Noisy cricket 2 regulated voltage

Hey guys. I recente bought a noisy cricket v2. Its powered by 2 vtc5a's

Now i got the following question.

When i put my RT25 tank on top of the device and run it in regulated voltage series mode and put the dial on 0. I am expecting the device to put out 2 volt. The coil is 0.15 ohm. So according to ohm's law that should be 26.67 watt with an oytput of 13A. Now i am running into the following problem. When i put the tank on a regulated box mod and put the wattage to 26.67 i am getting no vapor. Even though the box mod is telling me its running at 2 volts and 13A. Wich should be the exact same as in the noisy cricket. So for some reason the noisy cricket is not running at 2 volts when i put the dial al the way to 0. Or I got my ohms law wrong?

Any help would be appriciated!

Just did that experiment with my NC2 and a .15 coil. With the nc at 0 the vape is similar to my dna 250 set at 55wt. That would mean the minimum voltage of my nc2 with this coil is somethong like 2.87. This is just an estimate and i dont know if that helps. Personally i dont worry about it to much i run the nc2 in series mode and dial in for flavor. If i want a much cooler vape i go with a higher resistance coil and dial it in from there

The coil is 0.15 ohm

I am expecting the device to put out 2 volt
According to the website specs, "By rotating the voltage regulating switch under series circuit condition, the output voltage can be adjusted from 2V to 6V"

As r055co said, 2V of electricity on a .15Ω coil will not fire it up to a usable temp. It may get warm, but that is about it.

And why are you trying to run this coil at only 2V?

Sorry r055co --- I didn't look at the simplicity of the issue at hand. I was looking at the MOD being referenced and called you for help as I didn't have one.

Rite! Cant get too hung up on numbers with these cheap devices.

That being said my experience with the nc2 has convinced me that i really want a quality potentiometer mod like the hexohm v3. I dont need all the high tech gadgetry or temp control to enjoy a good vape.

I've just joined in the world of this aweosme little chip https://www.bigalsmods.com/product-p/1007.htm
i got it in this box http://www.nymbismods.com/

there are also other regulated VV mods like the hexohm 3.0 I did a review of the clone if you weren't looking to spend alot on an authentic and it's performance is great. So is the Dovpo M VV mod and i hear good things about the ijoy zenith as well. both are very cheap (as in under 30 bucks) the dovpo has a battery meter on it as well

Also check out the HohmTech devices. The FSK chips in the Slice and Wrecker G2 are killer.

Yes! Im open to all those mentioned. The slice was definitely on the list also. Sorry about jacking the thread. Did you figure out the NC2?

yu can't fire noisy cricket II, when your resistance below 0.2 ohm (series mode) and 0.1 ohm (paralel mode)
hope this help..

sorry for my english.

I ran into the same issue and discovered that the noisy cricket doesn't go down to nearly as low voltages as Wismec claims. From what I can tell, it goes down to the mid 3s. Pretty disappointing... limits my building range.

I hear that the Dovpo M VV goes all the way down to 1 volt, but I don't think any US shipper carries it.

In regulated series it can fire below .2 ohms. Source: I'm doing exactly that right now.

Wow really? I have never tried under .2 ohms, because my build range always on .25 ohms - .2 ohms on series mode (regulated)
But I'll try it later when I get home :)

btw can you tell me your resistance on your SMOK and how many dot you use on your voltage dial???
(still can't get it how many voltage on each dot) :D

again sorry for my english :)

The ones on my V12 are 0.17-.19 so it's not a ton lower than .02, but I don't even have the potentiometer turned all the way down, so I imagine you can go even lower.

I've run as low as .15 on it and if I ever build lower I'll try to see if it works on the cricket
