'Check Battery' Error Message

Hey. I have a pico dual 200W. My atomiser leaked liquid and some reached the bottom hatch of the mod where the batteries are located. Some liquid got through into the battery hatch but it was very minimal. It was working fine after the leakage. Today it keeps giving me the error message: Check battery. I've tried clean out the hatch, clean the batteries and the pins but nothing seems to be working. The batteries are connected correctly

When you say Juice. Leaked , I am looking at mine, did the juice come from the tank and go down the pin ? My Battery compartment seems to be separated from the Electronics/Board.

Maybe if you can go to their web site and. See the questions and answers and I will read my little book and see if it has a reset feature , my little book comes with a. Big magnifying glass. Who knows They may or may not have an update. Lets hope. Others with more experience with this mod will have Ideas or answer. .

Hey!

The battery compartment indeed has no connection to the electronics board. I'm talking about the brass pins that press on the batteries when you close the hatch.

Not sure about that mod, but most of the ISick mods that have a micro-USB connector will do a reset if you plug the charger in with the mod turned on.

Ok, I looked over the manual and it doesn't say anything about resetting, it does, however, state that the check battery warning means the batteries are installed wrong ( reverse polarity) . I know it might be a stupid question but have you tried reversing the way you have them installed just in case you installed them the wrong way? Swapping them around shouldn't hurt it as it has reverse polarity protection.

Yeah they are placed correctly.

Not yet. I'll try borrow some from a friend or try charge the batteries externally. But it's weird how all of a sudden it stopped working.
Charging them with an external charger is a good idea. I always recommend charging that way even if a mod is capable of internal battery charging.

It's a different design battery door but have you tried pressing up on the battery door and see if it turns on while your holding it? Some of my Eleaf mods have crap battery doors and will lose contact. I modified them to get them to work right. This is the first problem with that that mod I've seen here.

Usually if a mod won't turn on unless it's plugged in means bad battery contact or something in the mod blew and won't let it make contact. Also if the batteries are drained bellow the modes safety range it won't turn on but it should show the splash screen then turn off unless there way way low.

When you plug it in does it show it's charging?

Just seen this follow-up I will take my batteries out and look at the pin that is in between the the the battery contacts.

Here are some pictures that might help. Figure this out. That little post must make contact. And If I put the batteries in wrong you have no power and the screen stays off. Guys and Gals when you close the door it is tight tight, if my door is not closed right it says check battery. I also refuse to charge batteries while they are in the Mod .

Hey guys. Thank you all for your replies! I visited the vape store and it turns out that one of the batteries wasn't working whilst the other was. This seemed to be due to the liquid leakage that I explained above. He replaced the battery free of charge and it works perfectly now. I still have one issue though, every time I remove the battery from its compartment, there is still a little liquid on it that it has received from the compartment. I've tried put tissue paper all the way down the compartment to remove the liquid but it still seems to remain in the battery compartment. Any ideas of how to completely clean out this liquid from the battery compartment so that I don't ruin these new batteries?
