Aspire Cleito, am I getting bad coils?

All of a sudden I'm having trouble with my 2 Cleito tanks. My initial coil that came with the units didn't last long (2 days on one and 4 on the other, using 15mls of juice between the 2 tanks) and then some other coils were lasting about a week. However, the replacement coils I've bought seem to be giving me quick trouble. I put a coil on last night and now it's giving me inconsistent hits and tons of spit back. Another coil also give me fits pretty quickly as well. Am I doing something wrong or is it the coils? I keep an eye top and have try not to have it too tight but I do notice a fair amount of air bubbles when I loosen it (does this mean I'm still keeping it on there too tight?). I'm vaping at 60 watts which is the top range of the .4ohm ratings from the company and I use a 70/30 VG/PG juice.

Just wondering if I've just got a batch of bad coils or if it's me. It's getting pretty frustrating.

the clieto does spit back a little. I'd try lowering the wattage if your getting burnt taste or upping the wattage if your getting a lot of spitback.
Always keep the top tight. you should get bubbles as you vape.

Yes this happened to me when I first bought the Cleito tank, after just few days the 0.4 coils started to give much less clouds so I changed to 0.2 and the same happened, I guess it was a bad coil.
Yesterday I got 1 coil 0.2 and worked fine, and a few hours ago I got 0.4 and it is working fine.
I will see how long these 2 coils will go and report back.

Are you referring to the original Cleito or the Cleito120?
I've not spent a lot of time with the 120 but not had much luck with coil life on them.
However the original Cleito last me up to 2 weeks.
For me and the amount I vape, that's a good thing.

This is the regular Cleito. On the current tank it will go thru a tank full just fine and then the next tank full will give me fits again. I'll start getting really dry hits. I will loosen the cap, get a bunch of bubbles, tighten the cap back up and then get 3 decent vapes before the dry hits pop back up again. It's just odd.

The .4ohm that I got with the tank lasted 2 days. The .2 that I got with the tank lasted about a week. Then it seems like any replacement .4ohm coil just wants to give me trouble. I make sure I clean things up good when I switch out coils but things just don't go very far till I get trouble. I have to be doing something wrong.

If you loosen the cap and get air bubbles, more than likely the juice holes are not flowing properly.
The juice you're using could be clogging them.
Are you using super sweet or extreme high flavor percentages?
It could be caramelizing on the coils.
You should NEVER have to loosen the cap to get air or juice flow.
Maybe try a different pack of coils from somewhere else.
Or use a needle to kind of fluff the cotton in the juice holes, or just poke a hole in it to see if there is any difference.
It's possible you just got a bad pack of coils or the entire issue could be in your juice.
Just possibilities.

It is expected to get bubbles while you vape due to liquid/air displacement.
However you should never have to loosen the cap just to get air into it.

Well, I switched to coils bought from another source on Saturday and thought I had a winner till it died tonight. same deal, I started getting bad hits and the only way to relieve the problem is to unscrew the top every 2 hits and 7 or 8 bubbles come up. One thing of note is I did change juices a couple of times so I dunno, maybe that kills it quicker. I've got a couple other brands of tanks coming and will see if I can have a lot better success.

For testing purposes, try using just one juice on that particular tank.
You could test each one to find out of t is just one particular juice killing it.
My guess is it's either a super sweet one, dairy, or custard style.
Simply speculation though.

That's a pretty good idea. I'll start doing that and will try to keep track of how many times I do refills and see if there is a notable difference.. Most of what I use is fruit flavored and some have either cream or pastry in the flavor. But heck, if I don't use those types of flavors, I'm not sure what I would us.

My Cleito 120 spits, especially when I'm running low on juice. And I feel like the coils just get that burnt taste way faster than most of the other tanks I've used.

You're getting a vacuum lock. Something isn't seated right somewhere. Don't screw the coil in too hard or it'll squish the oring and mess shit up. I gave up on the coils and got the RTA, flawless setup with that.

I might play with that idea on my next coil. Thanks for the input. Yes it would seem like some sort of sealing issue. Maybe I got too much gunk built up on the top seal.

Good grief, 48hrs and my setup is toast once again. That is the 4th or 5th coil in a row that didn't make it past 36hrs. I kept track of the juice this time and I was shy of using 20ml of my black cherry. I've got another juice I'm going to switch to and give it a run.

Same drill again this time, about 48hrs into the life of the coil it stops taking in juice. Only way to keep it working is to unscrew the top after every two hits. This is nuts.

I am on my first ever cleito coil. Using the .4 ohm one up first....Running at 50w or so, has had 3 tanks run through it with zero issues.

When it rains it pours. I just got another tank, this time a Cleito 120. Worked awesome for 3 days. Loved the flavor, cloud and everything else. Sat it on my nightstand last night only to wake up and all the juice was gone. Over 3mls of juice leaked out the bottom. I've no idea why this happened. I cleaned the tank up and put a new coil in it. I vape on it about 8 times and then it started spitting really bad and I realized it was leaking again. Another 3mls of juice was wasted.

What on earth is going on? Is it me or is it Aspire? Bad coils or bad tank? Am I apparently a dofus that can't operate a vaping tank anymore?

Yep, I do the presoak, I do the hits off the tank without hitting the fire button and I also start at a low wattage and work my way up.

The regular Cleito gets vapor lock within 48hrs. The Cleito 120 just dumps juice thru the air holes. I did a search and found out the vapor lock is not uncommon at all. In the end this design when it works is awesome, problem is its finicky. I've got two tanks that are just bad right off the bat. I'm done with the Cleito crap. It's just not worth the BS and it's not user error.

Luckily I do have a new Big Baby Beast and I'm gonna roll with this and see how it goes. I'm certainly not going to recommend the Cleito to my friends. To those that have one that works well, congrats.

Never heard of a clieto that fails to wick. But the smok tanks are great too. Hope u enjoy it

Did u check for the small rubber o ring that usually comes on the coils to see if there is another one stuck on the inside? Also I think I read that you are running at 60 w could it be that your actually running more watt. Also something to think about if you leave this out in the car during cold weather the juice will become very thick and cause it not to flow.

Not sure what you mean about a other o-ring on the inside of the coil? Do you mean the second o-ring on the base of the coil or if you mean if they were doubled up at the same spot?

With the regular Cleito I had started running it between 40 and 44 watts on the last 2 coils because I had switched juices and it didn't taste good at 60 watts. However I'm still getting vapor lock at about the 48hrs mark.

I've yet to leave either the Cleito or the Cleito 120 in the car.

Sometimes a o ring will come off coil and stay inside the tube and when you install new coil you will have two o rings place which can cause problems. You might check out the Goblin v3 simply amazing tank with great flavor.

If I recall correctly, it's rated for 120 and can do up to 160. However, a number of people out there like to run them at around 75 watts.

I have the same issues and am starting to think it's a combo of inconsistant build quality in the coils and juice with lots of sweateners in cloging up the devices liquid flow path. try a new coil with a 0sweetner juice and see if it makes a diferance ... i'm doing the same with the next juice i make.

I still need to try the RBA. I just ordered one from the Aspire website. A long with some pre built claptons. They are the same ones that come installed
