I am so excited I had to share this, because on a whim I wanted something with a bit more power in a tank, I am not a experience pro builder so this tank has both , an RTA velocity deck (easy build deck) and can use factory coils as well!!!:bliss:

It came with 2 coils (0.15-50-260w and 0.2-50-180w) and the RTA !!!!:)
thumbnail_IMG_1881_zps8jecnuk7.jpg

I have to say, I vape between mouth to lung, and DL... with the .2 coil at 55-60W, it fits into my comfort zone, I like the 2nd drip tip adaptor to be able to pop on my own tips with less of a wide bore...This tank is a winner for me, I was set to say it was too much for what I am used to, but I gotta say this will be in my main tank rotation, and as soon as I am able, I am going to get some more of the .2 coils. Thank you Rockbottom Vapes

I'd like to hear what others that have one, think about this tank , so feel free to post your comments and photo's

Edit to add, GREAT FLAVOR TANK!!!!!!

It also has the coolness look factor and is by far the big boy of my collection:D

That gunmetal looks great whiskey!

I have been enjoying mine with the rta section, still need to try that .2 coil later this week.

I wound up lowering the coils, the pic shows them how I originally had it but it was too high and was getting spit back. With the coils lowered so that they were below the top post holes the vape is real nice.

I really like it as an out n about tank. The top airflow is slick for no leaks but on the premade it still flows from the bottom up...nice design.

You nailed it Mjag. Great out and about tank. Super dry, this thing just does not leak and da flava is there. I've had mine for a while now. I gotta try lowering my coils because I got some spitback with the RBA as well. Great suggestion. I did a review on it a few weeks back. Here's a link just in case anyone missed it.

Was looking at getting something new for the missus whiskey has this had any leaking? Looks pretty sweet and not overly massive (similar height to the original crown tank) ....By the sounds of it you both vape at similar wattages

Also what is the flavour like? See she wants something similar to the baby beast in performance just without its leaking which she's had from some of the coils

I was looking at the crown 3 as well but from what I've read it doesn't really wake up until higher wattages which I want to avoid

Not a drop, up right, on it's side, no leaks at all!!!
Flavor is amazing too, she would love this tank, King!!

Thanks I'll check it out need to see where I would get premade coils from and how much they are ....like the idea of no leaks though getting sick and tired of leaky tanks lately

Would you describe it as an airy atty? She takes smaller 1-2 second vapes Restricted DL not like me lol

Also how hot does it get?

If she doesn't like it I might give it a crack see how it holds up against the TFV8 as I still use that one myself

Also anyone who has tried the RBA obviously I like making my own coils how's that stack up? Good to see they actually include one so I don't have to buy it seperately

Thanks matey checked DJs review for his thoughts on that just wondering if other people used it as well

@mjag saw you post a pick how's the top airflow on it work? Does the air flow around the coil in any way just wondering how to wick it to get best from it if I pick one up

This is one case where I actually liked the factory coils over the RBA section. I like the factory coils at around 85 watts. Flavor is just really good. The RBA is easy to build but I get a very wet saturated vape. Some vapers like that, I don't. It seems like @mjag has had more success with the RBA than me.

@KingPin! I lowered my coils then stuffed the bottom aromamizer style wicking slots with a lot of cotton bacon. I used more wicking that normal but it has kept up and no more spitback. The RTA head was a little trickier that normal but I vaped a lot of tanks through it that I know need to clean my coils and rewick.

@Deucesjack try it out that way and let me know what you think. Only downside is on a couple fill up I had spit back in the beginning.

I popped in the .2 premade this morning before leaving the house. So far so good with that coil.

Thanks matey much appreciated :)

But how's the top airflow working on the RBA? How does it channel it

Also is it's flavour as good as the premades ?

You can dial the air flow to just about nil, so she will like the fact she can regulate lots of air or none at all

It does come from the top on the RTA. I am able to get decent flavor though, I got a couple of top airflow rta's I really like. To each his own I guess....lol.

Flavor on the .2 premade has been better than the .15 I tried when I first got the tank. Overall I am liking the .2 a lot more than the .15 premade. I am an airflow hound though so the RTA trumps them all for me, just a personal preference.

So, if you're gettin' spitback, lower the coils and stuff it with wick. Check!

Does this apply to any rebuildable, or just this tank? Thanks!
It sort of depends on the tank itself but yeah, spitback is coming from your coils so lowering it can make a big difference. The wicking holes in this RTA are big so really getting as much cotton as you can without compressing it and leaving space below your coils helps a lot. On this rta section I used more cotton that I normally would though.

Thanks. I won't go into it here but I'm being plagued by hot juice exploding through the drip tip on another atty and don't have enough experience to figure it out. If this doesn't work, I'll make my own thread.

Other thing I've found matey

over saturation of e liquid

Leaving atty sitting with juice control open or liquid soaking for long period between vapes

Not enough wattage / too much wattage

Type of coil (twisted coils spit like a bitch for instance)

Condensation build up (water droplets on a coil will spit)

Height of coil on a stubby chamber

Wicking not packed into coil correctly (spaces)

These are all thing I've found anyway

Looks awesome Whiskey
Maybe I'll be able to get my wife to try one of these instead of that damned Cubis Pro that I can't seem to pry away from her.
She doesn't seem to want to upgrade.

You can feel free to post here whatever you need to help you , I welcome all help/comments....you have some of the best in this thread to give you advice and help with it:wave:

Well, my problem is not related to the cloud blaster, but an rda so I didn't want to derail this discussion into something totally different. :)

Hi everyone. I'm brand new to this particular forum. I just stopped in to say that I got this tank the other day and so far I really like it. The only problem I had is that I bought this thing so I could have a RBA and I didn't get it to work properly. This is the first time I tried to use an RBA so I must have done something wrong.

