How to fix your SinceMyLastCigarette banner

I don't know why, but sincemylastcigarette seems to have changed how they want to generate their quit smoking banner. Unfortunately they didn't do a very good job of implementing that change. Their site is still generating banner code - but it's not the updated banner code you need to have. Here's how to fix it:

This assumes you still have the banner code in your signature. If not you will need to get it or recreate it at their site.

Go into you Signature setting, Edt Signature here. You most likely won't see anything. On the far top right of the compose box there is an icon with a little wrench in it. Hover over that and it says "Use BB Code Editor" - click on that.

If your old code is still here you will see something like this. If you deleted it already out of frustration generate the code again and put it back in place.:

[U R L='h t t p://sincemylastcigarette.com/'][I M G]h t t p://sincemylastcigarette.com/banners/1312101000_1.42_20_USD_4.2_dark.png[/I M G][/URL]

I have bolded the parts you need to modify. You need to remove the .png at the end altogether. Change the beginning of the [I M G] code to:

U R L='h t t p://sincemylastcigarette.com/'][I M G]h t t p://sincemylastcigarette.com/index.php?do=image&filename=1312101000_1.42_20_USD_4.2_dark[I M G][/URL]

In order to get this example to display I had to MUNG things like h t t p, U R L & I M G by adding spaces. You won't see those spaces in your signature code and don't add them in.

I have always liked this quit smoking banner and hopefully they will make an easier fix than this. But in the mean time this change will get you your banner back.
