Real Flavors flavorings?

I have really enjoyed all 27 of the SC single flavors I have tested so far. They have all been tested between 0.8 and 2.5%. For me I think 2.5 - 3.5% total flavoring is best. The cookies n cream at 2.5% was outstanding but if/when I mix a big batch it will probably get bumped to 3.5% for some extra flavor.

I have tried 2 actual recipes so far just based on my single flavor tests:

Indian Bread v1.01 (RFSC)
1.50% Fried Dough (Real Flavors)
1.00% Baked Bread (Real Flavors)
1.00% Brown Sugar (Real Flavors)

It wasn't quite what I had in mind but it is a tasty bakery flavor. I will probably try it again and swap the dough/bread percents around a bit, and lower the brown sugar and add in some tpa/cap cinnamon danish until I order some RF SC Cinnamon Roll or Cinnamon Toast.

Vanilla Cheesecake Custard v1 (RFSC)
1.50% Vanilla Custard (Real Flavors)
1.00% Cheesecake (Real Flavors)
1.00% Graham Cracker (Real Flavors)

- initial smell = 2 much cheesecake, try lowering cheesecake and increasing vanilla custard by 0.25 or 0.5
- Day 1, think I may want to reduce cheesecake 0.25 and increase graham cracker by same percent
- A week later the cheesecake smell is still a bit strong but the flavors are mingling much better now when vaped. It's a keeper but will still try it with a bit lower cheesecake and higher custard percents.

I have a bunch of other known tfa/cap/fw recipes I am working on converting to all RF SC flavors for testing after I combine my current testers together to free up more of my 30ml tester bottles.

These two 20ml testers were both down to between 5 and 10ml and I decided to mix the remnants together to free up a testing bottle, and the resulting mix is quite tasty:

IBVC Custard V1.00 (RFSC)
0.75% Fried Dough (Real Flavors)
0.75% Vanilla Custard (Real Flavors)
0.50% Baked Bread (Real Flavors)
0.50% Brown Sugar (Real Flavors)
0.50% Cheesecake (Real Flavors)
0.50% Graham Cracker (Real Flavors)

The French Toast 2 smells a lot different than the original version I already have. Really it doesn't smell good and I am going to contact Real Flavors to see if I might have gotten a bad batch.
I now see what you are saying. The cinnamon roll 2 and bread pudding 2 also have that odd scent, but not nearly as strong as the FT 2. It reminds me somewhat of the off note I get from the baklava. So far I have only smelled the betas, just mixed them up yesterday. Trying to wait a week before I vape on them but we all know that probably won't happen.

The Bread Pudding to me also just smells like a loaf of baked bread. If I try really hard I get a hint of cinnamon. Not pleasant. Ken said the same, that the smell turned hum off. But he also said although it's much different, he's liking it so far. So I mixed and will give it a go. How long are you all letting them steep?

I mixed all 7 at 2.5% since I feel they are all meant to mostly be single flavor recipes, which I normally mix at 3.5% for the older v1's of things like french toast, pumpkin pie, etc. The smell on that French Toast though, and a couple of the others, makes me think they may actually do better as a low percentage component of a recipe with some other flavors like some fruits. I set my calculators steeping alert for 30 days but will be testing them once or twice every week to see how they change during that time. The last 8 RF testers I did were mixed in late Dec and early Jan so I was testing them all up to about 2 months of steeping. I only just now decided to mix all 8 of them together in a 120ml bottle to create a franken-tester batch, since I have 7 new testers to play with, and tossed that bottle in my steeping cabinet to be vaped months from now so I could wash out those tester bottles.

I have so much juice in my steeping cabinet it is a bit ridiculous. I went over board late last year mixing 120 and 220ml batches, and was doing so much testing that I also ended up with 4 or 5 120ml franken-tester batches to vape on. I should pull all my big bottles out of the cabinet for a picture so everyone can laugh at me. I literally shouldn't be mixing any more big batches for at least 2 or 3 more months, maybe longer, as I think I have enough steeping to vape for the next 5 or 6 months already.

I have not mixed FT 2 or BP 2 because of that smell. The FT 2 actually is the worst, smells like burnt rubber. The BP 2 is not as bad at all but smells so much different than the OG.

I did email real flavors to see if I got a bad batch but did not hear back. Now that I have read what others got I guess it is what it is. Going to wait awhile to hear what others think before trying. Need to check into elr as well.

I just ordered:
Cinnamon Roll
Cinnamon Toast
and threw a beta in called Sugar Cub
Always wanted to try the SC but always forgot. I have tried two flavors once upon a time in VG. They were weak flavors and don't remember if I liked them or not.

Yumberry is delicious, similar to a boysenberry, but a bit different. Baked Bread I have heard is super concentrated. Some people have been making a 10% dilution of it. Marshmallow is pretty good too. Haven't tried the others.

Anyone try the Peanut Butter super concentrate? I've been looking for a good pb.
Also picked up Blue Razz, Bav Cream, Cinnamon Toast, Brown Sugar, and Caramel to try with those coupon codes.
More of the newer companies need to do things like this. Brilliant Marketing really.

I am not the biggest PB fan but the SC is pretty good. I tried it in a mix at 0.50% and it still came through nicely, not too strong but subdued like I was hoping.

