Dual Parallel Coil builds?

Hey had a quick question can anyone tell me why some people say not to use ss, ni, or ti on a parallel coil build? Wondering if that info is accurate.

Because they have very low resistance. A dual parallel coil has half the resistance of a single. It's just really hard to manage safely.

Ti and Ni200 should only be used in temp control and you don't want to parallel those.

I use SS316L fused Clapton coils, which are parallel, in most of my builds including on mechs. I just vary the size of the core wires to hit the resistance I'm aiming for. For instance, a single coil fused Clapton using 26 gauge cores 7 wraps at 3mm ID comes in at 0.3 ohms. That is my go to coil in a Hadaly on a mech squonker. http://www.steam-engine.org/ is your friend.

Never had a problem running dual Ti coils in my OBS Engines (TC on DNA mods). As for Ni200… It's 2017, so it shouldn't be used at all :giggle:

PS: I mostly run SS in my builds.

The only thing I can think of is TC performance which is better especially on older devices with single wire builds. Then there the whole going too low on the build issues. Newer devices and TC dont have as much issues with multi wire builds as in the past.. SO when reading warnings in forums take the date of writing into account... Most Vape warnings and dangers we read about dont even apply to todays regulated technology. Since most of the danger warnings we throw at ALL vaping only apply to MECHANICAL vaping. LIKE OHM Rate.. OHM rate is important in a mech, for safety, not so on regulated. A regulated mod wont fire at unsafe ohm rates. In a regulated mod all ohm determines is max and min wattage output for a build and the volts to be supplied by the board to the coil.

I have always strictly built ss316l

some things to note:

Its a very stiff wire, so the coils you build will better hold their shape. Meaning less delicate when you wana seat and wick them. I run them in parallel fine, lower resistance means more wraps and bigger clouds. You can twist two 26ga wires with a drill (theres youtube vids) and get some crazy flavour and clouds.

From what i know, before you fire your mod will tell you the resistance. For safety i dont fire anything less than .2 ohms.

use a good brand mod, and good batteries. I suggest a smoant battlestar as it vents heat really well and sony vtc6 batteries. Over 80 degrees celcius. The batteries cut out so its pretty safe. Great mod/batteries.

if theres any help i can offer please ask

Twisted 26 is my go to coil lol. It's my sweat treat spot. I like twisted 26 better than any Clapton's for vapor production. I'm going to try twisted Claptons. Wonder how that win fair

I love twisted 26 and 24, they trump clapton, alien, tiger, whatever. Easy as possible with a drill and a friend. And the best part is how long they last.

Finally someone who agrees

Yea Claptons are alright but the ramp up time versus a twisted builds of the same caliber is the difference in what makes them more accustomed to my style of vaping. Hotter faster denser

Flat twisted is fucking great, I just put these hives on and fuck. I'm now trying to build higher ohm thinner wire.

Ramp up times is what makes or breaks the vape.

I don't even use a drill to make my twisted I like when it's twisted but not too twisted like it's one piece of wire. Some reason I think that the deeper grooved looser wire gives more surface space.
