I just got my ipv6x , my second mod after coolfire iv tc 100, wich i use everyday.
I ordered false batteries so i'm asking you what batteries i should order for ipv6x?
For 18650's I stick with the Big 3 - Samsung, LG, and Sony. Personally I use Samsung 25R's in mods I'm going to push harder and LG HG2's or Samsung 30Q's in mods I don't (most of them).
Here's a link to a very good article on 18650's:

There has been talk of a possible recall of the IPV6X and possibly 400 too.
It seems there is no reverse battery protection and even worst, when the batteries are placed backwards the device fires on it own at it's max wattage.

My ipv400 just started auto-firing & my batteries are in the correct way.....then it stopped working with the screen reading "ipv400 something 07".....I forget what it was reading, but my ipv400 just stopped working. After I took the batteries out a few times & waited a little bit, it started working again with the screen reading just "ipv" like normal. But, it keeps auto-firing every time I go to try & take a vape on it.

your mod is dead. the board has a short. it either died of natural causes (i'm assuming it's old) or it got some juice on the chip. Time for a new mod sadly. don't keep trying to use it. it's not safe

Don't get me wrong, I am all for safety however I do not feel we need to put a tag on a hair dryer telling you not to use it while in the shower or label the top of you coffee cup telling you it is hot.
NO SHIT.
Common sense needs to be applied.
With that said, if the only problem with the device is it lacks reverse polarity protect, just don't put the damn batteries in backwards.
However, there seems to be a lot of people that need a "push" decal on a door that you can clearly not see the hinges.
Who am I to judge.
I can say that if mine hadn't been cancelled by GB I would not have returned it for this fix.
That's just me though.
I know how to read battery direction indicators.
Yes, I know adding this safety feature would indeed save the common user from that accidental mis-hap.

I think I'm with the others on the safety bit. I like to think I'm an intelligent person but hey, screw ups happen. I'm sure we've all screwed up. I was a smoker for over 20yrs and there was always the odd instance, tired, distracted etc when I fucked up and lit the wrong end. Filters taste like shit, just sayin. I wouldn't want to have to worry that if I have an off day, I'm tired, etc that simply go to put the batteries in and risk a big bang or something. If that doesn't work, my next thought is what the fuck else doesn't work properly? I stick to regulated mods for a certain level of safety whether people consider them training wheels or not.

Count me in on the crowd who's sick of paying full boat retail to be some company's guinea pig because they're too lazy to do the damned work themselves. If I'm testing their shit where the fuck's my paycheck? Another reason why it really chaps my ass when people talk about a company putting in all the work to come out with something new or something better, they deserve to make the profit yadda yadda. All the hard work? Like a min wage employee on fuckin Friday more like it.

Definitely a nope on preorders for me as well. Totally get where SirRichardRear's coming from on the bit about gaming, I stopped buying new games. I'll wait and see how they shake out after they've fixed them IF they've fixed them. I miss the days when games came on cartridges and very few had crippling bugs. The last game I bought brand new was several years ago, cod ghosts. Ran a little over $60 off the shelf, beat the damn thing in a matter of a few days. I still play it but for anyone who's played it they know it's somewhat predictable, monotonous, not open world or anything of the sort. After that I bought a few older games that were a few years old, spent about $60 and got 11 games I think. Big diff.

Not trying to be cheap just tired of being the one bent over and rarely getting offered lube by companies. They often times screw their employees, usually happy to screw the customer - about time they get some of the screwin' and join in the fun. Think about it, as consumers we don't get to pay with mostly legit bills and a few counterfeits and then explain to the seller - well most of 'em are good bills, that should be enough right? Hell no. So then if every one of our dollars are good, it's not too much to demand their products be what they say they are.

Sorry for the rant but it's a sore spot. Maybe because it's becoming a bigger and bigger problem and it's not like just a one off here or there. Like well shit, I bought sunglasses for $0.50 and they fell apart, yea ok. I get it, they don't even say made in China and I got them 3 for $1 at the flea market. It's every time we turn around. As consumers we throw our money to everyone under the sun for all the things we want and need and then we're left holding the bag - the mod quit firing, the attie's taking a piss everywhere, the car has a glitch and is running the battery dead, the pc crashed and we're on the phone to the os helpline, we're eating taco shells cause the fucker at taco bell forgot to put filling in them, we'll call tech support back soon as the phone service is back working again etc. We've spent decades being 'patient' and settling for 'mediocrity' and this is one of the results of it. They always have an excuse and quite frankly I pay for shit with cash, not excuses. If that's a new acceptable currency then hey, I'm game.
