Recently got he Ohmega Alpha 30mm in and had a little time to check it out.
I'll get around to actually doing a review on it but in the meantime, here a few pics.
20161015_202833.jpg

It sure is one bad ass looking piece of hardware.
I chose gun metal.

20161015_202325.jpg 20161015_202350.jpg
20161015_202258.jpg
Here it is on the Ijoy Limitless Lux

20161015_202528.jpg

Left to right;
SMOK Alien with SMOK Micro TFV4 3.5ml tank with .3 CLP2 @ 55 watts
SMOK H-Priv with SMOK Micro TFV4 5ml tank with .3 CLP2 @ 55 watts
Limitless 200w Box Mod with IJOY Limitless XL with .16 Clapton 3mm 4/5 wrap @ 95 watts (yes I know this puts me at 24.37 A)
SMOK X Cube Ultra 220 with IJOY Limitless RDTA PLUS with .15 Clapton 3mm 5/6 wrap @ 105 watts (yes I know this puts me at 26.46 A)
Ijoy Limitless Lux with Ohmega Alpha 30mm with .34 Dual Clapton 4.3mm 5/6 wrap @ 95 watts
Ijoy Limitless Lux with Aspire Cleit 120 with .16 @ 90 watts
Wismec Reuleaux RX200 with iJoy Combo RDTA with .69 Dual Clapton 3mm 8/9 wrap @ 102 watts
Using Samsung 25R, LG HE2, LG HE4, and Samsung 30Q depending on build.

While it is advertised by many as capable of holding 12ml, I was only able to get 8.1ml into it.
I got my BFT along with a Wismec Theorem from https://www.code3vapor.com for $26.65 / $13.45.
Ordered on 10/12, received on 10/15.
They ship out of Norman, OK and I feel I was treated right.
The BFT is made by http://www.ohmega.co/
Maybe it all went so smooth because it is made is Oklahoma and code3vapor is a neighbor. lol

To start with I just used the Clapton coils that came with it.
They were supposed to be 4mm but turned out to be 4.3mm
I chose to space them just because I feel I get more flavor from a spaced coil.
Since this BFT is designed to be a cloud chaser and I'm more in it for the flavor, I figured I'd mix the large tank size with some good flavor and see what came of it.
I've read numerous reviews of leaking so figured I'd better have a closer look.
Since it is top fill however there is no O-ring on the top cap (except the one that seals to the chimney) to prevent it leaking from the tank through the threads, I can see where the huge possibility would certainly be there.
So when I wicked up I made sure to be as full as I could.
Since the chimney/cover it all one piece, that did make it a bit more awkward.
My OCD had me ensuring the cotton was tucked nice and tidy inside the well.
After I filled the tank, as I put the cap on, as soon as I thought I was about 3/4 threaded, I turned the tank upside down to move the air to the other side.
Before I removed the top cap for filling I covered the airflow holes with my fingers and kept them there until I turned the tank over.
This worked for me but I've only been using the tank one day and only refilled (maintaining this method) 3 times so far.

With a 30mm tank, naturally is has a good size build deck, no issues there.
Wasn't sure I'd like the idea of it lacking juice flow or air flow control but it turns out that isn't an issue.
It just works. (if you wick it properly)
Some seem to have received an extra drip tip with theirs, I did not.
Since it is NOT a standard 510 drip tip, it'd suck if I lost or broke this one.
I measured the ID of the drip tip hole on the top cap at 10.95mm.
The ID of the drip tip its self expands out to 13.2mm.
It extends from the top of the tank 13mm.
Since a standard 510 drip tip hole is 8.5mm - 8.6mm, this leaves me to wonder why they'd do such a thing.
However I suppose I could just order the BFT Accessory kit that includes 2 replacement tank sections, 2 drip tips, replacement O-rings and screws.
The screws and screw driver is phillips.
Haven't measured the ID of the holes yet but I can already see I wish they'd accept larger wire.

It has huge juice fill holes.
Handles heat dissipation with ease.
Looks awesome on the IJOY LUX.
The threading isn't buttery smooth but nothing to complain about.
I'll try to update this after I spend more time with it.

Your a horrible influence! Made me remember I always wanted a Ohmega Calypso in black, Code 3 had it in stock with free shipping so I jumped on it.

