Reminds me of getting a new hand gun. I had to sell the one I owned, due to unemployment and lack of money at that time.

I used to have a Glock 35, with Trijicon night sights. I enjoyed shooting it on the range.

You people and your automatics :wait: You need a REAL weapon, a wheel gun. Never jams and I can load just as fast with a speed loader versus a clip. I don't need 15 rounds like those spray and pray weapons have! Nice to have in a firefight though, I will concede that. When I was in the service, we still had the M1911 .45 ACP. Nice weapon, but damn hard to keep on target during multiple fire. Only had to use mine once, thank god I wasn't on point that day

I like my weapon to have a little "OOMPH!" to it. I've seen 9mm's go right through and the target just keeps on coming, unless of course you get a critical hit. But with this baby, one shot center mass and whatever I hit ain't gettin' up! Even if I'm off a little, the noise alone scares the shit out of whatever is down range!

Judging the 1911 off a beat to absolute shit mil issue rattle hammer is not fair.
Same with judging an ar15 off a m16 so old the gas vents up your nose and flexes so much you had to have your hand through the carry handle to hit a piece of paper 25 yards away is also unfair.

Not judging any weapon, especially the M1911. Very reliable with great knock-down power. The recoil and sight aperture just made it a bit tough to put 3 rapid fire in the ring, at least for me.

That 1911 most likely had 100k rounds shot out of it.

These are my casual/carry pistols: Glock 19, S&W .38sp w/laser sight and my Keltec .32. Hubby is building me a pink AR and won't tell me if it's a S&W, etc. I just got a leg side pack and I'm looking at an ankle cinch for my .32. Oh, and there's a knife for ya. Hubby's had it since he was 12. I keep it in my desk with the Keltec. Don't you love having mags all over the house?
