My dogs have been seeing this vet for years, very hard when you live in a small town and not many options. Reading online while rare some dogs do develop complications from their shots like Pearl is having usually with young puppies and older dogs. Brain swelling due to the shots, like an allergic reaction except this reaction doesn't go away. Some dogs do recover, but not fully. Really not the Vets fault or the serums fault, just some dogs can't handle these shots. Pearl has had all her shots for years, and this is the first time anything has happened, my husband is so upset, we have to give our animals these shots, required here for registration and now we have no choice but to put her down.
There are no words :(

Thanks everyone for your understanding! I love this dog and it is not fair of me to make her suffer. To put her through more pain and torture and then still have to put her down, I can't do that. Even if they find out what the cause is there is no guarantee of a good outcome.
My life is always like this- when it rains it pours! I chalk it up that bad things happen to good people, I am a great example of that! I try to stay positive and I will get through this. I couldn't wait to be an adult when I was a teen, but now that I am an adult, I wish I was a carefree teen again!

Is there any chance it's neurological? I'm so very sorry, @snapdragon. I watched Bosco go through similar, recently. He was determined to have a brain tumor.

My deepest condolences to all of you.

Typos brought to you by: crapatalk!
I am so sorry for your loss- the vet is stumped, after blood tests and xrays. I believe it was the rabies and Parvo shots, even though the vet doesn't believe that is the cause and she is suffering from a bad reaction. Pearl also had some cysts on her back by her tail examined and they studied the fluid, and they are non cancerous.
Tomorrow will be rough!
:(

I hope everyone had a better St. Patricks Day then I had. Pearl is in a better place now, and not suffering any more. Hubby was home when I got home, hard day for both of us. I slept most of the day since I have had trouble sleeping the last few nights.
Hubby went to a local tavern and bought himself Irish corned beef and cabbage, and got me a fish fry- I don't like corned beef! I am OK and now have to get used to the new normal at my house- going from 3 dogs for over 10 years to now one dog is going to be an adjustment.
I am looking forward to better days ahead, sure can't be much worse than the last few months- I hope!

Thank You for the wonderful poem it is so thoughtful of you and I truly appreciate all of the people here and their kind words to me!
I hate that I have been having to post all this sadness the last few months, but nice to know that you all really care, it helps more than you know!
On a positive note- through all the bad that I have been going through, that not once did I think of turning to my old "friends" my cigarettes! I am grateful to vaping and the vaping forum to keep those " comforting friends" that would have had me back in their grips so fast! I really think that they are out of my life for good! Since I did not turn to them for any help to cope, just vaped my heart out with my new Minikins and love that TMaxx Strawberry doughnut and The SauceLA Caramel Waffle Cap.

Hey everybody- Looks like better weather ahead, hopefully it melts all this snow ASAP! Back to darkness this morning- I wish that they would do away with this Daylight Savings Time crap, by the time I get used to the time change- they switch it back again!

Don't know where you reside Countrypami, but 60-70 degrees is shorts and t-shirt weather.

Hope everyone is doing alright.
I'm in Ohio... where the temp changes every 5 mins! I wear shorts at 60-70 also... but when it's that between season rainy chilly 60... that's sweater weather ;)

Congrats DaleH1985 and philbh, what are you two thinking for your 120ml purchase? Anything out of the ordinary rotation? Take a chance on a new flavor?

@Countrypami Midwest resident as well, so I know the feeling of having all 4 seasons in a single week. People on the coast will never understand the crap we go through with weather, best way to know what's going on outside, stick your head out the door.

@ Vapers on east coast (not a username, just the people on the east coast) I hope everyone made it through that snowstorm alright.
