (Under 40 dollars for me lol) that has the best flavor at its price. I know it's subjective, but I would really like to see what you guys have to say. I don't like super restrictive Vapes, I like DL type of Vapes. I currently own a Velocity clone, Twisted Messes v2 clone, and just recently purchased the TFV8. I realized one day while using the TFV8 that the juice I was using sucked, not sure what it had to do with, tank, or just flavor in general. Sorry for rambling, in your opinions, best RTA for flavor that's not super restricted. Not sure how I feel about single coil RTAs, as I have been using dual coils since I can remember. Thank you all for taking the time to read my little question/post. Have a great day! (Please leave the Griffin/25 out, had it before, it was okay. Just didn't feel it)

Welcome to VU!

There's lots of hipe about the Boreas by Augvape. The Herakles RTA and Herakles V2 RTA are good flavor tanks as well. I have all three of them, but only put a build in the Herakles V2 so far. The flavor was pretty good. However, I need to play with the wicking, due to slight leakage.

Boreas, Merlin, Limitless, and Avocado are my 4 flavor tanks and not necessarily in that order. All give great flavor and are easy to build and wick. I do intend to pick up a couple of Aromamizer Supremes in the next week or so.

Are you talking about the RBA deck, or is this a different Herakles than what I'm thinking?

For Dylan, welcome to the forum. My fave flavor tank, so far, has been the Goblin Mini, but it might be a bit too restricted for your taste. I don't have a Boreas, hear great things about those and the Aromamizer, I love the flavor from the Merlin, but my tank... not so much. Leaks too much for me, but not everyone goes through this with theirs, plus the v2 of it is circulating now. I hear better things about the v2.

No, it's the Sense Herakles V2 RTA. I already noticed that the cotton in one of the juice channels was a little bit thinner. However, I was too exited to try out that new RTA. Should have re-wicked right away. :headbang:

I was looking at the merlin, airflow might be too restrictive. I've had the OG aromamizer, might get the v2. What about any of the Billows?

Right now should I do a single coil in the twisted messes v2 or use the RBA section on my tfv8?

For me personally, the Merlin is having a too restricted airflow for DL. Although, I have to admit, it has pretty good flavor. However, IMO, it's mainly a single coil MTL tank.
I do have a Billow V2 and V3. The airflow in the V2 is good, the flavor is really good. I haven't put a build in the V3 yet. I just thought of another RTA, the Chuthulu V2 RTA. However, the wicking can be tricky.

I'm gonna do more research and waiting before I buy my next rta, since I have two rdas and an rta already. I'm thinking of doing a single coil, I'm used to dual coils. Do single coils produce more flavor? I've seen people say they taste better on a single but I've never been able to tell.

A small chamber and less airflow provides more flavor, this is with any tank-dripper, etc.

Think about it...the more air introduced, the less flavor...it's diluted with air.

Very true. I've been reading threads on different forums for the past hour about this lol. I've been seeing 22g 6 wrap around 3mm so I'm gonna try that. I'm used to vaping at 140-150 so idk how I'm going to do this, but wish me luck

I only run a single coil in the Merlin and Avocado. Believe it or not I find the flavor much better that way especially in the Avocado.

welcome to the forum buddy. You're about to hear a hand full of different theories about "magical" rta for flavor.
Imo it is mostly about your building techniques, your coils and wicks will get you the best flavor as long as they are built properly for a certain rta of your choice. That rta should be compliant with you style of vaping.
Big chamber/small chamber???...whatever! Put big and hot coils in a big chamber and it will produce as much flavor as small one, but volume of vapor will be much larger so experience will be quite different. It is all about preference.
Seems that you ar DL hitter and your RDAs are very windy so look into an RTA with wide open air supply. Griffin didn't do it for me, none of those RTA's with long chimney was good enough ,not even close to satisfactory. I like hot vapor with unlimited amount of air so atty that can mix those two and produce warm, tacky, wet flavorful vapor would be acceptable. Nothin less. If those coils are not close to my lips, it will not happened.
One of my favorites is Limitless RDTA. Some people prefer Avocado because it is heavier built. Limitless is closer to RDA and I like it light. I will not use it as a weapon. Instead I put it on top of the "lightly" built Cricket and carry it everywhere with me so I can get blasted with huge amounts of flavor and nicotine saturated vapor. Moonshot 24 is just as good but more of a "smooth" Vape comparable to rta instead.

If you are used to double coils, most probably no single coil will do it for you. But you never know. Some of us went from cigarettes to MTL... To DL.... Then back to super restrictive genesis atty.

Welcome to my world22G 3mm ID , 6 wraps will need more then a small chamber, and a lots of air. Lol. At 140-150 Watt it will produce anything that you would like it to and then some more probably.

I'm not trying to vape up that high, I want to try a single coil with a cooler type of vape, all I have is 22 gauge.

I gotcha. I want to try a single coil with a cooler vape. You don't think the twisted messes squared is a small enough chamber? Lol

Damn. Now I feel like I'm doing stuff wrong. I'm used to dual coils at high watts, I wanna try a single coil at lower watts and somewhat of a cooler vape, now idk what I want to do.

Only attys made for single coil specifically, that I have are Serpent and Serpent mini. So far both of those peak in between 35-50Watt. Flavor is pretty good but not comparable with double coiled Limitless (24mm) or Moonshot (22mm, 24mm). Still playing with those two trying to get them where I would like them to be with flavor and vapor production.

Sorry but I do not have TM squared so it is not possible for me to have an opinion on it. You can put a single coil on any velocity style , or two post deck by putting it in between posts.
I do have several Bambino and Deringer RDAs that would be classified as small chamber. Lol. very small. Deringer has option for single coil bit it just doesn't cut it in that configuration. Even this two I build with double coils and on the "warm/hot" side as much as they allowed me to befor they weld my lips to the drip tip. Great flavor and vapor production with appropriate built.
Limitless clone can be found for around $15, and authentic for around $20. Serpent was around $20 last time I checked it. If you can follow the directions and you like to buid you should look into Moonshot 22 and or 24. Great flavor with larger coils and higher wattage, and completely leak proof in my experience but some people find it to be difficult to build on em. You can find clones for very little money or grab an authentic from classifieds for cheap when people give up and unload them. That's what I do whenever I get a chance.
