New state rules to govern vape shops and electronic cigarettes

No one should be vaping where it could potentially offend other people.
Really? So the standard for regulating things is no longer based on physical harm but whether someone might be "offended"?

Oh, and that statement is from a vape shop owner who,
supports Washington state’s new regulations for the vaping industry, which specify in part where people can and can’t use vaporizers and electronic cigarettes.

“It serves to legitimize what we do in this industry,”
Bullshit. One of the problems this industry has is that it's full of push-overs.

I don't know if they are push over so much as profiteers...licensing helps keep competition out.it requires an initial layout of money to the state in order to go into bussiness..we all of us know about how when vaping started some of the most popular mods were created out of the garages and worksops of small indepedent people who were able to grow a bussiness out of nothing but skill and work...the so called "protection of the public" is an excuse to tax people so they have to pay to play.

They may think that, but I see it as making a deal with the devil, and that always ends badly.

Every mod I own is still in that category. Some of them, I built myself.

"we all of us know about how when vaping started some of the most popular mods were created out of the garages and workshops of small independent people"

As well as the airplane, car, lightbulb...I think the list is quite lengthy.

“We’ve always been for protecting the children and keeping it out of their hands, and also protecting adult access to the product, and keeping it accessible for people to have that alternative to quit,” Jarrett said.

Fuck the children. There are many more adults than kids. Scare tactics.

"We don’t want (vape shops) to become a place where people bring their devices off the street and hang out for hours."

Frank DiBiase, environmental health division director for the Tacoma-Pierce County Health Department

But it's ok for folks to hang out all day in a bar roasting their livers and brains.

Funny how if more PARENTS survived thx to vaping, the children would be well taken-care of. But no, every goddamned nanny in existence thinks they have to "save ALL the children, EVERYWHERE." And fuck the parents. Maybe more stupid people should be forcibly sterilized, then there wouldn't be all these children that need saving. And probably a whole lot less control-freak nannies trying to mind everyone's business but their own.

Small garage built mods are good. However without cheap Chinese imports vaping would be less than 1% of what it is today.

I would still be smoking.

Yes, but is it what plant's crave? :D

Most plants crave water, sunlight, carbon dioxide, and loose dirt to grow in. Anything else is optional -- and sunlight is optional too, for some of them. :D

Ditto. I've got 2 mechs, but they're strictly for vapocalypse -- if every regulated mod I have drops dead and I simply can't get more... I've got 2 mechs and 4 stockpiled Kicks.

You were right. You're totally unsuited to survive these Idiocracy years. :giggle:

Little wonder why I'm a hermit. :D

Andria

My husband and I were talking yesterday about how ours is the last generation that could survive an apocalypse. The newer ones would never survive without Google to look things up (when they're curious about something, which isn't often), could never get to the grocery store without Uber and would never consider walking, couldn't get things from Amazon, etc. :giggle:
