Since doctors always told me "just quit," about smoking, and dentists always told me not to smoke after any dental procedure, I figured out a long time ago that anyone entitled to wear the white coat doesn't really have the first fucking clue what he's talking about. The doc I have now, I like, and actually trust, because he always told me, if I couldn't quit, try to cut down as much as I could -- which is HARM REDUCTION, and hey, I can do that. Plus, the cutting-down made switching over to vaping much easier. Now, I vape, and although my doc is concerned about the exacerbation of my asthma, he's so thrilled that I finally quit smoking, he doesn't give me grief, just writes the prescriptions. I see him about twice a year, for my asthma checkups and refills, and he continues to be delighted that I'm still not smoking, because he knows as well as I do, quitting is the easy part... STAYING quit, there's the rub for most smokers.

That's why I'm still ordering the wta juice until I feel comfortable giving that up. It's really weird, but I can take a puff or 2 off a cigarette and not crave one. But, when I burn brush, I crave one. It's so strange. And then I even dream about smoking. But it's ONLY when I burn.

Yeah, I gotta trim down also - but now it's serious.

Had to buy all new pants last month

For now my DR says: No sugars, no carbs, no fat, no alcohol. I already can't do dairy

That suxs lucy.

I am still surprised my doctors never put me on any dietary restrictions.

Well, I've managed to live off of greens, eggs, a few nuts (which I hate) and lean pork since Tuesday night

You'll just have to spoil yourself with great tasting vape juices, that's what got me through the last diet, it's how I got my sweet fix.

Not sure how much more indulgent I could be vape-wise without going into serious debt :giggle:

I did order some juice that I got a sample of and really liked: Ice Cream Man's Caramel Waffle Cone. Gotta find a good clone recipe for that, it is delicious and can't wait to vape it some more :D

Maybe once my liver simmers down I do a cheat day or something, but until that happens, I'm ass-out food wise

I had a smoking dream a couple nights ago, but I don't get too upset about them anymore. I even sometimes still think "hmm, a smoke would be good", if I'm really bored or something. But vaping makes me forget I ever thought such a thing. :D No way in hell I'd go back to that slavery, and if I could go back to 1975, I'd slap that fucking Kool right outta my hand!

Heck, some days I don't even vape that much. I make a big deal about how 25R's or HE2's can last me 2 days, but occasionally it's closer to 3. The weird thing is, I know if I even tried to quit vaping, I'd start craving cigarettes FOR REAL, even though I know they'd probably taste like shit on a cracker at this point, and I've been off WTA almost a year now, and vaping 3mg nic. For me, it's entirely mental at this point.

It is looking more and more like I am fucked. When they put the stint in they put me on some medicine that the side effect was shortness of breath. After a week on that I couldnt even stand up without panting so they changed the meds around and kept telling me the side effects would go away. They didnt. The lung doctor says I am out of shape, thats all and like I tried to tell the idiot, I was walking 10K steps a day for the past 6 months prior to that with no problems, now I cant walk much at all without being out of breath. It also has a nasty side effect of causing high blood pressure in the lungs which is effecting the heart, so yeah, it looks like I am fucked.

The company I work for has this new requirement of a fitness assessment before returning to duty. It is hard labor of 4 to 6 hours. I did most of it once already and know I cant pass it in my current condition. It is actually more physical exertion than I would normally do during a normal two week work hitch but the company I work for doesnt want to hear it, they only want reasons to get rid of us top of the pay scale mechanics. If it wasnt for the fitness assessment, I would of already returned to work and been treated for my breathing problems on my days off.
Sorry to hear that, Doc.

Could you start your own business, repairing-servicing helicopters?

Excellent idea Inspects. There are also inspector/consultant type possibilities I'd explore

With the way the regulations are and the FAA attitude of "we are here to violate you" it would be almost an impossibility at my age. The start up cash for such a venture is more than I could come up with.
Even tho I am highly trained with an excellent unblemished record of 30 years in the industry, the only way I could get close to what I am making now is to be able to return to where I was. Sadly after these last 8 years of government the market is flooded with aircraft mechanics and even with helicopter maintenance being a specialty the gulf coast oil and gas operators have already laid off hundreds of helicopter mechanics.

If the lawsuit I have on the surgeon who botched my hernia surgery and cut my intestines then sent me home and went septic ever settled I would have no worries and be able to retire, but until that happens I will be in a bind. It has been already 15 months but as the lawyers told me it could take up to 5 years before it is settled.