Now to enable you did you see they have the new 30mm Beast tank by Ohmega? AFC and JFC with aromamizer style wicking and priced right for the black version at the place we have all spent way too much money: http://www.ecig.com/checkout/cart/configure/id/1029636/

Code 3 has it as well and if you want the Silver one it is a much better buy than ecig: http://www.code3vapor.com/ohmega-beast-tank/

Not sure if I am going to order myself but sure is tempting for about $23, got burnt on that damn Dumptank, worked great for a few weeks and now just Dumps juice all over the place.....grrrrrrr

Edit: For $23 what the hell, just bought it

I see what you did there.
I did see the Beast.
That HUGE base has kept me from purchasing it because it just looks like it's be a 45 pound block of metal.
I think it holds just less than the Alpha.
I DO like the fact that the deck comes apart in such a way you can build on it without any of the rest included.
Seems interesting.
There is one other tank that does that but I'm forgetting what it is.
For $23 I am considering it but damn it that base is so huge.
Without all that metal it'd probably hold 15ml of juice.

Damn you.....
ecig has the black one for $20 and using code "FLASH25" it was only $15.

Of course they release the coupon 8 hours after I placed my order...oh well, $4 difference is not something to cry over.

For $15 it is a why not purchase, just wish the SS was the same price.

I have a LUX coming in so when I saw your pics new I have to get another big tank, that mod cries out for it.

I agree, $4 isn't a concern however between the $4 and you twisting my arm like you did was bad influence.
haha
The LUX is indeed the best mod for it.
Glad I picked up two of them.
Too bad the top cap on my 30mm CCI Triforce is stripped cause it looked great on it too.
So while I blame you for causing me to order the Ohmega Beast at least I'll have a pair of great looking mods and tanks combos.

On one hand I'd like to thank you for bringing the Ohmega Beast Tank to my attention......
On the other hand.... thanks (sarcastically)

So what do you find to be the real life differences between the Alpha BFT and the Modfather?
Based on specs and pics they are very similar.
The bft is a bit cheaper made, the Modfather air adjust is a plus, juice capacity is similar, the Modfather wicking is easier.....
The Modfather is better in thickness of glass, and build quality....

Clouds are thicker and juice taste a bit better with the Modfather.

The most I liked about the bft was the short stubbly look.

And the bft leaked bad once in a while...

I didn't like the screws on the bft deck, I prefer hex.

Ahhh I see, $65 v/s $20.
Out of curiosity, how does the Modfather wick easier?
I only ask because they look pretty much the same as far as the removable deck.
Wouldn't the clouds be based on your coils, wicking material, and juice?
I have MANY tanks,RTA,RDTA, and such and I can create just about the same cloud on almost any of them if I put forth the effort.
Yes, I can get just as much cloud from an original Cleito as I can a limitless RDTA Plus.
Sorry to hear your BFT leaked, I've been pretty lucky on the leak front with all of my gear.
I think I agree with you on the screws, still too new to tell, only 2 builds on it so far.
If I come off as sounding like a total ass, half of that is 100% unintentional and I apologize.
The other half is because I do tend to be an ass sometimes, however it is ALWAYS unintentional. lol

By the way, great pics.
I like that you are as passionate as you are with ANYTHING you buy regardless of what anyone else thinks of it.
The way you stuck up for your purchase of those 18650s was solid.
Didn't matter what anyone else said, you felt you got a good deal and you liked them, that was all that mattered.
I do agree that your Modfather does indeed look great.
I'm also curious where you're getting your coils.
They look great.
Custom made, purchased in sticks, coils, self made.....and so on.
With my luck you've answered that part while I was typing this.

There are no holes to put Cotton in. It's a simple velocity deck ... The bft you cannot wick without taking it apart, the Modfather you unscrew the bottom and take out the deck.

I made my aliens, but in going to start buying them premade...

I think I was confusing my two tanks the Ohmega Alpha BFT and the Beast.
Since you have been such as advocate for the Modfather I have done quite a bit of research on it and I can definitely say that if it wasn't for the availability and price, I would have already ordered one just to be able to provide my own opinion since they seem to be 50/50.
The idea of the extension and other add-ons have intrigued me.
I'd be all for it for about $40 but not $65.
I'll sit on it for a while and see how I feel later.
I definitely appreciate the info you have provided on it though.

