Do you mind if I do a spreadsheet version of this, and post?

I can send you the original Pages files if you can read that but I have two concerns. The table is updated a couple times a week and just posting the table, instead of a link to the table, means that anyone using the table won't be getting the latest test results. My other concern is that without the description/instruction text the table can be easilty misunderstood. I've already seen a couple posts thinking that the Fail grade is where the cell explodes (the table was posted on its own, no explanations).

Hmmm, well this makes me really interested in the LG HB6. I kind of dismissed it as another "30-amp" battery with sub-par capacity (something like the VTC3, which I didn't find to be all that impressive, in spite of people's high regard for it as the mech sub-ohming holy grail,) but it seems like it sacrifices capacity for better high-drain performance to a significantly greater degree than the VTC3. Seems promising. I may have to look into that one again. I'm guessing the voltage drop under load is much lower than other high-capacity batteries with similar continuous ratings. I'll have to see if I can find some discharge curves.

It's interesting to see how some of those batteries tested. I'm surprised to see how well some of those less popular batteries hold up and how average to mediocre batteries I would have expected more from actually perform. Thanks for going through the trouble. This is a very enlightening chart.

No, sorry. Just take the data for a single and use it to calculate what they can handle depending on whether it's a series or parallel box.
do you know how I would calculate that? im wanting to get the sigelei 150w, which the batteries run in series.

That's a question best asked in its own thread so everyone can see it and respond and others can find easily when doing a search.

The problem with the hb6 is the supply. Jon@liionwholesale informed me that lg only makes these cells for one specific customer so supplies are dependant on surplus cells that particular customer decides to resell. The hb2's however are in supply now at liionwholesale.

Very interesting. It seemed like every major battery re-seller had them for a while. I guess something big must've fallen through. I wonder if they sold well enough that LG might consider putting them on the open market in the future.

I've got four of them, which I think will do for now. You've got me curious as to what their special customer's specific application for them is, because I can tell you one thing for sure... ...they are the best damned mech batteries I've ever used (well, for my mech vaping habits, they are.) I'd still stick with VTC4's or 25r's for the 15-25 amp range, but man, the HB6's take my .15's and even .12's like champs.

I personally use the yellow 2500mAH MXJOs. On my mech, I never go below .14 and in my XCube II I can run 130W. Never had a problem. (I usually build .2-.4 and when in my box I rarely exceed 100W for the sake of not draining my batteries super fast)

I agree but keeping up his original blog at ECF along with Busardo's page, doing the testing and real life things like actually making a living and having a life probably has his plate quite full.
