I've been looking at the as yet released Yihi SX Mini G Class. It seems like there is some interest here so I decided to start a thread where people could talk about it. It's currently up for Pre-Order at Varitube for $219 shipped:
http://www.varitube.com/Pre-Order--SXmini--G-Class--Dual-18650-200W_p_408.html

It looks pretty sharp sporting a color screen and Bluetooth adjustability. The SX Mini line has usually been solid devices. The way I understand it at present is Yihi is no longer going to release two seperate mods, the G and G+. They decided to just release one mod and call it the G Class with all the functionality of the formerly mentioned G+.

@NickIsANoob That's what I'm hoping for. Back in the day I preordered an IPV3 (god those tiny screws to change the batteries... what were they thinking?) and I'm not even going to say what I paid for it, but within months it was selling for less than half. I'm kind of hoping the same happens here and more color options become available.

The only issue with that is Yihi has been known to deny warranty if you get it for less than the MSRP. I don't particularly like that type of practice, but it is what it is. I think if you go with a company like Varitube then it's not an issue since they will stand behind it. I just think it's worth mentioning.

Steve

My big concern with them is if they are battery eaters
Battery hog would be an issue. I'm starting a new job hauling concert equipment and will be on the road for 3-6 months at a time. I will be basically carrying EVERYTHING I own (vaping related) with me on my truck. Carrying a bunch of extra batteries would be a pain. But then again, this thing would look sweet backstage.

It has a. USB Type C Balance charge on board(5V/2A). I usually carry a portable power supply in my lunchbox. I bought the model that was out before this one. The only difference is this one supports USB C as well (mine was just USB)

These are very handy for mods as well as cell phones. I got mine for $29 from Anker Direct on Ebay

@Wingsfan0310 Now that's cool as heck! I can think of a ton of uses for that, but especially for this mod... hmmm now to just convince myself I can spend $200 on this thing. I wish I could think of a valid tax deduction reason. Since we are independent contractors, we've always used "smoking cessation program" but that's always been for much cheaper stuff.

So one thing I don't see an answer to is if this is pass through. That's kind of important to me. I was disappointed that the IPV6X wasn't and that's what prompted me to buy a couple Reuleaux's. It probably wouldn't be a total deal breaker if it isn't, but it's nice to have the option while driving and can't change batteries.

I carry a charger; and , have since before I was vaping. I reckon I'm spoiled on the evolv efficiency. Running the same build at the same settings of an older sx compared with a dna75 and the battery life is remarkably better on the dna. Granted, that's perception not scientific.

I don't know for sure but my DNA mods basically pause the charge when plugged in when you take a puff. It's not true pass through because I think with the power required in the mods we use now, a USB source isn't enough.
My DNA200/250 mods have a minimum input voltage of 6v - USB is 5v. I think that's what you are referring to - being able to use the mod while charging?

I have 2 chargers on the truck, but they're in the sleeper so I can't reach them from the drivers seat. Anything I buy now has to have USB charging, preferably pass through, that I can plug in real quick and easy while driving. I charge all my batteries in an external at least once a week to keep them balanced. So far so good, my batteries have lasted a super crazy long time. I regularly work 14 hr days and vape heavily. It's easy to have a spare tank filled and ready to screw on, but batteries are a little harder to change at 70 mph.

Yes exactly what I meant. I would be ok with the pausing while puffing. That would still work.

I actually like the look. Just my opinion.

The ding-a-ling must be the "joystick"... my best guess. I'm guessing kind of like the old blackberry phones.

Either she has small hands or this is a little bigger than I thought.
I think she has small hands. In one of the pictures I posted it's next to the Q Class. It's shorter than that. I hesitate to say this after the Ding-a-ling post, but it looks to be a tad thicker :giggle::devil:.
PS From what I understand, it has a 25mm 510 connector (25mm attys won't overhang)

Steve

The 25mm 510 would definitely be welcomed. But looking at it and knowing that, you can get an idea on the actual size of the mod.

I think this one is either you love the look or you hate it. Personally it's not on my top 10 list, no matter how well it performs. At least the price is down from that $300 price point they were talking about. I know that was for the G+, but as far as I can see, the only thing the G is missing is the Spiderman outfit the G+ was running around wearing.

Yeah I agree. I'm hoping the stainless webbing on the stainless mod is eventually released. That's the one I would prefer. Mostly because it's different than any other that I own, but I am still struggling with the price. I may wait til next summer and revisit this one.

Ok so a point someone made on the fastech sight that totally escaped me. The placement of the firing button is just like the old MVP. I do have to agree that's not the most ergonomic or convenient. I wish it was on the side like so many others. I hated that on my MVP. How I totally overlooked that is beyond me. But after thinking about it, it does seem like if you use your thumb to fire it, your palm will be hitting the joystick thingy.

I thought about that and grabbed my lux which I would assume would be bigger since it is a dual 26650. My thumb fits comfortable around my Lux were the fire button would be without being were the screen would be. My alien is small enough I could hit the fire button with either my index finger or thumb. I am hoping it is closer to the alien than the LUX. I am looking forward to this mod but the price does give me pause.

Yeah the think above the USB port is a joystick. There are no up or down buttons. Everything is controlled threw the joystick.

Usually Yihi's top of the line chip is reserved for their own line, the SX Mini line. If it comes out in other mods it will be custom mods. You won't ever see it in a mainstream, mass produced mod like an IPV for example.

PS Their top of the line chips are usually a 50 something, like 350j, 450j, 550j. They never sell those to be mass produced. The 330, 130, etc line are the ones you see in the mainstream mods

Maybe I'll look at the Triade DNA 250... I kind of feel like I need a "grown up" device. I don't know why... but I love the options on this thing. Someone needs to decide for me.
