I think i give up my journey (TFV12 RBA)

Hi guys, i dont know if you guys remember me. Last time as many remember i had problems with my dual TFV12 Rba. Well, problems continued with this RBA. But i managed to find out the problem. It was a production error on the tfv12 base. How did i i know it could be the base? Because i bought 3 tfv12 rba triple coils and none of them fitted. So i ordered the new base, wicked the coil and everything worked great. Well when i say great, how long does it work great? How many weeks? 3!!! I have had so many problems with those RBA coils i just cant stand it.

So here is my problem.
The ohms on the triple coil used to stay at 0.15ohms which is correct. All suddenly after 3 weeks the ohms starts to increase, all the way up to 0.30!! Why does this happen? Now it starts to taste like shit again and makes strange sounds. So what do i do? I take the coil out and remove the wick. Then i try to tighten the screws and turn it back on. Now i get ATOMIZER shortage.. So what do i do? I change to my other freshly new triple rba. It shows 0.18 which is almost correct. Then i try to take the coil of and back on the mod. Now it shows ATOMIZER shortage again, and i didnt even do anything. Wierdest thing is that when i go back to the other old coil it doesnt show Atomizer shortage no more!

I just dont understand what the H is wrong. My coils are stopping to work. And those stupid coil screws cannot be tightened more. Also when i try to take out some screws some of them are stuck and impossible to get out..I try to clean pins, everything that is possible to clean. I make sure its tightened properly..

I do have a suspision there is something fked up about the screws. But what can i do when i cannot even untighten them and remove them?

Well guys, i have spent so many hours trying to repair my device. This is not the first time problems are happening. I have decided to give up on vaping and go back to smoking again. Atleast smoking works...... And all the money i have spent on trying to repair my device, could have gone to some working smoke.

Reasons why not to vape:
1. Expensive to repair
2. Repairs only works for a little while, then there is a new mystical problem
3. Production faulties (like my tfv12 base)
4. Problems makes you pissed off.
5. Waste of time

never had the smok whatever you are using
but on anything that was designed for premade coils that had an rba deck for me...it never fucking worked right. Those rba decks are too small imho

My opinion. use premade cartriges not teh rba deck]
you want to build coils or buy premade coils you just have to rewick
get an RTA, RDTA or a RDA and be done with it
The difference I found in using an rba deck on something taht can take premade coil catridges and using a true RTA are not and day

Um...there are a gazillion other tanks out there besides Smok tanks. The Boreas is the easiest tank on the market to coil and wick, IMO, and flavor is awesome.
But don't mind me, you're right, lung canc....I mean, smoking is easier.

MMM dunno, still have in my rotation gear lik my first Crown tanks from 2 years ago and they still work like a charm. Have I also gotten some gear that is a piece of shit? Yep, but I also have shit loads of gear that work beautifully.

Anyway

Ok guys, so i might give vaping another shot. However, im afraid that if i buy an rta i will be disappointed. I was thinking to buy the pharaoh rta with dual velocity deck style. I was thinking to build 0.15 ohm clapton S316L on it. Anyone have this rta? Because i want to know if i can build it even bigger than only 5 wrapps. I need a rta where i can build for atleast 150watts usage. That said im a cloud chaser and i need powerful stuff

If not im thinking to buy a rda. I have seen much cool there aswell

You don't need super large coils or 150 watts to cloud up a room.
But if that's what you're after, try a SteamCrave Aromamizer Plus or a Vaptio Turbo RDTA-L
You can easily fit dual 3X26/36SS 4.5mm ID 6 wrap coils in either of them.

That build ohms out around 0.08, not really a build if one wants to vape below 150W.

You could try this if you feel so inclined.

Grab a factory coil and measure from where it seats in the base to the bottom of the bridge piece at the bottom. Now do the same for the rba deck. If the rba deck is longer file it down till they're the same height. Also check for damage at the center pin ( mushroomed at either end, replace if it is).

Came out to 0.11Ω in one of my AP on an Ijoy LUX running awesome right at 100 watts.
Have same build in another AP on a Digiflavor DF200 came in at 0.10Ω, also beautiful at 100 watts.
Granted that is just my personal preference.

Have u tried the tank on another mod? When I was still new to vaping I had a herakles rta and I LOVED that fucking tank, but sometimes it would show no atomizer or atomizer short and it would always be at really inconvenient times like at work or some shit, I would have to open it up twist shit around tighten the 510 pin....all sorts of weird ass shit because I could never pin down EXACTLY what was causing the problems. One day I was in my truck and same shit was happening and all I had in there was a ridiculously large screw driver, so I tried to tighten the 510 and fucking broke the pin.....but I didn't just break the pin....on that balmy august afternoon I broke my heart, it was the end of a era. Even though I always seemed to have trouble with it, I loved that damn tank. Super easy to wick and amazing flavor. Fast forward a couple weeks and I had bought some other RTA and same shit started to happen. I was PISSED. And like a bolt of lightning a thought struck me, I flashed back to all those problems my beloved herakles gave me and how much I cussed that little bastard, and the fog cleared....EVERY damn time I had a problem with that tank it was sitting on top of the KING of shitty 510 connections My Reuleaux 2/3. All that time i spent being pissed at that RTA and it was the damn mod.

