Safe Pen-style Device?

Hi, I am not a new vaper, I have been vaping a year ago January. I also make my own juice. But I feel like a newb when I get on the forums. lol Some of this stuff is just way above my head. Anyway, my first device was an iTazte CLK 1280. I later got two Evod 2 batteries, whose size and weight I prefer over the larger 1280. Apparently, at least the Evod 2's are unregulated? Not sure about the other because it does have a twist thing to regulate the voltage, I think. Not sure what its regulating actually. Start talking to me about electricity and I'm going to glaze over. lol How safe are these batteries, number 1 question, and number 2 is, what is the safest inexpensive simple pen style device out there? Thanks in advance.

Oh, I also have a habit of dropping them on the hard floor all the time. I put it on my lap when I'm at the computer and forget it's there when I stand up. So a battery that is also durable is preferred.

Probably also important to add that I tend to take long drags, to the point where the itazte shuts off at times.

First off, welcome to VU

I haven't used pens in a long time, but have been researching them some to help some friends and family

If you are liking the EVOD, it is considered pretty safe and if it's working for you, I wouldn't worry too much

If you are trying to save money by getting a similar device at less cost, we'll have to wait for someone who knows more about them to chime in

I use the Kangertech Ipow 2 with Nautilus Mini Tanks. The Ipow goes up to 15 watts and is adjustable. Charge can last all day, but only fires coils 1.0 ohm and up. Designed for mtl style vaping. Find them on Ebay or try vapecrawler for around $20.00.

Jule is ok and tiny. My Von Erl is good neither has glass and replaceable pods. SMOK vape pen 22 is awesome I've been using one it has a glass tank though and is bigger than the other two I mentioned.

Firstly here's a neat video comparison below.

Secondly and you should take this as a warning.
I'd generally say that most vape pens suck. Not enough power the tanks are too small and you are usually stuck with prepackaged crappy tasting e-liquid.
There are a few decent 1's available but even those don't really supply enough power to properly vaporize the e-liquid.Which is why most of these things use 50 mg strength nicotine.Which is completely unsafe in my opinion. If you were to spill that on yourself you would be very sick almost instantly and in a worse case scenario looking at a hospital trip if it leaked into your mouth.

Your best bet would be to get a smaller mod and tank.

My top choice would be a SMOKTech G80 Starter Kit.

Second Choice is a Innokin SmartBox Starter Kit.

What about the smok stick v8? I've been using mine for couple of months now more than enough vapor 3000mah battery last me all day and I don't think it can get much more simple than pushing the button to fire five clicks on/off

Also guess I should add that it has 8 sec shut off protection, resistance protection, short circut protection and low voltage protection.

I wouldn't consider that a vape pen.
I would consider that a tube-mod.

This is thread is kinda dated but I would second the Von Erl, have bought a few for others and broke down and got one for myself.

The vape pen 22, V8 baby beast and V8 vape pens are kind of like a tube or mech mod but they work great are convenient and the vape pen 22 is really pocket or pocketbook friendly. A lot easier to use also. Something to be said for simplicity and less is more. I really like them. But to each his own and whatever works for you is the most important thing !

I love my V8 and I think I'll get another.

I started with the Kanger EVOD VV and the Aspire Premium CF VV and like them both a lot too.
