So I have been thinking of getting another mod, I really like smok alien except for the paint chipping issues( have they fixed this issues yet ) so now now I'm looking at the AL85 has anyone bought it and any issues I should be aware of?

One of my three Aliens had bad paint, but the other two are fine. Also, another member got a GX350, and says the paint is bad on it.
So it seems they haven't addressed the issue, and it carries over to other SMOK mods.

my alien is one of the early ones with the paint issues (gunmetal), my wife got me the al85 yesterday and ive used it pretty much non stop at home. no issues with the paint yet. i was hesitant myself because of the issues with my alien but the al85 reminded me of the pico i used when i started so i had to have it. i will post again if the paint starts peeling like my full size alien has.
My Alien has no paint issues. It is wearing a bit on the bottom due to 2 months of heavy use, but no peeling/chipping.
I would buy it over the AL85, but owning both is preferable for me as the Alien is a bit big and the AL85 is tiny.

What tank you using and at what wattage?
Today I used it with OBS Engine, single coil at .60 at 27w. Used a Samsung INR 18650-25R. I started at 9 and by 4 it was down to 1/3 strength. That's vaping from 9-11, then every hour for 5 minutes between classes until 3:30. So, that's really not a lot of vaping.
However, I'm not complaining, just stating the fact. I love the size and feel of it, the OBS engine is 25mm and it's flush and well balanced on the mod. I work 10 minutes from my house, so it's not as if I'll ever get caught with a dead battery.

Off topic how do you like that OBS nano? I just recently bought the engine and debating if i shoukd get the nano
I want a couple of them. I think I'll order them soon and hope they get through. I'm getting to the point now where I want and need 6-8 tanks.
Been rocking the Nano for 3 days... different builds... so far the best is, SS316L (26gx2 wrapped 32g Clapton) 3.5mmID 6wraps @ .275Ohms TC @ 440F.
Flavour vs Engine is yet to be determined... I like it so far... but we are comparing dual vs single coil...