I have the others you ordered except blue razz which I did order but really haven't tried them on there own. The caramel is a little too laid back for me compared to my favorite but will get some use. I love the smell of all of them, just need to find the best percentage. I do find if you are mixing 4 or 5 of the SC that less is more. I made one mix with 7 of the SC and I kept it all at 0.50% each for a total of 3.5% and it was tasty and surprising how much flavor I got but that had Banana and peanut butter as 2 of the 7 and those 2 were the top notes.

Here is a thread with tasting notes on the super concentrates: http://forum.e-liquid-recipes.com/t/real-flavors-super-concentrates-tasting-notes/92474

i picked up strawberry, rhubarb, sugar cookie, banana, cream, and pistachio

Nice!

Trying to make a strawberry rhubarb custard....lol, I know how you like the premade. The strawberry, banana and cream are really good, still need to try the sugar cookie but smells really good. Let me know how the rhubarb and pistachio are.

LMAO that was my thought, to see if i can make a similar one to the that1vape version.
I think after i get these in it's time to play around with a few mixtures

I need to order me a bottle of that1vape strawberry rhubarb to see what the hype is about. I do have INW Rhubarb and tried it in that DIYorDie recipe "the Trancinator" that was popular and thought....hmmmmm, interesting but not my cup o tea

The only DIYorDIE one i really liked was rhodonite. i haven't tried them all though. never had a rhubarb before the that1vape but it's really good. if you do order from them don't forget the apricot custard ;)

Bread Pudding and Vanilla Custard would be good choices. The VC is not an eggy custard if that is what your looking for and not as pronounced at CAP VC IMO, I do like it because of that though but I would not say the RF SC VC is the best custard out there, just a good alternative.

cheesecake, custard, and cream are always good to have on hand because they mix well with any fruit combo in my opinion.

Thanks, I'll give them a whirl. My ADV is a mix of NF Vanilla and a little Tobacco Blend, so a non-eggy vanilla custard is in my wheelhouse

Rats, I just saw the high Acetyl Propionyl rating on the Vanilla Custard, asked if they could substitute the Cream SC instead. (not their error, they do include the right flags)

yes, a few of their flavors have AP warnings but I don't care as much about them with RF as I did with TPA, etc since you use so much less total flavoring in a recipe.

I look at them because their flags state that they are based on using recommended % - a warning on an SC is apparently based on the idea that it's used at much lower % than the non-SC version ("Testing done at recommended usage levels.")

I'll stay with the ones that are all green or yellow with a green stripe (where the chemical is present, but at lower levels).

It's all personal choice, just what I'll follow :D

I just want to know who is going to be the first to try the fried chicken;)
That would be me....sigh. was trying to make a chicken and waffles but used too much chicken, it is going down the drain....epic fail. It does have 11 herbs and spices though, definitely interesting but with the percentage I used it tasted more like chicken soup....blah

received one order today, shipping was surprisingly quick!
I got one order yesterday (toasted blend and brownie) and got testers mixed up for those. One other package should be here tomorrow and the third doesn't have an ETA yet but Walt had issues with some USPS scanning I know and USPS ETA/tracking has been really sketchy lately on anything I have ordered from anywhere.

I heard that one shipment the USPS pick up driver lost the scan sheet and refused to scan each package individually, yours might have been in that group. I am getting my freebies today, I hope you get yours too.
I ordered a sugar cub beta flavor I'm dying to try. Thanks for the info!

Just a note on the Cheesecake in case anyone has ordered it.

I made a 50ml mix with only 3 drops of Cheesecake and for the first 2 days all I could taste and smell was damn Cheesecake. I just tried it again yesterday after a 7 day steep and now the cheesecake has settled down into the background like I intended. That flavor is the strongest I have encountered so far with the RF SC line, might have to dilute it to make it more usable.

One of mine says the same while the other has moved along. I already received one of the 3 on Monday.

It is super strong but it does mellow more as it steeps. Since testing it as a single flavor and in a couple recipes I have made a number of other recipes (20+) in my calculator that use it and the average percentage in those recipes for cheesecake is 0.71%. I have seen others suggest 0.25 - 0.50 percent.

I'm really late to the game here, so apologies for barging in. I got in on that deal, too, was too good to pass up. Haven't had a chance to mix testers, just yet.

Cream
Cream Cheese
Shortbread Cookie
Oatmeal Cookie
Milk
Condensed Milk

Some smell amazing, some smell chemical, and a couple of them reminded me of butter pecan. Looking forward to learning more about them. :)

It is an interesting one. Testing it at 0.5%. It won't be a single flavor vape for me but I think it will add a nice note to my bourbon and/or custard recipes.

It is super thick (it is VG, so much thicker than other SC flavors) and apparently once it gets cold it gets even thicker. nearly impossible to draw into a cheap plastic pipette. If I had known that I would have waited until warmer weather to order it.

Just mixed up Sweet Cream and Pink Candy Burst Type, the latter being a pink Starburst I guess.......yum. Both are the super concentrate @1.5% each with 0.50% One on One Sweetener. Really tasty as a shake n vape in my dripper, more tame in my Petri RTA but still good. Going to wait and see how it steeps, maybe up it to 2% Pink candy for tanks.

I heard the Baked Bread is strong but after taking a smell......WOW, there right. Might have to dillute that flavor to make it useful but it does smell like baked bread for sure.

The new bottles are PET as well but there won't be any dropper caps going on these, need a vice to squeeze them. Luckily I already have some small dropper bottles from fasttech I will transfer these into. Wish they would go back to the older PET bottles which were squeezable.

It probably doesn't need the sweetener. I just added it because I copied another recipe and forgot to take out the sweetener. .....chalk it up to me being lazy...haha
