Samsung ICR 26F on .25 - .40 Ohms Coil build?

Hello everyone!

As the title says, I'm wondering if it's safe to run this Samsung ICR 26F on .25 - .40 Ohms Coil build?

I'm using a Tube type Mech Mod, and I started vaping just a few days ago, my friend who happened to have a Vape shop had to build this for me, his uncle uses the same build and have the same Samsung ICR 26F and I could say that he's pretty much safe (I guess) LOL. The Battery that my friend originally bought for me is an LG HG2, so yea, I'm just wondering if I could buy these Samsung ICR 26F as well and run it on these range of Coil builds.

I appreciate any helpful information that i'd get from everyone! Thanks a lot!

If you are smart... NO!
Your friend is not smart, the uncle is a fucktard hot mess that should stop vaping, go stick his finger a light socket or play in traffic at night wearing dark clothes... those would be safe, he is not a matter of if he is going to blow up but a matter of when.
I would trust them to not one god damned bit in regards to knowing shit about fuck all with vaping let along safety.

Is it still not safe even if we don't chain puffs?

NOPE NOT ONE BIT.

5amp batter in a metal tube pulling 3-10 times over the limit is not an if it will blow up but when. If you think OHMs law is meant to be bent or broken then Darwin's award is in your future.
the LG are safe.

This is what happens when you short/overload the amp limit.

This is after you play stupid games with the wrong battery and a mech not set up correctly.

Or an uncovered battery that contacts metal.

Helped me a lot! Thanks for these Infos and those very disturbing photos lol

Well they played stupid games and won stupid prizes.
They are just examples of people not paying attention to common sense safety.

Anyway, is Samsung ICR 26F safe to use on Vaping? If so, then what resistance would you recommend?

Put it this way...ICR batteries are not safe in general with vaping, they decide to go nuclear they literally are a bomb in a tube mech, they go pop and boom. INR/IMR vent and can bubble and sizzle (INR) or if really overloaded can go off like a Roman candle. The HG2 are INR safer chemistry high drain batteries designed for high amp stress applications like power tools, the 26F is a 5amp max amp designed for applications like flashlights or power packs with a control board, not vaping. For a mech application use 4.2volts/your resistance (your ohm's)=max amps you will pull

4.2v/1ohm=4.2amps
4.2v/0.5ohms=8.4amps
4.2v/0.25ohms=16.8amps
See how splitting resistance in half the amps double each time????

Best batteries for your builds are the LG HB2,4, and 6 1500mah 30amp true CDR <--Nothing on the market out does these for amps, if it says it is higher is a liar (Efest, IMRen, and others)
Sony VTC3 1600mah 28amps
Sony VTC5A 25amp 2500mah
LG HD2/HD2C/HD4 2000mah 25amp
Sony VTC4 2100mah 20 to 25amp
Samsung 25R 2500mah 20 to 25amp
Sony VTC5 2600mah 20amp
LG HE2 and 4 2500mah 20amp
Samsung 30Q 3000mah 20amp
Sony VTC6 3000mah 19amp
LG HG2 3000mah 18amp

All of these listed are IMR or INR

In the US/Canada/Mexico buy from these vendors

Not safe and even extremely stupid!
It's a wonder his uncle didn't blow half his face off yet.
Don't even try, not just in case, not just to make sure, pull them out and never use them again unless it's in a flashlight.

@BigNasty , some scary pictures there. I understand the image of the boy with the burnt face happened with a Wotofo Phantom, the mod I am currently using. I am using the standard 510 connection, and a suitable battery though within its limits.

As others have already said, no way is this safe. I wouldn't even recommend the 26F for a regulated mod due to its low amp limit, let alone sub ohming in a mechanical mod. Also given its ICR chemistry I would never use it for vaping. A quick google search showed me a popular store I have bought from in the past sell this battery for vaping though, which I think is very unsafe.

You can get a higher capacity, 20A battery that would be a lot safer than using that battery. Or you could get an identical capacity, sony VTC5A that has tested out as good for 25A constant discharge.

I really am sad to hear that your friend owns a vape shop, and lets his uncle run such a build using this battery. If you want to use a mech, please, please use good batteries suitable for your needs, and also know what you are doing.
If you only want to learn the most basic of things, and just want an alternative to smoking, go for a regulated mod suited to a beginner. Your face will thank you for it.

EDIT: reading that you have only just started vaping a few days ago, I really do suggest a regulated mod to start with. They are available so cheaply now, and offer you many protective features that a mechanical mod does not.
With a mech, YOU are the safety features.

Being completely new to things, until you have a complete grasp on things such as Ohms law, battery safety, and setting up and maintenance of your mod and RDA, I would go regulated.

I removed the gore pictures, I am sure everyone had a chance to see them.

This battery is being asked about (and unfortunately sold) quite often.
It's not that cheap, it has low capacity for it's rating and has low rating and it's an ICR which makes it worst in case something goes horribly wrong, so a bad battery in every way, especially for vaping.

Every vape shop owner that sells those, should be taken to the city square and flogged :D