That's not good, sorry to hear that too...:(

But, you have a good imagination and head on your shoulders, I'd bet you figure something out which would make life easier, even being in this predicament.

Yeah I agree with this, once a smoker, it always stays with you, it's all in the mind.

I actually had a cig last month and I took one drag and that was enough for me to know even without vaping I will never smoke again. The taste was so bad, I couldn't get it out of my mouth for ages and the smell on my fingers just made me wanna puke up. How on earth I smoked 60 a day is beyond me, it's nice though to feel completely free. That is the third time since I quit vaping that I have done that, every single time was due to having a drink or at a party where I seem to lose 90% of my brain cells (ain't got that may to start with lol)

Morning Y'all

@chopdoc Have you tried the Super Tank mini 25mm RTA ? What a great tank that is and at a great price, I rate it up there in my top 3. Gonna get a few more of them.

Happy day today :)

I still like the taste of a good ole cig. Guess that can be a little dangerous. But, I LOVE vaping.
I should buy and Alien or not.
Don't buy one from Cromwell's planet. :)
Sorry, I haven't tried one. Good morning though. :)

I been kinda not wanting to try one. It wouldnt fit on my Pico Mega's but before long I gotta do something. Cant find the regular Supertanks anymore and I am getting tired of the Merlins wanting to seep every time you turn around.

Yeah, drinking does bad things to good judgment -- such as, destroying it entirely! :giggle: But yeah, it's totally mental; that's why I get so annoyed with these idjits who swear up and down and sideways that they are ADDICTED I TELL YA! to nicotine. No such animal, and if anyone actually WAS addicted to nicotine as the sole component of their smoking addiction, then patches and gum would work JUST FINE, they wouldn't need to vape at all, and certainly not fog up the whole damn house with whipped-cream clouds.

Actually I think vaping works so well because it satisfies the "automatic behavior (for stress relief)" part of the addiction really well -- hard at first, because you're switching the thing you do automatically from cigarettes to vaping, so at first, it's not automatic... but if one persists, then it becomes that, very easily. It's true that some of us need to add WTA to our vape in order to completely remove the cravings, but again, that's something other than nicotine. Reducing the WTA I added, from 10% down to none at all, was hard, with every reduction, but getting from 10mg nic down to 3mg has been like falling off a log.

When I'm having a hard time emotionally, I still sometimes add a smidge of WTA; it just lets me cope better and get back to something like balance -- but I never do it for more than one RDA's worth (2.5ml), because I don't wanna get addicted to that shit again, it was too hard to wean off. I guess it's like the one drink a non-alcoholic might have, if they've had a rough day. If I could do THAT, I would... but I've never had one drink in my life; one just leads to about a dozen more.. today... and tomorrow, who knows? I don't think they've made enough alcohol yet. :D So I stay drink-free and smoke-free and add a smidge of WTA. ;)

Happy day today :)

Had an Istick 100W TC mod go tits up on me today. Where the tank screws in jammed and it backed out but from the looks of is, its been going bad for a while.I bought this one back in May for $36. The question I am wondering is when they designed it, just who in the hell had the brain storm to put a screw that secured the top cap onto the mod body under where the tank sits. If I wasnt able to get the tank off with pliers I would of had to totally destroy the mod case just to save the tank.

Usually Eleaf products hold up pretty well and in over 2 years of vaping its only the second Eleaf mod to go bad on me so their track record in my opinion isnt that bad, and I got a ton of them. Had to get out another Mega Pico to replace it which leave me 2 new ones in reserve.

My black iStick30 was one of the mod casualties I've suffered -- it started discharging itself rapidly even when turned off, so I taped the top and contributed it to Home Depot's battery recycling bin. The first iStick30 was still doing just fine, back when I sold it. The only other mod casualty I've suffered was a Kbox Mini, in a VERY low-intensity drop, inside my purse -- the coolfire IV that was right beside it was still fine, but the Kbox Mini was FUBAR completely. Those 2 casualties are why I have 2 iPV Minis, 2 Sigelei MiniBooks, and 4 original CF4s plus 2 TC-75w CF4s... and not a single eleaf or kanger.

So true, I have vaped nic free for 10 days without any withdrawal, try that with cigs and I'd be climbing the wall, has to be down to all the other chemicals in them for sure.