Rocco is also an advocate.....

There has to be a reason they don't sell under $65 bucks, and secondly you can't find them anywhere.....

Once you try it, everything else simply goes into the I'll use it someday box.

Based on what I read in the other thread was it sounded like there may be some available next week.
If that is true, I may get one and check it out.

I'm concerned with the "lie the wick down and hope it catches all the juice" wicking of the ModFather. No way I'm keeping a tank vertical all of the time.

The Ohmega has the wicking style like the old Indulgence Mutation X, which is still my favorite wick-er (if only they made it in a 30mm I'd be done!) No channels to tuck in, no "lay wick over hole", no wick hanging into tank, just run wick to bottom, snip off end. Whole wick gets to wick. Wish the Ohmega bft had airflow control, but I think I'm getting it anyway.

That said, really, how DO you keep the modfather from leaking when it lies down? wouldn't the wick lift off of the holes and let juice flow?

You had to do it didn't you.
Any minute @MannyScoot will be back in here to defend the blessed Modfather as if it were his child and spam us with 16 more pictures of it because we haven't already seen them 57 times.

I'm just fuckin with ya @MannyScoot I know you are extremely partial to the Modfather and it treats you well.
Defend away.
I don't have one so I can't help any.

However I do have the Ohmega Alpha BFT and Beast.
They both work well for me.
@awoodby if airflow is what you're lacking, try the Ohmega Beast.
It is basically the Alpha BTF with airflow added.
Kind of...
I like them both.

Not really lacking airflow, just want the larger build deck. I ordered the BFT. Or do you mean the beast has adjustable airflow? Nevermind I'll look at it!

I ordered the BFT after that post, looking forward to it!

And I like @MannyScoot's enthusiasm, figured he'd be a good one to explain/defend the lying-down-wick dealio. I Should just try it, but not for $60! Maybe a boreas first lol.

I can lay the Modfather on it's side and not a drop comes out. Once the wick is wet there is nowhere for the juice to flow.
The juice goes up the 4 wick holes, once they are juiced up nothing else flows...

I can say one thing.... I have owned 18 RTA's this year alone.... And nothing touches that fucking Modfather, nothing.

Bft... Waste of money....Good flavor, nice size and juice capacity.... Threads the worst I encountered and it's main flaw.... No air control, that's a big issue because according to your wick size it changes airflow and the damb thing loves to leak.... I don't care how good you are it leaks.... You can wick it every day and it will slow down the leaking but it will return.

The main flaw is they didn't calculate the cotton flattens out with time and shrinks after a day or 2 of saturation..... When this happens... Bam leaking....

I had that BFT for about (4) months before I got pissed and smashed it into the ground......

It sucks that you got one that leaked.
Maybe I was just lucky with my BFT.
It's been treating me pretty well.
When I first set it up I also wanted airflow control but after a few good pulls form it, I forgot my complaint.
For me personally it just works out.
Granted, maybe not for everyone.
I've only have mine for 13 days and ran 140ml through it so maybe I haven't had it long enough for the issues you had to come up.
Hopefully it stays that way.
Once I can get my hands on a Modfather I am interested in not only testing it out but also having it for my collection.
But I can't say it's something I'd stand in line for.
Maybe my opinion will change once I get one.

I knew you'd be here before long.
Good job explaining and defending.

Tell me how you really feel.
Don't hold back.
I'm sorry but I get upset paying money after bogus reviews from people who get shit for free..

I pay hard earned money to find out what a piece of crap the shit is. That the fucker said is the best RTA he has ever seen.

I'm just trying for people to see man this guy sounds like he's telling it the way shit is... I have been vaping the Modfather 12 to 14 hours a day, 30ml daily for (3)months, that's a test.... The damb thing looks and works the same as the day I bought it !!!!!!

So no one take it personal, and if you bought the item I'm talking so negative about see for yourself and tell it like it is !!!! You will find out on your own....

The vcmt ha what a joke... Wick it till your dick falls off and yes it will leak and you will see what a pain in the ass is that fucking ring.....