I inserted the clapton coil it came with. My ohm reader seemed to be reading it incorrectly, but it was close (and above the limit my mod has). I put the thing on my mod and checked again and I think it was 0,159 if I remember correctly. Again this was the premade coil and similar in resistance to the drop in coils that come with the tank, so I figured that I must have done it correctly. I then proceeded to check if my outer cap was touching the coils, and it was not. The coils also weren't touching the base or anything else, so that was good. I glowed the coils at a relatively low wattage but made sure they were glowing evenly. I noted that it took a long time for them to glow a visible orange color (I assume that this was because of the fact that they were claptons, but I've never used any before).

I wicked the thing the way I saw someone do in a video, primed the wick and put a few drops on the coil too. Then I tried to vape it. I couldn't get a hit at fifty watts. at sixty to seventy I started to see some vapor. By the time I got up to 90 to 100 watts or so I finally started to get something resembling a decent hit. I took a few acceptable (but NOT great) drags and put it down for a while. Later I picked it up and started running it at 110 to 120 and it was decent, but I decided to stop and top off the tank. Then I started vaping again and it spit boiling fluid at me and it even LEAKED juice out of the airflow holes! At this point I noticed that the tank was insanely (maybe dangerously) hot. I got scared that I was pushing my battery to hard (I have and was using the Smok G150 as it is my only VW mod right now).

I decided that I would just stop trying to use the RBA until I could figure out what I did wrong. I'm not sure if I over wicked it or did it wrong or something, I have no idea. Maybe I used too much cotton without realizing it. A few folks on another forum suggested that I wrapped the coil wrong and that I was getting close to blowing myself up (by over-working the battery) but I didn't wrap this coil. If I simply inserted the premade coil I would assume that the resistance was adequate from the factory, I don't know how I could have messed that up (there is only so long of coil you can leave for the lead as you will hit the outer coil head if you aren't careful). Should I just abandon the claptons and try to wrap my own coil? All I have is 24 gauge kanthal right now and my wrapping abilities are pretty bad (I haven't tried it much as I am very new to RBAs).

Since this is a top airflow tank only I think this has to do with your wicking. For it to just come out of the top of a top airflow tank there was something seriously wrong with the way you wicked it. Pics would definitely help but it seems to me that you had excess juice getting past the cotton and it settled in the chamber. When you fired the mod the hot juice came through the drip tip. It sounds like you did not have enough cotton.

I just installed the coils it came with the other day, had my own build in it before. The coils that come with the kit are too big IMO, 3.5mm inner diameter parallel claptons is too much for this small deck. Your ohms are reading right though, mine clocks in at .16.

I have noticed with this RBA section that lowering the coils really helps with spit back and a lot of cotton as the wicking holes are big. Just make sure the cotton does not come in contact with the bottom of the coil.

I posted a pic of the coil placement that worked for me below. I positioned so that the top of the coil is just below the post hole.

I am going to remove those coils though and just use a simple 26g with a 36g outer wrap clapton pair. 3mm inner diameter so I get enough cotton for wicking.

I would suggest trying your 24g Kanthal in there instead, the included claptons are just too big for this small chamber. Use a lot of wick too, that will help out a lot.

I agree with Deucesjack that you may have wicked a bit too thin and that is what caused it as well as if you could provide pics it may help spot something.

As mjag said running the coils a bit lower can help as well.

Most importantly don't give up.

That's strange, I thought I wicked it too much actually. Since this post I went to a vape shop (the only ones are half hour drives away at least) and the clerk helped me. The way he had me wick it it worked, and I restricted the airflow and got a great vape off of it at around 70-80 watts. For some reason the restricted airflow seems to create more internal air pressure which gives me bigger clouds.

The second wicking job did eventually start to spit back after around 100 puffs or so. I took out the wicks, dry burned it for a quick second, cleaned it a little bit, and re-wicked it. I haven't tried it again yet but I'll let you know how it turns out.

I also downloaded an app that is supposed to help me figure out wraps and resistances. I'm looking to wrap something with my kanthal soon. I know this sounds dumb but I'm confused as to exactly what diameter I should use, how many wraps, etc. Luckily I got enough of a intro education at the shop yesterday to get somewhere. combined with online help I think I can do this. Thanks everyone.

Hey island when you rewick it next can you take some pictures of the process the clerk showed you and attach them here for me please? ;)...if it worked well would be good to know how you go about it, I rarely have problems wicking a dedicated RTA but the RDA bases I'm uselesss at lol

I will try to. Unfortunately shortly after posting that I noticed that my tank started spitting again. Each time I noticed it happens right after I top off the tank again. Maybe there's too much juice being pushed into it?

I have been told to avoid having cotton go down into the wicking holes, so I've avoided that. I have been told to avoid putting too much cotton in the device so I avoided that as well. Honestly I just took the RBA base off and I'm going to wait a little while before I mess with it again. I am going to spend the rest of the day with my kid.

Honestly I just took the RBA base off and I'm going to wait a little while before I mess with it again. I am going to spend the rest of the day with my kid.

It might well be a pressure thing try closing the air hole when filling it and leave a small gap at the top ...re fit the top...then try openeing air holes again

This doesn't have juice control I assume so try that mate

And fair enough have fun island ....I felt the same about the RBA deck on the TFV8 no matter what I tried just couldnt get on with it gave up in the end and stuck to the premades on it lol