Patches never worked for me but vaping did....to a certain degree. It gave me the habit back of something in my hand and something to inhale and blow out. I used to vape 24mg, get the shakes and sickness because the cravings were still there, it obviously wasn't the nic I was craving but all the other shit, slowly after all the crap was out my system I dropped down and down and I'm now on 3mg but I think I could go nic free permanent. Couple of reasons I don't is because I like the slight throat hit and I have so much of the dam stuff in the freezer due to stocking up with these vape laws. It does put my mind at ease knowing there is nic in there though, vaping without it felt weird, bizarre really but we are creatures of habit I guess.

I just don't want to lose my marbles to either Alzheimers, or plain ol senile dementia. When my son was 7 months old, we came from Michigan to visit my family in GA for xmas. My maternal grandmother was already in an old folks' home because of her senile dementia, but still sometimes knew her own children; when I walked into the room, she looked at me like she knew me, but couldn't quite remember my name. When I put my son in her arms, she said "well this is Jill," (my middle name, which I was always called by my family). My aunt Betty said "no Mama, that's Jill's baby." She said "Jill's old enough to have a baby?" Betty said "Sure, THIS is Jill, right here!" My grandmother looked up at me like she just couldn't believe it. I never, ever want to be like that, to keep living far past my brain's ability to remember even my own family. Quitting smoking may give me some of that longevity -- she lived to be 95 -- but keeping nicotine may keep my marbles squarely where they belong.

Agree about nicotine.

I'm almost down to none, but want to keep using some, because I think it's good for me - have Alzheimers genes in my blood, lol

Almost weaned off of WTA - using .3 percent in my older juices and am mixing new ones with zero.

Been craving a smoke every now and then the past week (under stress) but just have a vape and it passes.

Never thought I'd have any willpower over cigarettes - what a blessing is this wonderful art of vaping

I know this doesn't have anything to do with vaping. But, I just LOVE LOVE LOVE my new counter top ice maker. It makes cubes in 6 minutes! I've never had a refrigerator that made ice. So I've spent years making it the old fashioned way. But this thing has me spoiled rotten!!!!
Edit: OMG NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! I'm getting a new set of neighbors across the street. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!! They never check their renters. I've had a long list of horrible people living there. Oh please oh please let it be some nice folks for once!!!!

Oh, and GREAT JOB!!!!!

Did you buy their full strength WTA, or just their WTA-infused ejuice?

It was easy enough to just add less; the hard part was like, every time I'd drop, after about 24 hrs at the new lower level, I'd get in A Mood. You know what I mean. Pissy. Snarly. Ready to bite anyone who spoke to me, or cry all over them. Sorta like PMS. :giggle: That would last about 5-6 days, gradually easing, till finally I'd be normal, until the next month when I'd drop another percentage point and it would start all over again.

At the end, once I was down to just 4%, I started dropping by .5 a percentage point, every 2 wks, till I got to 2%; then I dropped by .2 of a percentage point weekly, till I got to 1%, where I started dropping by .1 a percentage point weekly. When it was finally gone, I had just a mild Mood, but it eased in about a week.

Awe. I just love when you post family pics.

And my son... he was such a little cutie, and such a charmer, very outgoing! Once when he was 3 yrs old, he was having a very serious conversation with some stranger at the grocery store. The lady asked me what grade he was in! I said "He's 3 yrs old." She looked completely shocked. :giggle:

Oh, and GREAT JOB!!!!!

I diy almost all my juice and add my own with a bottle from Wholecig

so for me, I just added a minuscule amount less each time I made juice.

I tried adding half the first time I tried to cut back, but got like Andria described: FUCK THAT, lol

If you are buying it premade, I'd just also buy the same flavor without WTA (if this is possible) and mix the two.

Try diluting the WTA juice with say, 5 or 10 % of the same flavor without it. If all goes well, the next time, go down another 5 or 10 percent, whatever, even if its just 1% each time.

I decided I had to begin the weening process as fast as possible because of the FDA crap. Wasn't sure if I could continue to get supplied, especially after Wholecig stopped selling retail sizes

I decided I had to begin the weening process as fast as possible because of the FDA crap. Wasn't sure if I could continue to get supplied, especially after Wholecig stopped selling retail sizes

That was *precisely* why i started the process, back in Jan of 2015; I'd already been on it, at 10% of my juice, for 5 months; at first I tried just halving it, and that SUCKED, so I started the very slow 1 percentage pt a month process. It took me 15 months of concerted effort, none of it really easy, but I knew I had to, because WTA would just be low-hanging fruit to the FDA, since it undermines their buttbuddy BP so effectively.

I've still got a 15ml bottle of 24mg WTA in my freezer, which means I'll most likely never have to take those evil SSRIs again, no matter how depressed I may become. :)
