New to vaping am I doing this right?

Ordered these items online waiting for them to come just want to make sure i'm not doing anything wrong hazardous or plain stupid I unfortunately don't have my PHD in vaping yet.

-TOPBOX MINI STARTER KIT KANGERTECH
-Samsung 25R 18650 20A 2500 mAh
-1.5 Ohm 5 pack of coils

I figured I'll vape anywhere from 7-20w from diffrent things i read, but then i came across this spread sheet
"safe vaping power chart"

If I'm reading correctly at 10watts I would be damaging my heating coil? How would they even figure that without knowing the type of coil?

Heres another one that says ill melt the nichrome at 10watts

Your fine don't take those charts to heart. When I started vaping I was using the 1.5 ohm coils and I would start at 5 watts and move up by 1 until you find what you like. If it tastes burnt go down 1. You won't melt anything :p
The 1.5 ohms coils I was using were rated 8-20w. I would vape at 14.5 watts and have no issues at all. Also you can use this as a reference. Mind you depending on the brand it may be a bit different but gives you a good ballpark if your not sure. Also including a good reference for batteries. Also if it makes you feel safer usually they have in the description what the coil is rated at meaning the highest wattage it can handle.

Hi and Welcome! Kanger makes nice starter kits and you are good with your choices, you won't blow up(your mod has protection from that). An externally battery charger is nice so you can switch out your spent to fresh batteries easily, although you can charge through the port, you will have to wait till charged, always keep spare batteries in a plastic case, never loose in pocket.
I don't have this kit, but I use the SSOCC coils in my Kanger Nebox, I use the .5Ω at 20-25w. Always prime your coils, dot eliquid on cotton holes and inside the coil, let it sit in full tank for at least 10 minutes and work up your wattage slowly from say 5w till you like the flavor and see vapor, up to 20w.
That 1.5Ω coil is Kanthal and use in wattage or power mode, Ni200 coil is the 0.15 and should be vaped in Temp control only! Stick with the Kanthal coils for now! I do not use NI200 coils at all.
I cannot stress enough to have backups, get a couple of cheap AIO's, or eleaf iStick 30, another tank- just in case and a couple of packs of coils and eliquids! Nothing worse than reading-"my mod broke or I burnt out my only coil or my tank glass broke and I used super glue" and had to buy a pack of cigarettes.
Watch You Tube videos, there are many on your setup, sometimes easier to see how things work!

Again, you are off to a great start!

And I second the motion that you invest in a good external battery charger.

Myself, I prefer the Xtar chargers.

Where did you get your E-Liquids from?
