Alien gets really hot

I just got an Alien kit with the baby beast, I've been vaping it at 35w with the included coil the one that looks like a parallel coil and the top of the mod gets really hot, is this normal? Otherwise I love it looks really nice feels great in the hand

Define really hot...to me something hot can't be held very long before you have to drop it

Baby Beast is best at 55-65w. What does the temp reading on the display say?

My alien using v8-t8 coil running at 75W doesn't get hot. Mildly warm if anything.

Could it be the liquid that's the problem? Airflow okay? Mine runs about 21 degrees and I have it set at 55w. Have you changed any of the other settings?

my airflow is wide open and the only settings i've changed is wattage.

If you got it locally, I'd take it in and ask them about it. Maybe the juice is too thick or something.

is it the tank itself or the mod?
I'm vaping my baby beats right now at 60 watts with the T8 coil and it's cool to the touch

The more often you hit it, the hotter it will get! Mine with the .15 installed, after chain vaping gets very hot.

The juice sounds like it might be crappy. I've never had a juice you had to cook at 40-50% power lol

I have noticed that my alien does get a bit hot, pcb temp reaches 37 degrees when chain vaping the baby but am not really worried about it. Other tanks do run cooler on it, but tanks like my arctic v8 and cleito 120 also cause it to run hot, I think it is just heat transfer from the tank, but that happens and I dont see it as a big deal.
