Is it possible that the rubbing alcohol may degrade some plastic or rubber parts on the mods and attys? I would personally only use alcohol on metal and glass, but that is just me.

I won't use rubbing alcohol, it's toxic. If you must use alcohol use high proof Vodka or Everclear.

I actually use a non toxic jewelry cleaner in my ultrasonic, which I give it a thorough rinsing afterwards.

91% Isopropyl evaporates clean. I've been using it for years. It's the best thing to remove machining oil.

I know some in the Pipe community use it to clean out their Pipe's, I still won't use it. No real reason while there are non toxic alternatives out there that actually work better. Dishsoap will work much better than rubbing alcohol, Simple Green, etc. The non toxic jewelry clean I use works brilliantly.

Rubbing alcohol is far less toxic to me, because I'm never tempted to drink it.

I use good old vodka and a tad of soapy water also. However, a while back I bought the Coil Master ultra sonic cleaner, which I have yet to use. I don't use enough equipment to warrant that.

By the way, I found some stiff Bristol pipe cleaners that are GREAT for cleaning inside of your expensive coils on Amazon - $5.89 for 132ct.

Is torching your coils now considered old news?

I'd like to purchase some beautiful, high end, specialty custom coils. I only use Kanthan and maybe a little SS since I use it on VW.
Any suggestions?

I used to torch, but when getting quality wire that's already pre-annealed not really needed. I still do sometimes when I'm making some fused clapton nano coils (34x2/40). It just depends, but if you've got quality annealed wire it's not really needed.

My recommended sources of wire
Kidney Puncher
Atomizer Wicks
Pure Atomist
Temco

I just get my coils glowing a few times. Then add some E-Liquid, burn that off and then install my wick.

And all new tanks get a trip to the UC with plain water and a dash of white vinager

I would not use it to clean a pipe with as they will soak it up.
I use it clean my vape stuff though.

I couldnt imagine doing that to a pipe either. Good pipes are so expensive and even though I wont be using them, I could imagine that alcohol would ruin a good, broken in, wooden pipe.
