I guess you can further break this down into box and tube subcategories, but maybe we can try to keep it simple with two - regulated and mechanical.

Less than 2 months before 2015, so it's not too early to be thinking about this stuff. :)

For mechanical, I would vote for the Tarsius Customs 4 Nine mod. 18350, 18490/500 & 18650 compatible, beautiful threading, minimalist design and innovative switch design.

For regulated, it would have to be the DNA30 (or was this released end of 2013?)

Mechanical I really still like the Silver Bullet (M). Regulated the jury is still out.

I have only tried a DNA30 and Sigelei 100W, but I have to say that I love my Sigelei. For mechs, I only have 2 clones but am looking forward to the FU Manhattan.

I think the JDTech Black and Copper Stingray dropped early 2014, I picked mine up in February. I think that mod was one of the most sought after tube mods of the year. Arguably the most cloned as well. I still use mine (#962) daily and love it. Can't beat a copper mod with copper contacts.

Regulated, looking at the entire year, I would say the Sigelei ZMAX / ZAMX Mini, Hana Box and Vapor Shark were probably the most impressive devices of the year. Lot's of new and innovative stuff has hit the market lately, but I'm just not impressed with the quality.

Vaper shark DNA 30 set a standard in a couple areas

I bought a copper clone stingray due to the frenzy earlier In the year.

Super T Precise Workhorse looks like one hell of a mod especially considering the price. All SS, USA made, $70. Hopefully Santa will allow me to verify its awesomeness. ;)

Considering price, quality and after-service, I'm going with the Cloupor T6 for regulated mod of the year.

IPV3 for regulated (really brought people into the DNA style of regulated mods)
As for tube mechs.....flooded market makes it impossible to pick a subjective clear winner.
Atomisers.........Kayfun+ in terms of sheer sales

Same as franciscan on mech tubes. Too many.... I've got several but I reach for my 4nine the most.
Reg. box is easy. Sigelei 100 r o c k s.... sturdy, big power range, great battery time and great accurate users controls.
My Hana 30 is collecting dust, great box, but Sig. for the win. Looking at the Istick next for those stealthy situations.

The only tube mechs I still own are my copper 29 and my copper 4nine.
I liquidated all of my regulated boxes.

Quick show of hands...how many flip their magnet disk and go with matched polarity (gravity fire)? Or am I one of the few mad ones?

I'm a mechanical vaper, so I cannot comment on regulated mods. So, as far as mechanical of the year, I would vote for the Stingray. In my opinion, it dethroned the Nemesis in '14.

I love my stingray x(ss)beautifull piece of craftsmanship, the only reason I didn't say this one was the magnets,it wont stand up on its own without firing in 18650 mode, you have to lock it every hit you take

My thoughts exaclty. It looks like the 4nine is dominating this thread:) I have a SS and copper version. At first i really liked the copper but now i use the SS more often. There is not a real noticeable difference between the two and i like the look and feel of the SS much better.

I've only had two regulated Mods so far and the DNA mini for a couple weeks. But it is by far the most talked about chipset of the year for sure. And the mini is soooo tiny!

Dufuk? You do that with the 4nine? nooooo thank you crazy man.
Lol... I tried it when i read about it, my 4Nine already wants to kill me, dont wanna make it easier. ;) i do love the thing, though.

Im really loving my Copper Vanilla, but its my first authentic, so I damn well should. For tube mechs, as long as you research for the best quality, its kinda personal preference in what you like in a mod.

I'm looking into either an ipv3, Project Sub Ohm preferably, or the Sigelei 100W. They seem to be the best regulated boxes, and i have a birthday coming up.

As for regulated, I had a Hana clone and picked up a Sigelei 100W. Sold the Hana clone. Soooo my vote goes to the Sigelei. For my purposes, the iPV 3 is overpriced and over-powered.

As for mechs, I have a 4nine and StingrayX. My vote goes to the Stingray. Less finicky, feels safer to me, and hits beastly.
