Coil Lifespan

I've been using my coil for a couple of weeks now. Nothing special, 28ga stainless 316L twisted, single coil at around .64ohm's. I've rinsed it a few times and usually clean it by glowing/pulsing the coil without a wick in it. Seems to burn off pretty well. I don't know how long others get out of theirs especially if using something more complex like a stapled clapton or something like that.
i run a simple 316L 26g x 6/7 wraps x 3mm @ 18-20w on all my attys. I get about a full week of vaping before i need to change. With sweeter juices, I sometimes change more frequent but 1 week is normally the lifespan of my coils and wick (i don't ever rewick and dry burn my coils.. i figure since i'm in there doing work, might as well go the distance and install everything fresh).
Using Sandvik wire and proper care they can last months on months of use (was going on 8 months)...Regular wire Ive gotten a strong 2 months out of before it needed to be changed out.
As previously mentioned juices will speed up the degradation along with leaving water on it after dryburning and rinsing. Fatter coils with more meat on them seem to last a bit longer also.

It's hard to tell, since it depends on many variables like juice composition, coil build and placement, wattage, etc..
I would say between one and four weeks.
Once it becomes gunky you can refresh it by replacing the cotton and dry burning the coil, which will increase it's lifespan considerably.

A coil can last months and even years before needing replacement. How long you actually get from a coil depends mostly on YOU. Good, Coil maintenance will increase lifespan.
FWIW, Dry burning while the fastest way to clean a coil and almost required to make some wire vape-able... REDUCES the lifespan of the coil. It is also hazardous with some vaping wire. Problem is juice gunk is stuburn stuff and soap and water don't always get it off the coil and scrubbing a coil leads to damaging the coil. Hense the use of the ultra sonic cleaner, we see these days.

There is also the question is the coil worth the trouble.
If it's a specialized/hard to build/unique coil, I would make the effort to preserve it for as long as possible, but if it's just a simple coil, it would take me less time and effort to just replace it with a new one.

I tend to vape a bit sweet juices and seem to change to coil atleast once in the 2 weeks or so, its not that bad that it needs to be changed at the point but i just like it clean. Most of the times the builds ain't even reaching 2 days because i rebuild too much 
I use @raymo2u coils, I'm still using the same clapton I bought months ago in one mod, the others have only been in attys for about a month....all are still like new after cleaning.
Maintenance is key. Same goes for me they go out of my rda's before there on the end of their life ;')
While a coil can last months.... mine rarely live more than 3 or 4 wicks..... that's about the time I decide to change atties or builds.

Indeed the coil lifes longer than it stays in most rda's xD
I've noticed temp control coils can go a couple of weeks. Kanthal can go for who know how long

I built a 6 coil setup in March...24AWG kanthal...reading 0.05 ohms..
I've vaped 8ml of juice a day at 20/80vg and its still going strong...
i do a dry burn every 8 weeks or so and that's the time I change the cotton(it never needs changing before that as I use the "remote wicking" method for my 6 coil builds)

the life span depens on many factors, it's hard to say
I got about 6 months on my coils 24g regular kanthal, but i got 8 rta's that i keep in rotation i replace the wick every week or so, or every time i switch flavor, i guess it depends how much juice burns trough your coils, i vape about 15-20 mls a day but that's switching tanks
Much less time, for kanthal, or other regulated/non regulated vape wire/wick.
TC definately extends wick longevity. Whether it extends actual coil life, battery life or juice life is yet to be determined for me. I think I get better battery life wih regular regulation but use less juice TC.
