Noob looking for iStick Pico partner

I've only been vaping for a week or two at most and want to kick my two pack a day icky stick habit. So please bare with me since I am still learning and have a long way to go

I have an Eleaf iStick Pico 75W TC, which for the most part I really do like it. My only issues arise from not wanting to vape the same flavor all day long. First, it is top fill, but it's partially blocked by design which makes a dump & fill a royal pain. Second and again by design, it's difficult to disassemble the tank because theres nothing to grip on the bottom portion.

So I would like to have something to use in addition to my Pico that will allow me to change flavors easily and frequently. I currently use just enough juice to cover the bottom of the tank, which still takes me two days to empty unless I dump & refill which is frustrating as I try to find my flavor niche As of now I more so care about 1 Getting my nicotine fix and 2 Flavor. I admit I haven't the slightest clue what is with the cloud hype.

I am currently vaping at 20W on my Pico (much higher and I choke) with 12mg juice at a 70/30 blend and already know I prefer a direct inhale. I also don't want to dive into building anything LOL Lastly, I prefer to go as inexpensive as possible since I've already dropped a good bit on getting started with my current setup, batteries, juice etc

Based on all of this, can anyone suggest something to use in addition to my Pico?

The only easy way to change flavors is to use a rebuildable, change the cotton and you're good to go with the new flavor.

Trying that with premade coilheads and the old flavor will linger anywhere from half a tank to it wont go away

You might just save your money and purchase a couple more melo 3 to keep two to three flavors. They work great and are cheaper. Then later on you can get you a couple more picos so you wont have to change anything.

Go rebuildable and use an RDTA like the avocado or go to a dripper. It not as difficult as it looks.. 5-10 minutes to change the coil(s) 30 seconds to a couple minutes for wick changes... Or get multiple tanks for multiple flavors. Yes switching flavors in a tank is a pain.. Prebuilt heads just makes it harder. You can use a syringe to suck out the old juice, but you still have the wick and coil to deal with.

Me I switch back and forth between unflavored and flavored juices, without changing wick or cleaning tanks all the time. A tank of unflavored between flavors pretty much cleans the residule fo the previous juices.... Doesn't work with all flavorings. But works for the ones I use mostly.

I like those tanks too! These are the only tanks my hubby will use and believe me I have tried many! His "setup" is the eLeaf mini 10w and the eLeaf GSAir tank and has used that for a year and a half now! I bought the Pico for him, but still prefers that 10w mini. These tanks are inexpensive and so are the coils!

I would suggest buying some eLeaf GSAir tanks as the mouth piece would give you a MTL hit instead of the wide bore drip tip on the Melo which is more for DL hits. You could buy a few of these at about $7.00 each and the same for a box of the 1.5Ω or the 1.2Ω coils. Above 1.0Ω coils are less harsh and you would be OK using your 12 nic in these! I read that people take out the coils and put in a baggie with the flavor they used, so they just use different coils when switching flavors. I always buy more cheap tanks when I test flavors.

Sooo... I ended up buying a Sigelei Fuchai 213 and I love it so much my Pico is collecting dust! I had also bought a Herkales V2 for my Sig, which was an epic fail as I completely hated it.

Now I'm still using the Sig Fuchai with the Melo 3 tank from the Pico and it works awesome! I've also found that franken juices can easily be washed out by simply running my coil under warm water and letting it dry, so thats a bonus.

NOW my problem is that I have been spoiled by the Sig Fuchai because the dual batteries last me four days (awesome). Downside is I have very tiny hands making it something I don't necessary want to take out in public. So now I am trying to decide if I should get another Melo 3 for the Pico, or sell the Pico and get something new. #TheStruggleIsReal

I would keep the Pico and get another Melo3 tank for taking out in public. I have smaller hands too and keep the big mods at home and drag my NeBox everywhere I go. I keep my spare charged batteries in a case in my purse, the tank holds 10mls of juice.
You should be charging the Sig batteries externally and keep them together always, and get a different battery for just the Pico.
Sell the Herakles Tank since you hate that.
You should always have backups too, what if something happened to the Sig and you sold the Pico? Buying a pack of cigs is not a backup plan for me, I have many mods, juice and tanks and coils and will be soon making my own coils, to make sure I never smoke another cigarette again!

Yeah I am thinking I might just do that.

I do have a separate battery set for both, and I know people say it's not good to charge via USB, so I only use a charger.

But thank you for reminding me! I need to order coils for my Sig or I'm going to be really upset LOL

You can get a can get a rta coil through sweet vapes for your melo 3 that eleaf make for only under 4 bucks. The results are great aprox 50 % more batt life, less heat to unit. I use stainless wire so I can use different modes. Saves a huge amount on coils and you can make the desired ohm's needed.

You Tube has many many videos on it. I just purchased my first coil DIY kit and some Kanthal and SS wire and will finally start to build my own coils too and have been vaping for almost 2 years, LOL! I have stock piles of manufactured coils for all my tanks, I buy 2 or 3 -5packs during great sales, plus I try to buy tanks that use the same coils( most of my tanks can use the Aspire Atlantis&Triton coils) and now I have bought rebuildable coils for those too.It is just nice to be able to make your own if the FDA Regs make it near impossible to purchase coils,I don't think they can ban wire.

Really not hard to do. When and if you like doing this in the future you have the option. Really if you can sew a button on a shirt this should be an easy task.

I hope so- it is just everything is soooo small, but I am going to give it a go soon. Winter is here and after all the holidays I will have time to fiddle with it!
After watching some videos, it really doesn't look that hard.

There's an app for that, LOL. I have to test four to eight potential new flavours most weeks, (we manufacture juice commercially), in order to see how a flavour performs in different devices I worked out that changing flavours in a starter kit (or anything using pre-builts) could be a snap if I just fitted a new (or 'recycled') atty, then pulled the positive pin off the used atty, (to allow the water to run right through it), run it under a tap for two minutes or so to flush out the flavour, then -after replacing the positive pin) just place it in a warm dry place to dry out for at least a day or two. Building up a small stock of atty's is always a good idea of course and always remembering to prime really well before vaping. Vape on.

Harbor frieght has the answer to bad eyes. They have this jewelers rig that has clamps for holding small parts and magnifying glass so you can see them all hands free. Although i just use a jewelers loop.. also from HF.

I allready have one of these have used it for making small soldering contacts when in need for extra hands and eyes.

Try a Tsunami or TwistedMesses RDA. It is a drip atomizer, so you don't wash your juice down the sink, they are easy to build on, and you can either
Vape on lower watts until the coils are nearly dry then juice over the old, or replace just the cotton. You can also dry fire the coils when you have the cotton out to burn off any build up. Depending on your coil build, you can probably get away with dripping every 10 to 18 pulls at lower wattage. And you don't really chain vape an RDA. Not like you do with a tank where you can drop the airflow and wattage and M2L for hours. lol. I vape pretty steady, a puff every couple minutes, and vaped over an hour without dripping.
