Just arrived today.
Lets see how this Tank/RDTA/GBA/RVTA/PBA checks out.
(whatever the hell those are, haha)

It certainly has plenty of coil and build options.

We'll check out the gold version using the K3 SS315 coil 0.15Ω.
It is rated at 50 - 260 watts.
Are you as curious as I am?

20170309_180742.jpg

We've got the K4 RDTA, K6 RDTA, K7 RVTA, and K8 PBA.
The K3 coil and K5 GBA are included with the tank kit on the versions I chose.

20170309_180823.jpg

Regardless of what color you choose, they all come in a box showing the silver tank.

20170309_180844.jpg
20170309_180833.jpg

All the coil options currently.
That K7 certainly looks interesting.

20170309_180857.jpg
20170309_180934.jpg

Nothing out of the ordinary on the packaging, just nice and clean.

20170309_180953.jpg

The gold sure does look nice.
Very snug looking in there.

20170309_181057.jpg

Extra O-rings, hex screws, glass, and allen wrench.
That is the K3 coil we're going to start with.

20170309_181200.jpg

They had no trouble placing a bright polished coil in the box.

Damn sure looks sexy on the SnowWolf.

So I made the poor choice to start with that damned K3 SS315 coil 0.15Ω.
Wow, bad choice.
It is rated at 50 - 260 watts.
Bullshit!
@ 150 watts what bit of flavor WAS there just goes away.
All you get is a few drop of flavorless juice on your tongue.
First, the airflow on that coil is NON-existent.
I thought maybe the cotton swelled up within the coil.
Nope.
I thought maybe I just got a bad coil, it happens.
I would have excepted it if it were the case.
Pulled a second one of another box.
Same thing.
NO airflow.
Hell, I could MTL with the damn thing.
Definitely NOT what I was anticipating from a coil supposedly capable of 260 watts.
Not only is there no airflow, to get a fair hit off it you have to hit it so hard your lungs collapse then you get a vape juice by the pound.
So THAT coil is shit.
Tried it in SS mode, tried it in power mode.
That K3 coil is just shit.

Definitely wanted to check out the K5 and K8.
I think they'll be the ones that I like best.
Once I get the others tested I'll report back.

The tank it's self is actually made really well.
Solid build.
Smoooooth threading.
It came out of the box as clean as if I had done it.

That is a pre-order for the 13th.
But it is only 4 days.....unless they do like my last 5 FT pre-orders and just continue to push the date further away.

Just built out my K7 vrta deck. For testing I went with 22ss316 10 wraps at 3.5mm. These coils are very warm and base gets warm. These are only for testing. I will be building some 2x26ss316/36ss316 3 or 3.5mm coils tomorrow to put in. Running right now at 115w at 400 and the vape is veeeery nice! Smooth draw and loads of flavor! Very happy with the Kumo so far! Surprised at how easy the K7 was to build on and wick. Just too a few rounds of adjusting and tightening and then it was locked in and ready to rock!

Note, wrap yours coils: down-around the back- and up! That lines the leads up for the deck. Also, pull a bit of wick out through the bottoms of the coils and fluff it out. That will act as a safety net to catch extra juice as it comes down through the coils.

So tried my 1st build last night on the triple coil deck (the K7) it was an adventure for sure but not too bad once you get the hang of it. the included guide bars were a great idea. Not sure if i have it wicked right as i didn't ee any instruction on it but I took a shot in the dark. it's a PITA to wick

Built and wicked up the K8. Threw some premade alien staple ss316 coils in. Super easy to build on and very easy to wick.

Best way to wick is tank is mount coils, slide wick through (cut my tips at angle so not to have too much wick) put on glass, stuff wick down over holes and screw on top.

K8 wicks great! No dry hits, no leaking or flooding. So far so good. Just set it up though over lunch so we shall see how it goes.

Only thing I have so far with the Kumo, now that I have built two separate decks and vaped on them is the tank gets waaaarrrrmmmm. My K8 is only running 75w and while the vape is nice, the tank gets very warm.

Anyone else getting this?

Also, with the K8 deck. I found you need to mount the base first in a mod and then screw in the deck. When I screwed the deck in first and then mounted, I was getting weird ohm readings. When mounting base and then deck, I was getting what I should be getting. Just an FYI.

not too bad. it eats juice. flavor is really good but I've gotten vaporlock a few times and had to unscrew the drip to to make it start wicking again. I think more cotton on the bottom would help too for spitback. i got some at first cause i over saturated my cotton on the bottom.

this thing gets hot. like really hot. a few hits at 120 watts and it was almost burning to the touch.
I'll have to try that assembly as well just to see. mine is working fine though just putting the deck in 1st on the K7

I didn't have the same mounting issue with the K7 like I did with the K8. I keep getting vaporlock with the K8 with the juice levels getting low. My wick is sitting on top of the holes and not through the holes. I think pulling some through the holes will fix that. Waiting to hear back from @Paratech to see how his is wicking since he pulled through the holes on the K8.

How is yours wicking? I didn't shove my wick through the holes. I have mine laying on top of the holes.

On the K8 I did put the wicking through the holes but I can't give you real input on if that is good or not because.......
Where the brass meets the silver, mine snapped.

20170309_234152.jpg

I have not disassembled it yet to see if it is repairable or done.
I was able to take a few hits and the resistance holds firm at 0.1Ω but between not wanting to use a broken deck and the vapor locks, I just couldn't get a good feel for it.
When I return from my trip I'm going to get with Infinite1 to see if he'll contact them to see how they want to handle an exchange.
They may only want to work through him.
So far only worked with the K3 and K8.
Currently not happy about either.
I can say the few hits of the K8 where I actually got a decent hit, they were pretty damn nice.
Very thick of vapor and extremely flavorful.

I am liking the tank, very nice and love the options! Really nice full vape. Dense and full of flavor. Smooth airflow, and love the variety of decks available. I still have the K5 and K6 to build. Might do the K6 next as I love postless decks. Hoping it performs!

Caveats... vapor locks, tank gets hot, and... the metal on matchbox cars feels stronger than the metal the decks are made from.

I am still waiting to see my full take on this system as I keep going through some trial and error.

Winner! Winner! Chicken Dinner!
Found the one.
The K5 deck is indeed the choice deck.
While I really thought I'd like the K8 better, it turned out to be not so.
Then again since it broke on me I guess I shouldn't say it isn't equal or better then the K5 since I am unable to do a fair assessment of it.
But this K5 is turning out to be a sweet deck.
Requires a bit more cotton then I thought it would.
I have enough cotton coming THROUGH the bottom that I thought it was going to choke it out, turns out that is how much it wants.
Any less and it'd be a certain wet vape.
More wet than I'd want, to the leaking stage I am sure.
I'm liking this K5.

Are those some of the Hawk coils? Are they in the U.S.?

I ask because I've only seen Chinese coil makers calling those coils aliens. True aliens should have the wave, and multiple cores.

I bought some of those MKWS kanthol coils expecting aliens, too. About all I can say about them is, they vape. LOL

While I liked the K5 best, all of them are on the shelf.
Great concept but many better options out there.
LMAO very true. doing a lot of these reviews lately really make me miss using my exo rta, aromamizer plus, aromamizer supreme, and boreas lol
at least i'm doing a lot of good tanks though. the eco 12, tfv12, and maxo v12 are all pretty dam good