Hey guys! So i decided to just buy OCC coils for the tfv12 until there are better rtas on the market. I heard much good about the azeroth and pharaoh. I was thinking azeroth triple but some say it doesnt have good flavor.

What i like about the tfv12 is the power and flavor i get. Ill just use it a little longer then ill upgrade :)

I like to be in the 150watts range, huge clouds and such is my style. I mean i go around with an rx300 and feel like i have to use the power it can give :D

Still a little hard to choose rta or rdas. I saw this awesome rda build i think it was atleast 20 wraps dual coils :D

Try a Sense Blazer Pro.
I use that at 170 watts and the flavor is awesome.
You can also check out the Vapeston Maganus Cloud Blaster.

Yes that's the center pin and if that insulator around it becomes the least bit damaged you will get the atomizer short code on your mod.

I had it happen a couple times back in the day on kanger subtanks.
Lucky for me the grommet inside the old protank coils is the exact same one they used for the subtanks center pin.

So since the center pin is loose it doesnt matter? It is supposed to be replaceable? All i can see is sort of a stripe on it. One black small stripe

That isn't a scratch.
It is for a flat tip screwdriver so you can remove it.

That center pin shouldn't have a screw driver slot,it's a tvf12 not an RDA. It should be smooth square and flat (or slightly concave) on both end. It's just held in by the insulator and ment to float. Based on the original post I was assuming it's the rba deck we where talking about anyway. Forgive me if I miss understood.

If it is indeed a scratch then THAT can easily be the cause some of the varying resistance readings.
(was hard to see much detail until I magnified it)
Scratched metal causes raised edges that don't allow for a solid contact.
Just slight shavings to connect when at just the right angle or pressure.
Try to smooth that out and see if it helps any.
Wouldn't hurt to hang on to extra pieces instead of tossing them out.
You never know when you may need them.
Just put them in a small box or drawer for cases like this.

You guys are correct, i checked some other pictures of a new tfv12 and the pin has no scratches. I wish youtubers could give out reviews about cons instead of just positives. Well as long as they get money and products for free its ok for them :D

Im pretty sure that it is a scratch since i know i havent been very careful. Sometimes i have just taken the atomizer off and dropped it on the table, im very sure this is the cause!

As always thanks for all the help in here. And i dont have a problem with people making fun of me, i like to have 150watt mods. That is just the power i need when i use such little nicotine. :) Friends loves it to and they think its insane. Gotta love it!!!

I just love to go around and vape in the town. When i cross a road, people that drives a car towards me cannot see me! They only see my beautiful cloud, made by me!! :) I also like it because alot of vapers stop by and ask where i get such a powerful mod or where to get juice, i like to help them out just as you guys do in this forum!

Im not looking to have a 500watt mod in the end, i like to have a mod that feels satisfying to me and 150 watts is perfect :)

You know, I started vaping purely as a means to stop smoking cigarettes, but now, after almost 2 years I'm beginning to like the clouds as well. My son in law goes to the vape shop in his town for me sometimes and he comes back talking about cloud contests, and how big the clouds the guys at the shop are blowing so I have to defend my honor and show off a llittle! :)

Hi, I seem to be having the same problem with the tfv12 rba deck, it does not screw into the base. i have tried two other new rba`s but they do not fit either. It is obviously the base of the tank, but the question is where can i buy JUST the base part of the tfv12? searched online and cant seem to find anywhere. Really dont want to have to go and splash out on a new tank! Any ideas?

You cand replacement base at fasttech.com
But when you get a new one you still gotta be careful and try not to ruin the 510 pin. All it takes is for you to loose the atty 3 inches down into the table.

And yeah, i had the same problem as you. My coils just didnt fit, well rba triple. So i bought a replacement from the site "fasttech" and it fits !

Lets just listen to the orher guys for now. Rta or rda is much better :):)

Forgot to tell but you were right. The 510 pin is not adjustable. It was the 510 pin, now my mod works again. But still, i get those wrong resistance readings. Bought myself a new mod. Hammer of god and mason rda 40. Going dor the dumptank 40mm limited edition to :)

Yes definitely! Cant wait long enough for a sick mod like this! Ill go straight into a vape store once i get it, and do cloud comps with ppl! Going to be amazing. People need to see sick mods, so they can become hobbyist aswell!
