Hey, how goes it?YOu play guitar? what do you play?
wow from ac/dc to the pointer sisters these are the days of our musical lives..Hey, how goes it?
I do play.
Gear wise, I have a 2011 Gibson Les Paul 60's Tribute Gold Top w/ P-90's
2004 Epiphone Ace Frehely signature series Les Paul Custom / Classic w/ 3 DiMarzio Super Distortion humbbuckers
2010 Fender Squire P-bass.
Muic wise, I play pretty much everything from blues, to 50's and 60's jukebox hits to rock, classic rock, southern rock, and classic metal from AC/DC to ZZ-Top
I also like some new and classic country.
Right now, I'm playing bass in a 6pc. female fronted 70's-
Yes they are! That was back when music was made by real talented musicians. All of the new "Hip Hop" stuff today is (IMHO) nothing headache inducing noise.wow from ac/dc to the pointer sisters these are the days of our musical lives..
yes I am a musician but my roots are pure metal growing up in the 80's its hard to be a guitar player and not play that style but then we grow up over and over again and realize that the most astounding music is that which most have never heard. Or that one note can mean more than Yngwie charging full speed in harmonic minor ..Yes they are! That was back when music was made by real talented musicians. Do you play music too?
Shawn
Same here, I was born in the early 70;s and grew up in the 80's as well and you're absolutely right about being hard not to play 80's metal. That genre was / is the staple for most guitarists. There's absolutely nothing like plugging a Les Paul or a Strat into a full Marshall stack, cranking the volume and gain to full and just hitting an E!yes I am a musician but my roots are pure metal growing up in the 80's its hard to be a guitar player and not play that style but then we grow up over and over again and realize that the most astounding music is that which most have never heard. Thanks, friend, very nice to meet you. That is why I so much like foreign vaping forums. They are about communication of like-minded people, not showing off like most websites in my country are :-(Your a veteran so I don't see why not. I'm a vet so welcome aboard.