I've had all these fucking RTA's and I have learned there is one....
1. Built like a tank
2. Easy wicking
3. Amazing air flow
4. Large juice capacity
5.Threads smooth as butter
6. Fucking Clouds
7. Amazing taste
8.Gorgeous materials
9. A tip that doesn't get warm and you can stick your dick in it
10.Tank as thick as aquarium glass
11. 3 deck styles, big 17ml extensions
12.19mm deck with hex screws and giant post holes on a dual coil easy to wick deck.
13. Springs and extra hex screws and kick ass packaging.
14. Prime stainless Steel easy to hand buff scratches and strong.
15. 30mm higher size
16. Everyone that sees it.... Fucking dang that's one bad mother fucker
17. Use it for 6 months and sell the fucker for the same prize you got it
18. You can get it white or black

The RTA is a bad ass..... No shit.....

It's only after you take it apart and wick it 15 or 20 times before the threading starts acting funny.... Once it locks as you are screwing it the chimney and you back it off and try again, your done......

Don't drop it once.... Drop it and your done.... It bends internally chimney and top cap...very sensitive metal...... I'm just being honest .... Especially the black model is weaker than the full SS model...

I can totally understand that. No complaints and honest opinions are all we ever wanted.
When watching or getting a review from someone who didn't pay for it out of their own pocket, too many provide paid answers.
We just have to know how to read between the lines as we grow through this.

I am DEFINITELY going to pass on this one and not going to ask how you know.

Ahh, so I haven't rewicked enough to experience the issues.
However I do admit the threading could use less grit in it.

The grit gets worst.... If you wick every couple of weeks it gets even worse.... So it's better to wick at least weekly and get in the threads with a Q.tip and fresh ejuice and try to get rid of that grit...

The chimney bends if you squeeze it hard enough... I couldn't get the tank of one tank for nothing in the world.... I grabbed a towel and held so tight that somehow the chimney got bent.... That bft was history..... I had (3) and all 3 died.... It's just that you have to take the whole thing apart to wick it...... That open and close creates the threads to wear....

My Modfather has been closed for 3 months no need to open..... Unscrew bottom to wick and screw back..... That reason #19 or 20 why I like it....

I keep confusing the two (BFT and BEAST) since I am sitting here using both of them.
The Beast comes apart similar to the Modfather with the easy removable deck.

The beast is very close to the Modfather but with a bottom airflow there is a chance of ejuice coming into the bottom airflow and leaking... Most close and don't even use the bottom airflow.....

I am pretty happy with both my LUXs.
They aren't the end all of all mods for certain but they damn sure look good under a 30mm tank.
The Power Engine is definitely on my list as well as the Ijoy MAXO Quad.

Hey Manny, just got the Scottua tank clone from fasttech and that thing is a beast. The only thing I don't like is were the air holes are located, drops all the condensation on the 510. I have heard you talk about the modfather and Scottua being close vape wise, if that is the case then the Modfather really is a beast, really loving the Scottua

The Scottua flavor is amazing, the capacity is close to 11ml it is gorgeous and refined.... The mouth piece fits lips perfect and the deck is beautiful but again the air comes in from the bottom and condensation and some juice sneak right into the bottom flow and bam it leaks on your 510 platform and with time right into your 510 pin....

That sucks.... But the tank is beautiful, I got pissed at the condensation and bought the Modfather.....

Here is a video i made of the Scottua Clouds.....

Here is a simple fix for the Scottua. I used a plastic container that some orange chicken came in the old lady got, thoroughly clean first of course...lol. Cut for the 510 and trimmed so now the condensation gets trapped and I clean it everytime I refill.

Your right, I just dumped a full 10ml bottle in there and there was a little room. Great flavor and vape from this tank, makes me a little hesitant to pay $70+ for a modfather when this cost me 13.50 with the 10% off fasttech coupon.

I really would like a Modfather though, hard to find and damn expensive is the pisser.

I wouldn't be mad to see you start doing reviews. Hands down the most blunt, and at the same time hysterical review I have read in a long time. #9 leaves a lot of questions I probably don't want the answers to though o_O

Plus, you seem to be just about as rough on your equipment as I am, so that gives me some comfort too lol.
