Apparently I'm heading to Indy to visit shops. No real clue, husband brought his brother over to watch the kids and asked me to get in the car.

Tomorrow is my birthday and he works, so I didn't ask to many questions about what was up assuming it was to do with that. I have been informed Indy and vape gear related. From experience with previous excursions he'll end up with a new toy and I'll end up adding to my 'check for sales online' list xD

Happy birthday! You share your b-day with my mom, who we sadly lost back in Oct. We went and put a dozen red roses on her grave yesterday.

As for me and the thread's topic... today I mixed up a slight variation of that "red, white and blueberry" that @Mykreign posted. Haven't tried it yet, just procrastinating cleaning up and re-wicking my other Achilles. :giggle: (which will be the other vapey thing I do today, when I get a round tuit. ;))

Thanks hun!

Sorry to hear about your mom, and hope you're doing okay with it being so close to an important date without her.

Ehh, fair to middling I guess. My own birthday, May 22, was a lot harder, because she always made a big deal of it, and also my son's, May 19. My aunt and my stepfather gave me a little money, but the lack of a present to open.... just reinforced how very much I've lost, losing her. I guess it will get easier, as time goes by, but there's nothing much to do except live, and keep her in my memories.

But she loved red roses almost as much as I do, so I wanted to mark her day some way.

And now I know someone else with that birthday, so it won't always be a sad day for me. :)

Happy Birthday!!

Thanks yall. I'm officially old enough to start lieing about my age again :p

Vape related... Uhh... Put batteries back in! About to start searching for more batteries to purchase, and probably another charger. Husband and I both have three batt mods that get used daily so this sharing a four bay thing isn't quite cutting it

Got myself a new tank, the Limitless XL, & then came home to find a nice surprise... my order from Bull City was waiting for me! WOOHOO! Now if the flavors are as good as delivery was fast, I will be a VERY happy vaper!

I've been doing what I do best: procrastinate. :giggle: Made some of that red white and blueberry on Saturday, and STILL haven't gotten an atty cleaned up and ready to try it out. But I'm soaking one of my Achilles in hot water ATM; since it had strawberry in it, it shouldn't need a full-scale wash and boil, just a bit of hot water so I can rinse it clean, dry-burn, and re-wick.

My problem isn't time but illness. Can't even attempt to suck on a mod or I'll end up hacking up a lung.

I go through similar twice a year...once in the spring and in the early fall. I feel for you. :(

Thanks. Mine's not that kind of illness. Well, it is and it isn't. I've got a fever that keeps coming back a day after it goes away. But the biggest problem is a horrible hacking cough caused by a new medication (which I have since stopped). The cough may take several weeks to go away, though, and has gotten so bad that my throat is bleeding and I've lost my voice. Fun times. Ugh. But what sucks the worst is no vaping for me. That's hard to deal with, as it's my main stress reliever.

Trying to order the batteries I mentioned needing the other day.

My husband is lucky he is at work or i would be throttling him. They're for him. He 'doesn't have time'. Cool. I'll sort this and let time make the final call, as that's what he's asking me to do without actually asking.

That means when I give an either or, then ask an amount WE DONT BACKTRACK TO PRICE COMPARE OVER TEXT. I already accounted for cost. Any of the options I'm giving are doable and a decent value. If he wants to compare by the cent, he should have just done it to start with.

But hey, he finally decided, apparently, so gonna go order batteries. Then find the stash of higher nic stuff so I dont I throttle him on principle when he gets home.

He should simply be grateful, and STFU... like all the other husbands. :giggle: Seriously, it wasn't until *I* took over handling all the money and bill-paying that we got out of the hole financially. My husband's method -- whatever falls out of his pocket -- just doesn't work.

Shouldn't have even asked him past 'how many did you want?' The man is infuriating when there's a purchasing decision to be made, especially when there are some limitations/deadlines involved (also my own fault, told him he needed to decide on going back to RYO cigs or vaping full time, cuz we can't afford the current mess of $6 a pack + vape. Obviously he decided vape, awesome, but I may murder him before the weeks up)

The horrible expense, and having to run outside every 30-40 minutes, were my primary motivations for starting to vape -- didn't give a shit if it was healthier, and still really don't, as long as a) I can sit here in my own damn house and vape all I want without stinking up the place, and b) it's not keeping us in poverty! Twice a month, when I'd sit down to pay the bills, I'd have long wistful fantasies about not having to spend $88 on cigarettes that pay period... which is what vaping gave me. Even during the first year, and into the 2nd, when I was investing in plentiful hardware, the cost was so minor compared to smoking! And now that I have a lot of hardware.... the cost is almost zero -- other than a few flavors now and then, to keep up my stocks. :) The fact that it's healthier is just a nice side effect, as far as I'm concerned!

Charged approximately 72 million batteries.

Ok, fine, it was only 15 batteries. Just seems like 72 million.

Trying to empty my tank to clean everything and rewick cuz I got some God awful combination of residual flavors in there.

And (online) window shopped. I'm indecisive, apparently.

I mixed up my next week/10 days worth of juice just now. Actually I was salvaging the last 15ml of not the current bottle, but the one just before, which had gotten too sweet, so I added 40ml to it and used no sweetener at all. I think maybe I'm reaching the end of my need for sweetener in my ejuice, a good thing, should cut down on gunk. And shows that my tastebuds' recovery is still ongoing. Apparently it takes quite a long time to recuperate from nearly 4 decades of smoking like a fucking chimney!

