What is more dangerous? Laptop-like battery or mech mod?

It's not only trolling, it's real disturb me
When I asked about laptop-like batteries in <15W/battery, I've read

So no just no.

that can end up hurting your or burning your house down

Now I have to ask, why do you wish to take the risk? Will something happen? Probably not. Can something happen? Most certainly.

don't be a cheap bastard and get proper

You seem to know it's wrong

It's funny, as for me, I also use words like this when I see mechmod-boy).

I know A LOT of people who damaged himself with mech. It really can explode, it leaves burns on some body, short circuit, i have seen damaged hands... And we know about people who died thanks to mech.

Anyway, mechs are very popular in my city, especially in schoolboys, and really not very smart people, who even know Ohm's law.

As for me, the worst thing in mech is variable wattage when battery charged and discharged. If don't pay attention on li-ion features, power will reduce from 4.2 to 3 volt about 2 time (I asked about li-ion IRL http://vapingunderground.com/threads/how-li-ion-works-in-mech-mod.295265/ , but I can not get the answer)

On the other hand, I don't know a single case of 5Amp (laptop-powerbank-like batteries) in mods with problem, especially use it like 5Amp battery (3v*15Amp=15 watts per battery, 30 watts on dualbattery, especially parallel battery mod).

As for me, I use dual Panasonic 18650B 3400mAh in 100w TC with 6.7A specification (30w is enough for me) about 4 month.

Despite all this, mech mods are normal variant of vaping, 5A batteries (if you use it agree to this specification) are «horrible, stupid, idiotic» version of vaping

Really, I admit I can have wrong representation, but I want to get more statistics. Please, show me a real cases of problem with 5A battery in mods

What I beelive: using small-watt mods (<30) gives you a lot of advantages. At least, I can use any battery and don't worry about specification (in parallel mode). May be it is risky, but less than mech mod. If a lot of people use it, even don't know basically things/agree with 2 times power lost, when it discharge (and about 1.4 amp more using, from discharged to charged state), why not, if these people agree with some risks too?

Please, don't be very emotional, base your opinion on real cases that you know personally.

People have told you NOT to use the fucking laptop batteries. You still want to argue. You still don't get it. You are still stirring the pot with people.

Shut the fuck up and move on to another topic or just go the fuck away.

>When that many people tell you that something isn't safe, and a very bad idea, how is it,
It's not an argument. More people says that mech are good and «мехи валят», like "mechs gives more power than mod, box mod sucks"
And even more people, especially with mass media help, says that cigarette smoking is less dangerous than vaping.

Doesn't posting cyrillic violate some rule around here? Because that google translation is really for shit. And I know we cuss a lot on this forum, but do people in Russia really cuss like, every other word?

Mechs only give "more power than regulated mods" if you use sub-ohm coils. If you use sub-ohm coils, then you need high-amperage, high-drain batteries, whether you're using a mech or a regulated mod, because using low-amperage batteries in a situation that requires high amperage is just asking for a fiery accident. As someone said in the other thread said very wisely -- will a very bad thing happen? Maybe not. CAN a very bad thing happen? ABSOFUCKINGLUTELY. Arguing with that is like arguing that the world is flat just because you don't see the curve of the Earth with your naked eyes.

People who say that smoking is less dangerous than vaping are clearly a) ignorant, b) ill-informed, or c) stupid, OR, they have a financial axe to grind which requires the deaths of half a million people per year or requires that many or more to need asthma, COPD, or cancer medications. Or both.

Dreamject , how about maybe you put some thought into your thread placement please, I've moved just about every thread you have posted so far, it's not like you can't look to see where it would be better posted, this is in the vaping health area when it should go into the battery area. :wait:
Thread moved~

We do remind members this is an English speaking forum, if persisted other language is posted after a warning , it is up to our discretion to give warning points if it continues.

That's what I thought. And hell, if it was in Roman characters like spanish or french or italian, at least we might have a ghost of a chance at figuring it out, but cyrillic? It looks like chicken scratches! :giggle:

 why not?
When I ask ambiguous question and get different point of view, pros and cons, I can change my hard faith more, than emotional and rude posts, I try to guess something.
Firsly, ICR battery, do not «explode» as ISIS bomb, it begin increase temperature not fast. I have seen youtube video on this forum, it «explode» aroud 200°C, i guess I can feel it (and my mod too, cuz it has temp protection).`
Temp increasing is the main thing for battery dagerous, in my mod on 30W batteryes has about body temperature, if you charge it and use it.

Most of the human race leaves me speechless -- my grandfather always told me, if you can't say something nice, don't say anything at all. :giggle: Why do you think I'm a hermit? ;)

Yep, I'm close to that point and I'm planning to move down and up into the Andes soon. The 1st world society .... let's just say I'm tired of it ;)

Someone that knows what they are doing when it comes to mechs and battery safety, will likely never have an issue

A computer guru can have their laptop go up in flames just the same as a total beginner can

Total beginner using a mech is an accident waiting to happen

I don't know anybody in real life, who knows about mech. Why am I can thing about me? Because I am admin of biggest vape community in my town. And nobody knows nothing. Respected «protected by chemistry» IMR-like batteries may be great thing, because I learned that some guys use 0.02 Ohm, and some guy use 0.06 on paralel-battery (2) mech.

I don't know how it works, but in my case, in my town mech is symbol that user does not even know Ohm law and wanted to have MOOOOOOOOORE VAPOUR, simple beeling that fatter coils are BEEETER

I have to hand it to 'em this the most impressive trolling I have seen I quite awhile. They managed to cram horrible battery safety, Russians, and even a cameo by ISIS into all of it. All the delicious ingredients for a button pushing stew especially in light of current events I'm quite impressed.

Na Zdorovie.

Shit I forgot the whole anti-freeze/cancer thread in all of that for bonus points.

Why, you live in Canada? :giggle:

Here in the US, a dashcam is a mighty good thing to have, lots of stupid running around out there. Here in GA, the damn Dems are STILL protesting the election, trying to get the Electors to not vote for Trump, though the state was overwhelmingly in favor of him. Just... stupid.

So true but in all honesty malicious company's like eFest share a large portion of blame for grossly inflating their battery capabilities.

To be perfectly honest I'd probably have blown my face off already from using eFest purple batteries if it wasn't for Mooch. Scum companies need to have their ass's sued off for the malicious shit they do.

Actually I'd say 33% to each of those, and 33% to the user himself, for not doing his homework. Nobody can be expected to know all that a vaper needs to know, right off the bat, but those of us who've kept with it, did our homework -- most of us here, simply by hanging around a vaping forum and absorbing the knowledge of the group-consciousness; asking questions of what we didn't understand, or just following along with the Q&A's of others. Anyone who buys any sort of new tool needs to know how to use that tool, and if they don't even bother asking, then it's at least partly their own fault -- at Home Depot, if you buy a chainsaw, there's an expectation that you know how to use a chainsaw, and that if you don't, you ask questions, read stuff, etc. It's not Home Depot's fault if you manage to cut off a limb.

Ahh but the difference is that Chainsaws come with directions for safe use..
Almost no vaping gear comes with proper safety warnings or proper operation instructions.
And none of the legit battery makers even intend that their batteries be used for vaping.

the CPSC WILL take over safety regs mods at some point.
