Time to re-up on VG and going to give them a try. They only offer one VG right? So this will be the sweet VG?...

Number 0007 made, nice having such a low number. I've also got 0015 of the Arthas Mod stashed away that I don't use.

She didn't having any left in Stainless but it did order a black from her. Going to keep it boxed up. Hopefully working with you guys I can keep my other 4 working long enough not to need to use this one. That said the Boreas is just too good a vape not to use if it becomes needed.

#1645 arrived yesterday eve....I just put a 3mm 26g ka1 5/6 wrap in it for .45 ohms and she is chucking leak-less clouds of beautiful blueberry cheesecake....Thankyou Subtank Supply for the fast shipping.

I've read this whole thread twice (Y'all are some talkative mo fo's) and watched every build video on youtube.....It went well...

On a side note, there was not a drop of machine oil in the whole tank....I built and vaped it before I washed it....Second build going in when shes squeaky....4/5 wrap ka1 at 2.5mm I think. Gotta cool this beast down a bit!

This tank loves the 3mm - 3.5 mm coils wraps. How many air holes are you leaving open? I run dual parallels 3.2mm, 0.25ohm, at 52 watts and it is warm, but not hot at all. That is with 2 holes open.

Welcome to the wonders and joy of the Boreas!.

I'm was running her wide open (go big or go home ) and started her at 50 watts....dropped down to 30 and not enough heat...tweaked it to 36 and can get in a good vape without worrying about melting the drip tip.

Now I've started inverting and closing juice controls after the bottom drains when I'm ready to put her down to mitigate leaks....Am I on the right track assuming my wicking is right....my thoughts are if the bottom is almost empty it wont "mark it's spot" or am I needlessly worrying

I will leave it for a day or two if I swap out to another topper and there is zero leak. The only time I get leaking is if it's on it's side for too long or slapping around in my pocket ending up sideways. Probably in a hot car (like any other vacuum tank) but haven't tried that one out with the boreas yet.

I have doodlebug's RY4 (so frickin good!) in it and haven't vaped tobacco in a couple days and not a drop.

More wick the better. The more wick the better. Basically try treat it like an RDA you don't want to absolutely pack the bottom but you want a really good amount of wick at the bottom. Some people give it a general poke into the wicking holes. I wouldn't. Let the juice flow freely into deck.

Gotcha....I kinda stuffed it around te ends of the coils down to the deck and spread it out along the bottom....Theres plenty of cotton in it....

Sounds like a Kayfun or Russian (What I replaced with this)...More is better.

I put 3.5mm which requires a thicker wick inside which means more cotton !!!! The amount of cotton is the secret even on The modfather....

So...I thought I was getting dry hits at 40 watts.Pulled the deck out today and looked at the cotton...

Too much cotton is now defined in this house as the bottom of the coil burning the top of the cotton flaps.

(I got this!!!)

We've been selling the Boreas in my shop and they have been flying off the shelves!! Mostly because I have been using mine since March and it is my daily driver go to tank and I talk this thing up!!!

I have run into issues with people coming in complaining about leaking and bad flavor. In those cases I found the wicking was too tight in their coils or just a plain shotty wicking job. Not sure how you can do that, but they do!.

My SS tank is from the first batch...#0176. My only issue with that tank is the bottom threads suck! My black one which is a second batch run is perfectly fine!!!

Dude, I need to stop following you. Hahaha just kidding. I ended up taking advantage of this link so thanks for that. I just ordered the Modfather so I guess I'll have more options with this tank. Plus the price was definitely a steal with the autograph being the icing on this deal!
You and Rocco have been enabling me with your pics. Keep it up guys.

Now if they would just make a 30mm Boreas (and I'd have to buy another shitload of O-rings)............................................I'll go broke buying a few of those!

Seriously, I can't get the same intense pure flavor with my other tanks.....close with the Griffin 25, but the Boreas ALWAYS beats it......just wish I could afford a few more........just in case........

Also my wicking will last at least two weeks in the Boreas before the wicking and coils get too gummed up and flavor falls way off..............I only get a few days with the Griffin and a few others, the coils gunk up fairly quickly & flavor drops off rapidly with them..........both using the same exact size build of SS Clapton coils and cotton, and same loose & fluffy wicking.............Not the Boreas, it gives off good flavor up until the coils gunk so bad that it starts throwing the mod out of TC (if it wasn't for that I could most likely get another few days out of them).........just burn off the coils and gunk, re-wick them and I'm good for another couple of weeks......of hard vaping, some days I suck through 2 tankfuls......

They've already caused me to start buying VG by the gallon instead of quarts...............but it has sure cut down on cotton purchases!

Oh and on the O-rings.......................still using the original set, so I expect my O-ring stash to last a while....................I would like to find some spare grub screws, just in case..