Found the Mad Murdock stash from my last go round with vaping. Little over a year old, iirc, look and smell fine, been in dark cool place and I have a soft spot for a couple of these flavors. So of course I have to try and see what happens

Unfortunately, 10mg/ml or higher. I'm gonna kill myself over here, but it's gonna taste good and orangey

10mg isn't so much; that's what I used for a long time, till I got my Achilles RDA -- the TH from the Achilles is so spectacular, I dropped immediately to 9mg, and that was so completely unnoticeable, I decided to keep dropping, till I got to 5mg -- stayed there for about 6 months, till all the FDA shit hit the fan last summer, and I decided that dropping to 3mg would make my nic stash last longer.

I abhor TH, and have been running 3-6mg. It's not gonna literally kill me, just a bit OH GOD atm. One of these I love as is, so will deal with, the others are hugely flavored so will end up mixing 50/50 with some vg and sticking in my pico squeeze once it's bottle is empty, I think, just to tame the TH down a bit.

But yeah, my first go round with vaping was long enough ago that I remember 36 mg liquids not being unusual, and now they're pretty much only available in the pod type things with nic salts, from what I see? Strange to watch things change.

It certainly is. When I see threads now about what to suggest for a long-term smoker to make the switch, I have no earthly idea what's even available, but I know damned well that subohm cloud chasing direct-lung ain't what they need, or want, or will even be able to tolerate. When I started, there were clearos and cartos and cartotanks (oh my!), and those were great for switchers, but now...? Who the hell knows? The industry has run off and completely left behind all the smokers who haven't yet switched but might want to, eventually.

I've built my own coils since just a few months after I started vaping, about 3 yrs now, but I still want a tight-draw MtL solid TH/low wattage vape; I'm just glad I managed to get 2 Achilles RDAs before they completely disappeared from the market.

You can't really lump all smokers together and say they want the same thing. I do understand your point but I am also a former smoker.

I quit so many times, sometimes as long as 7 years. I am one of those smokers who would smoke a cigarette in 1/3 the time as most other smokers.

When I started vaping I was only smoking when I was drinking or socially. I started with a tfv4 mini and the Smok 80 watt nano. I quickly moved on to bigger tanks and more clouds. If it weren't for the clouds and massive flavor I would still be smoking when I am drinking.

Throat hit is ok if it's mild, too much and I will give or throw that juice away. I also do not like menthol flavors.

So it's definitely not a one size fits all. I started smoking Marlboro reds when I was 12 (1980).

Eh, my husband immediately went whole hog DtL his first time actually quitting with vaping (yea, we've done this more than we should). Before that he'd toy with my vape stuff but never actually liked it/found it to replace smoking for him at all.

So yeah, some people do find that style of vaping to work for them as an actual replacement. I only recently found any appeal in it, personally. Was so damned confused how people could handle the open airflow/big clouds because I'd try to mtl on their setups. That just HURTS

I still kinda miss my cartotanks, I'd probably hate them if I magically had one in front of me though.

Weirdly, I smoke(d) (not sure which way to consider that yet lol) menthol cigarettes, but in juice I hate prominent menthol. Ok as a cooling effect, disgusting as a major player.

I started smoking at 13, in 1975... and when I started vaping in 2014, I couldn't tolerate anything over 7 watts; it took the better part of 6 months smoke-free to be able to gradually work up to 10w, but for quite some time, I still had to vape at about 6w when I first got up in the morning. After about 10-12 months, that finally went away, mainly because I'd been away from smoking long enough that I didn't need to start vaping the very minute my feet hit the floor; since I have asthma, which is always worst when first waking, I was in the habit of waiting about a half-hour before smoking; with vaping, I only need to wait about 15 minutes, and I start right in at my usual; usually 9.4w to 9.6w, depending on how fresh the wick is; I *can* vape as high as 10w, but I've found that my asthma does better if I keep it around 9.5w.

I used to like a lot more TH than I need now, which is a good thing, since I've come down from 10mg to 3mg; I still use Flash, which helps with TH at such low nic levels, but it's not quite as throat-hitting as actual nicotine.

More what I did today, in the midst of my thread spamming:

Let my brother in law try out both the setups I had in the car. He loved my Squeeze and the liquid I have in it. Kinda wish I had enough cash (or more toys) so I could have just left it with him for a while, hot pink and all.

I can only handle a slight hint of menthol on exhale. Oddly I could smoke a menthol cigarette socially but gagged any other time.

I've still got a couple, and a couple of bricks of XL standard-resistance cartos... but my juice is such a gunk monster, I had to stop using them. Planning to put them to good use when my son comes back home to live next month, and makes the switch from smoking to vaping -- the "Camel" type testers I've made for his first tries are very low in flavoring, so they should work great in the cartos, and the draw on a carto is so similar to a cigarette, it should be a fairly easy process for him. I farking LOVED cartos, till I started making this strawberry & cream that requires 2-3 dry-burn/re-wicks weekly.

Made 4 x 15 ml samples today.

I like fruit flavors, so I made:

Strawberry Lemonade
Strawberry Milkshake
Strawberries and Cream
Fruity Pebbles and Milk

They all smell good so hopefully they vape like they smell.

Checked tracking. RDAs are stateside, yay!

And ordered a thing I maybe shouldn't have cuz was NOT in the budget. But was a relatively cheap thing, at least! And...umm... Yeah. Shouldn't have, tbh, but I've been looking for a damned Wraith cuz pretty bottom feeder, and was cheap.

Now you can start arguing with the Dementor again, about how vapor is permitted indoors and stinky smoke is NOT. :giggle:
