Can you tell me about Wismec Elabo?

I'm talking about the tank on the new Predator kits. How's the tank working out for you guys? Is it similar to the Smok baby beast or is it bigger? Does the Elabo have coils that are interchangeable with any other tanks? How many different style coils do they make?

I'm on the fence in ordering the kit.

I took the Elabo tank for a test today at the local shop, and it looked and performed pretty good. I tried the .25 coil at about 55-60 watts, and it tasted okay. Holds about 5 mls of juice, and the top fill system is different, but it works. (Have to lift the drip tip up to slide the top piece open). Comes with a .2 coil also. I personally would get the mod and put my own favorite tank on top, but as a kit selling for under 55 dollars, it might be worth considering. I did like the Predator though. Solid device, no doubt.

The Elabo comes with two coils, the one with no threading (just sits in base) has been good so far, the one that has the threads and screws in to the base is the same coil as the Amor+ / Reux Mini / Vicino tank and although it is OK it is not as good of a performer IMO. I really like the top fill design.
Hope that helps.

I heard the coils don't last so long. Might be better off with an Alien Kit. Was mod of the year 2016 and lots of coil choices. I also saw a thread on here with the Predator 510 falling apart. Also I haven't seen many places that even stock the Elabo coils to sell.

@Deucesjack has one. maybe he can chime in. he said it wasn't too bad IIRC. not sure how it compares with the big baby beast, baby beast, or clieto or other tanks in that range. looks like the range the tank claims is 40-120 so similar to the big baby beast, clieto 120, ijoy exo xl but a size down from like the TFV8 or blazer 200 or melo 300 for sure. Haven't heard many people rave about it but for an extra 10 bucks might be worth trying if you wanted to. I personally didn't bother and ordered the mod only

Glad to hear it ! Not saying it will break. Just that I was reading an interesting thread on here about the 510 connector and there were pictures also.

It compares more to the Baby Beast. It's got really good flavor and nice clouds. Definitely worth the extra 10 spot. Would have been alot better if they made a rebuildable deck for it. I would take a Smoant Battlestar or Charon kit over it though.

I received my kit last week and was disappointed with the Elabo. The installed coil smoked itself out of the gate at 35 watts. The second coil made it through 2 tanks also running at 35 watts before burning out. I ordered some new coils and have gone through 1 tank so far without an issue. In retrospect, I should have purchased the mod only and put a Baby Beast on it.

Wow, bro sorry to hear that. I didn't have that experience. I'm still on the first coil and the flavor is pretty good. I've been running coil killer juice in it too. Hopefully you just got a couple of bad ones. I agree with you though, the Baby Beast is a better tank.

I have an update on my experience with the Elabo. At this point I've run many tanks of juice through it at 60 watts. The coil finally burned after at 3 weeks of heavy usage. Maybe I just received some bad coils from the factory and that was the luck of the draw. Another poster here seemed to have trouble finding coils. Direct Vapor has them in stock.

I have had this rig since September. I havent even had to buy anymore coils for it yet. The .25 that came in the tank lasted until about 3 weeks ago. Started getting weak and one of the seals started leaking pretty bad. Im running the .20 coil that came with it now. The .20 ohm coil appears to have ceramic or something in it and it seems to have slightly better flavor than the .25ohm coil had. Both coils are rated at minimum 40 watts....so the guy running his under that wattage that could have been your problem idk. I have ran mine between 40 and 60 since I got it and zero issues as of yet. I was surprized that .25 coil lasted as long as it did. I plan to order some of those today or tomorrow. So far I really like the mod and the tank.
A quick search showed no less than half a dozen places online that carry coils for the Elabo. Also I read in another forum that there are other coils that can be used in the Elabo. I do not recall which ones as I plan to use the same type that came with mine since I havent had any issues with them.
