I just bought the tank and wanted to know what setting/mode to use the coils in? I read the coils are made of kathenol and should not be used in TC mode, don't know if that's true or not. Thanks for your help.

this^ but go about 10 watts under the lower recommened amount. so for example the T8 use at around 50 watts. 60 watts for the T6, 35 watts for the X4 and 45 for the Q2

Not technically true about going 10 watts under recommend watts, but make sure to prime the coils really well and when you first start heating up the coils start at the lowest watt and slowly work up 2 to 5 watts at a time until you get the vape you like. For example with the Q2 after you prime take a few hits (IN WATTAGE MODE ONLY, no matter what coil) at 40 watts and after 5 hits or so jump up to 45 take 5 hits and so on but the higher you get in wattage take 2 watt jumps instead on 5 watt jumps.

It's more of a preference guideline of where I feel it works best for me. Everyone will have their own sweet spot for sure so do what works for you :)

I do agree with you and that's why I didnt bash what you said. But the reason I did say what I did is because it's always good to start a fresh coil at the minimum watts and work your way up to where you like it. And with trying all the coils they have to offer all the coils are very differnt

I like a warm, not hot, just warm vape. I use the T8s when using SMOK's stock coil heads in my baby beast, and I always vape it right in the middle of the recommended range. I find this gives optimal flavor, and just the right temperature vape for my preference. I find that the flavor stays just as good as you go higher, but as I get toward the top end of the recommended range, the vape just gets a tad too warm for my liking.

Need help here. I'm fairly new to the vaping world and have a question: I just popped a new v8-T6 coil into my big baby beast tank attached to my smok g-priv mod. When I turn it on it says "New coil? Yes 0.3 ohms, No 0.16 ohms" and when I choose "Yes" the coil ohms are automatically adjusted to 0.3 ohms while the mentioned ohms written on the coil itself is 0.2 ohms. I want to know is it ok like this? If not, then how can I change back the auto adjusted 0.3 ohms to 0.2 ohms on the g-priv? Help is much appreciated!

the mods won't read the coils exactly as printed. it's normal to be a little off. plus the mods themselves add a little resistance. smok mods tend to read a little high and sig mods tend to read a little low. it's normal

So is it SAFE to let it vape at 0.3 ohms instead of the recommended 0.2 ohms?

yes as long as it's within .1 of the coil's printed rating it'll be fine. usually say with the .12 ohm coils i put it on my gx350 and it reads .123 i put it on my snow wolf 365 and it reads .11 there will be some small differences. as long as it's small it's ok. My g priv always read a little high but each premade coil isn't going to be exact

not really a best per se. it's more whatever suits your needs. all the smok tanks are good, just depends what wattage you find to be a good vape

I only vape in between the recommended lower and higher watts mentioned on the coil itself. v8-X4 is the only coil I have tried so far followed by this current coil v8-T6. Less flavor, more clouds I go for usually.

If the baby beast works for you then it's pretty much the best in that watt range.

Ive been using the Baby X4 since they came out and found the best setting for me for best hit and cloud is as follows
Watts-55.0
Ohms-0.172
Amps-0.238
And with this setting like is said i get great hits and great cloud and they last quit awhile took me a bit to find a setting i liked its a little bit over the recommend Ohms which is 0.15 but it works for me and they last but you may prefer a different setting id start at 45W and work your way up 5 at a tome till you find something you like hope this helps

I have the same set up and I vape in watt mode at 50 watts and I get all kinds of flavor. 4.5 volts 0.39ohms 11.59 amps and 50 watts even 60 watts you should be getting some flavor. Maybe it's just a bad coil.

Ok I am really new to the vap world and could really use some help. I just ordered and received my mod. Its the smok t priv it comes with tfv8 big baby beast coils are v8-s 0.2 ohm dualcoil and V8-D 0.15 quadruple coil head.
