Not even close to noon on a Sunday. Damn Andria, the bed fell down? :giggle:

No, my nose and sinuses decided that upright was the only position in which they'd consent to unblock. With the extreme cold, the furnace ran more than usual overnight, plus the little space heater in my room, and that always blocks me up. Now the fuckers won't stop running, so I have to blow my nose every 5 minutes, or drip into the bacon grease. Think it's time to go above and beyond my usual morning zyrtec, and take a benadryl, to dry this shit up. Better living thru chemistry! :giggle:

Most seem to spew anything in their mind on Facebook or thru their cellphone.
How can anyone tell their life stories on Facebook and such and expect any privacy?

Do comprehend your point. I got told something once though regarding that. A person can say anything, until it's confirmed by evidence it remains false. For example, I could tell you I am sitting here naked. I am not but that serves the purpose. You possibly could believe I am sitting here naked, until you saw it via web cam or walking by the door of our bedroom & seeing me in the flesh, it would be false.

No, I am not saying anyone on Facebook in specific lies, deceives others. Factually though, we do know people lie. So, you need the evidence to make it true. Merely saying anything is not probable cause except in certain situations, at least some preponderance of evidence needs to exist and in plain sight. We're now keen upon video evidence. I have to chuckle at that too. Video can be falsified rather easily if you know what you're doing, got some reasonable equipment.

Playing devil's advocate, I can also comprehend how folks expect privacy while still airing the dirty laundry in public. It is called common courtesy, respect, dignity and in general the Golden Rule. Of course, you already expected me to see both views. I seem to usually find the middle path, walking straight ahead yet sidling along sideways. :)
To answer a question you might consider regarding me, yes, I am quite happy with mediocrity as it requires excellence more so than simply being excellent or terrible. Took me a bit to figure that out but I did. :)

It was 15 here yesterday morning. This morning, 21.

It was actually 20 at 11ish when I hit the lil whirligig on my phone to make it update, but at some point it had been 15, because that's what it said before I tapped the whirligig. It wasn't too bad in my room, thx to the space heater, but when I opened the door I about froze my noogies off; the stupid thermostat, natch, had set itself to 62, and it was farkin 62 outside my room. Brrr. So I turned the thermostat up to 72, put the water on to boil, grabbed my phone for entertainment, and made tracks back to my room to let it warm up a bit, and the water to boil.

Chop, what did the doc say?.....you basically fucked, or can you go back to work in the future?

It is looking more and more like I am fucked. When they put the stint in they put me on some medicine that the side effect was shortness of breath. After a week on that I couldnt even stand up without panting so they changed the meds around and kept telling me the side effects would go away. They didnt. The lung doctor says I am out of shape, thats all and like I tried to tell the idiot, I was walking 10K steps a day for the past 6 months prior to that with no problems, now I cant walk much at all without being out of breath. It also has a nasty side effect of causing high blood pressure in the lungs which is effecting the heart, so yeah, it looks like I am fucked.

The company I work for has this new requirement of a fitness assessment before returning to duty. It is hard labor of 4 to 6 hours. I did most of it once already and know I cant pass it in my current condition. It is actually more physical exertion than I would normally do during a normal two week work hitch but the company I work for doesnt want to hear it, they only want reasons to get rid of us top of the pay scale mechanics. If it wasnt for the fitness assessment, I would of already returned to work and been treated for my breathing problems on my days off.

Well, it's 39 degrees here. I've been up for a couple hrs, but last night I remembered to setup my humidifier, so my sinuses wouldn't get so fucked from excessive heating, and it helped, but sleeping was troublesome anyway; leg cramp kept trying to bother me, and some malfunction with my eye. I may take zyrtec daily, but if I get a cat hair in my eye, it's as bad as it ever was, pre-zyrtec.

Rixy... I think you're too old to wear pants that tight. ;)

haha, they weren't when I bought them but I had convinced myself that I could still get in them and they were fine, nothing worse than a reality check of the sound of ripping material and you have your four kids pointing and laughing at you.
That's the trouble with jogging bottoms, you don't really notice that much until you try to put a pair of trousers on, the time has come I'm afraid to get some self control back

Or too tight to be wearing pants that old
Good one ! :teehee: I just refuse to buy the next waist size up

I did. But I gained it back. hehehehe
Ditto, I was doing so well until December, then it all went downhill........literally

But buy some new, bigger pants, hey? Trust me... bigger pants are much easier to come by than weight loss, once one reaches a certain age. ;) I haven't worn pants tight enough to be in danger of ripping (or cutting off the circulation in my legs) in about 20 yrs. :D

One word: SPANDEX! They *look* tight... but they give a lot better, for middle-aged bodies. ;)

Yeah, I gotta trim down also - but now it's serious.

Had to buy all new pants last month

For now my DR says: No sugars, no carbs, no fat, no alcohol. I already can't do dairy

Geez, I'd have asked for a referral to Dr Kevorkian, with all those "do nots." Pray tell, what the hell does he suggest you eat? Kale? :giggle:

Pretty much: spinach, lettuce, cabbage, he okayed eggs, and remarkably, no restriction on sodium

I could never eat that way, since I can't eat eggs, too much cholesterol, which I can't digest. Surprising he allowed them, given their high cholesterol content. What about fish or chicken? I mainly live on those, though I have no problems with pork, since it has little to no cholesterol. Hence all the morning bacon and sausage. :D

But I refuse to get rid of carbs, or sugar. I've been very gradually cutting down on the amount of sugar I use, so I never need to go totally without it -- and baked goods are my real weakness. I try to avoid them, since I'm trying to avoid obesity, but now and then... I gotta have a muffin. :D But I can't live without grains: whole wheat and/or double-fiber bread, brown rice, oatmeal, grits.

You can't always trust what doctors tell you, JuicyLucy,

A few years back I started going to see a skinny doctor. He said I was overweight and would have to cut out the beer or cut out a meal, so there went breakfast. A couple of months later I saw him again and he said I was still overweight and would have to cut out the beer or cut out a meal, so there went lunch. I didn't go back to that crazy crackpot because he would have had me eating no food at all and that can't possibly be healthy.

Then I found a fat doctor and he said my weight was normal. So you need to go and find a heavier doctor.
