New guy here

I just upgraded to a RX2/3 and a Cloud Beast as a News Years resolution to finally quit smoking. I'm coming from a Eleaf Aster with a Nautilus Mini I used on and off trying to kick a 20+ year pack a day habit.

I'm using the V8-T8 coil with 6mg juice and vaping at 40 watts. I like the cooler vape at 40 watts with the air completely open.

My question is is there any harm in only vaping at 40 watts on a 0.15ohm coil? The coil says 50-260 watts but best between 120-180 but anything over 60 chokes me out.

No harm I know of. It is more of a higher wattage set-up, but maybe you'll grow into it when your lungs get used to the increased vapor. It's called a Beast for a reason, lol. If it's working for you, have at it :)

And Welcome to VU:cheers:

This ^^^
Don't be afraid to bump it up as you get used to it though. I think the flavor really starts opening up the higher you get. I like mine around 90-95 and it's still a cool vape (IMO).

No harm but not a good vape either.
High wattage probably chokes you because you're using a too high nic level.
I would say 6mg is the maximum suitable for that tank.

This, too ^^^

It makes so much vapor, a lower nic % will give you the fix you need. Works for me, anyway.

like mentioned above 6mg of nic is probly a little high for the .15 ohm T8 coil in the Beast.. Rated up to a whopping 260w I vape mine with 2.5 mgs of nicotine around
125-135w..2-3 DL pulls and I'm good..

I never tried vaping the beast at 50 watts, so I just tried it. The tanks does work fine at 50 watts, but the flavor is much better at 85-90 watts.

I've been vaping my Cleito 120 at around 80 - 90 watts even though the coil recommends 100 - 120.

I'm somewhat new to vaping so maybe my lungs are shot from smoking or maybe I'm just not accustomed to the higher wattages yet. In any case, it seems to run fine at 80 - 90 watts.

Same here on my cleito 120.

try the v8 baby-t8. Its at 50-110 watts best at 60- 80 watts. or the v8 baby Q2 at 40-80 best at 55-65 watts. its less money then the bigger beast,no point and wasting money if you don't need too and you'll get batter flavor staying at the recommended watts.

Thanks for all the advice. I cut my juice to around 3mg (using 18mg and have a bottle of 0mg in same flavor so eyeballing it) and it is great at 85watts. Super smooth and no choking. Flavor is way better too and I'm still satisfied. The 6mg was just too harsh in the juice I have.

Thanks again guys, I was getting discouraged thinking I had jumped too far ahead in the vape game.

I use a big baby with baby x4 coils. Run between 45-55 depending on the juice and mood. No issues. Juices are 3mg and 6 mg.
