I've been a smoker off and on for about 20 years and am looking to vaping as a way to quit for good. I'll likely continue vaping. Not really looking to get off of nicotine, just off of cigarettes.

I've done quite a bit of reading, but I have to admit that I'm really lost.

I'm sort of looking at something like the Ego Spinner battery. But, does one attach the tank directly to that or am I missing some of the needed gear? Does the batter go inside a mod? I see a lot written about replacing the coils, is this a separate part from a clearomizer? Or do you just pitch the whole clearomizer and start over?

I have to admit it's all rather intimidating. But I'm really motivated to try.

Thanks in advance.

Hi and welcome to the forum! I was in the same boat as you just 2 months ago, you have come to the right place. For now I would recommend a aio(all in one device) as it will be much easier to learn and use. Most tanks have premade coils that you just prime which is dripping juice on the cotton to get it wet as to not burn it. From there you just screw it in and vape. Personally I would recommend https://www.directvapor.com/starter...l?A=1139&chan=tubemods&data1=egoaiostarterkit it's easy to use and isn't expensive so if you don't like it and/or want to get something better you wont feel like your wasting it. That is what I started with and it helped me a lot! I smoked 2 packs a day for 12 years. I would not get the spinner battery personally. When I first tried to start vaping I got one and the charger that screws on to it broke very easily. The joy tech aio is good also there are a lot of cheap good quality vape pens on the market ATM. Check out your local vape shop and see what they have. Shouldn't have to spend more then $30 for a device and juice.

So with the AIO, all you need to replace is the coil? Or do you replace the entire tank? What if you want to change flavors of juice?

Thank you so much!!!

All you need to replace is coils maybe once every 2 weeks depending on how much you vape. Changing flavors is easy. Simply dump it out and refill or vape what you have and fill. With the aio device I linked above all you have to do is fill and vape just charge when you go to sleep.

Vaping until the tank is empty and just putting new juice in is what I did. I'm "thrifty" *coughcheapskatecough*
Any questions you have as you go along, just ask. We all did at some point. Most of us still do. :)

What I started with and progress within 2 months very easy to learn just baby steps. On the far left in order is the aio which I linked above then the cuboid mini kit then rx 2/3 with big baby beast to building my own coils with troll v2

Just a side note, if you want to change flavors, just dump the juice back into the e liquid bottle so you dont waste it.

What did you decide on mate?

I think I've settled on the Joyetech eGo. Mostly because it looked like it had an adjustable air draw. Another newbie told me that she was given the advise to purchase one like that when she was trying to quit smoking. The vape shop in town is a little inconvenient to get to. I'm going to order extra coils and juice. Anything else that you guys would recommend to start of with? Anyone have a favorite place to get juice? I'm sort of looking to get smaller bottles of a few different flavors.

I know some places sell sample packs. I diy my own so I am not exactly sure what sites have them. I think I remember one being Zamplebox?

Some places always send out samples. When I order from DIYFlavorshack, they always sent samples with your orders. They ship fast too.

Forget the Zamplebox thing. I think that is like a subscription service.

So I just go my eGO AIO and juice. I got it put together, but there's a small plastic/glass tube in the box and no instructions on what it is used for. Did you have something like that in yours?

It has 2 black o rings on the one end right?
It sure does.
The devices seems to be working without it, I guess. I'm not getting a lot of vapor, but maybe because I'm using a 50/50 mix.
By the way, thanks for the tip for vapewild! I ordered the sample pack and was able to get a bunch of different types of flavors and they send me a couple samples as well.

Looks like you've got plenty of help with the shopping.
I have some Information compiled for new and learning vapors.

It may or may not help you along the way with device selection and safety.
Best of luck, welcome to the family and congrats!!!!

Ok, it should just push right into the top where you vape from. Does it have a tip/mouthpiece on it now?

Okay, thanks!. I was thinking that it needed to screw on there somehow, but now I see that it just slides in.
