My favorite color for mods changes but lately all I admire is a beautiful built stainless steel mod that matches other beautiful stainless steel attys!

Simple right? Wrong! Why do goddamn mod designers make off colors that drives me fucking insane!! You see colors all off and shit and it kills me! And it ruins a classic. Such a classic combo gone wrong. Examples!!!

Man I love the predator too. Why can't you just match the silver on the atty that you built for it!! Dumb fuckers. And look how off it is with the Goon RDA on a second pic.

Then alien did the opposite and when super matte and a fucking silver shiny atty :(

*** Edit: actually looking closer I don't mind the alien as much. Because it contrast so much you can say it's a stylistic choice.

But the fucking Predator! It's like they actually try to match stainless steel KIT and said Tada!! We got it matching nice and close! Lets shipped it now! Mannnnn ***

Here's one of my favorite combos. Super sexy. Vapor flask lite with Kayfun 5. And it's funny because Vape Forward the company that makes the flask work with Wismec for their chip!!

My god. The streamlines. The exact color of silver makes me so happy!

My question to VU am I alone in this?!! This has been bothering me since the alien mod but the Predator was the nail in the coffin for me! I had to speak up y'all!

Nope, doesn't bother me in the least. I just don't care about the looks of my gear enough.

If it did I would probably start refinishing my stuff. If ya want it done right sometimes you have to do it yourself :)

Well I say it's more like color Hue/scheme coordination. Not Fashion statement really like "im not buying it because it's ugly!" That's a fashion statement

But more in the sense and WTF in their heads when they already design a Silver tone and go ahead make a new Tone. Why wouldn't they just match the tones of the Mod + Kit. Wouldn't it be simpler? And in my eyes better looking.

Good point if the mod and atty are made by the same company or sold together. I only ever bought a kit once, an eGo-C which was my first vape, but if I did I would expect them to match.

I'm sure one cost less to make, therefore that is what they went with, the cheaper version. Typical of a chinese manufacturer.

I mean look at the alien kit again. Matte gray. matte Fucking gray. With a silver atty so fucking Silver you can kill a Werewolf while vaping.

I admit, I like it a lot better when the finishes don't clash. It detracts from the enjoyment of a vape if I dislike the way it looks

I'd vape from a Still, if it fit in the back of the truck with a hose through a window.......

You are talking to someone who used to vape one of those size giant Kanger Aerotanks on a Provari mini :giggle:

I sort of get it, I also like a streamlined look where the atomizer is a perfect match with the device, but sometimes the material and/or brushing is not a perfect match, so in that case, I just go for 2 different materials that will compliment each other

I'm back to a matched finish since the atty and mod is made by the same company, but in all honesty, if I had a choice of material for the mod, I probably would have preferred brass

My Surric X Vault is the Timeless Edition because I think fashion is always changing too fast. Also, my Mason Advocate RDA has statements laser etched on the bottom of the deck, but I don't think these statements are linked to fashion.

I think I'd be more bothered by it concerning mech's, only because they're both the same type of material. Having two metals that match or blend nicely is easily doable. A painted mod? Not as easy to do and I guess because of the lines of an atty on a regulated mod that's larger (no body lines flowing together like a 24mm atty on a 24mm mech) it really doesn't bother me.

I'm like others though, not much for vape fashion. I'll put a black atty on a silver mod, a silver atty on a blue mod, blue orings on a silver atty with a black mod and a silver drip tip. I really don't care lmao. Then again outside of 'that's cool' factor when looking at pics of other people's stuff, I wouldn't buy a colored mod for myself most of the time. Black or silver. For atty's I prefer polished silver/stainless, bare metal, rather than cheap painted or whatever black where the black rubs/wears in places.

Get a Smoant Battlestar or Charon kit. They do matchy matchy with an RTA or RDTA. Both mods are great.

Admittedly I have not had much opinion in matching colors. As long as it performs well I'm ok with it.

I think it's the same for everyone. Personally I'm a copper and brass buff (mostly copper) and it's a turn off when only available finishes are black anodized aluminum and stainless steel.... shit will turn me away from buying most of the time... I'm talking specifically for rdas though since all mechanical tube manufacturers I'm interested in offer copper and brass, I never have any problems there.
So my dilemma is quite the opposite from yours, except maybe I'm not as passionate about it. I'll just buy some other shit and call it a day.

For Mod's I look for a solid 510 connector and a good button.Since most of this stuff is cheap Chinese Trinkets made by the lowest bidder I dont place alot of my hard earned money in it....

So how do I choose? I look for simplicity and I dont give a :poop: on color...But I do care about the gear introducing toxic chems to my vape so I dont buy anything I know is plated or coated.

Mods.....Well, when you vape single coils 1.0-1.4 ohm range at 14-19 watts the choices are phenomenal. But going back to my technical brain, I know that any device thats working at 95% of its capacity 100% of the time has a 90% chance of giving up its magic smoke and bricking....And since 99% of this vaping gear is made by the lowest bidder I choose inexpensive, simple and buy in PAIRS. )When one goes the other is unboxed and a replacement is ordered.)

I've been vaping since 2011, I've seen this market go for bridgeless 310 atomizers at OMG 10 watts too 300 watt devices with 5 penny 510 connectors. If I had kept everything I've bought, I'd have a whole storage room full of 90 dollar tube mods with bad buttons and worn out 510's, several drawers full of worn out un-fixable coils, several 55 gallon drums of clearomizers of every vintage and an EPA Superfund site in Lion batteries.

ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!

Give me simple, rebuildable and reliable and keep the shiney-itis.

Daily rig is an Eleaf I-power 80 (one of 2) topped with an Avocado 24, backup rig is a the same mod with a Boreas on top. Simple, reliable and rebuildable.

I no longer worry about the last coil in the pack going bad at 2am on a Sunday morning.

I get mad when options are available....like I mean why can't everyone just like the same thing??? I also get upset when companies see an opportunity to make money and go for it. :p

I can see the benefit of that. I can also see it falling on my foot and breaking my toes.
