As much as I love a good fight....Im on both sides of this argument.
I love clones...much for trial runs before laying the money down for the Authentic...BUT this is only good when doesnt with 1:1 clones usually made by Kindbright/SXK/SJMY
On the Other Hand the only clone I see for the Deathtrap is a 24mm version which looks a bit off compared to the Authentic, this is where the argument ends IMO...Its not really a clone becuase its a similar but different RDA (its called the Deathwish RDA on FT) but its the Death Trap for the Authentic. On the Authentic there is more then ample room between the clamps and front airflow, on the clone its a similar concept but the clamps are almost touching each other and there isnt any front airflow.
The Clone vs Authentic argument cant really be applied here becuase its not really a clone....it would be like saying the Goon OG and Shuriken 22mm are clones.

The Clamps on the 30mm Authentic have more room between the posts then the Goon 1.5, and the tolerances are pretty tight....On the clone you can never really know how well the tolerances are...the QA will always be in question.
But thats as far as Im willing to go into the debate. Your grown ass people, take the evidence in front of you and make your own decisions on the matter.

While I'm quite positive the authentic won't have the pos/neg post touching issue I had with the clone, the RDA still seems like a gimmick to me. Built for large coil porn builds with no other distinguishable qualities. Possibly an alternative single coil RDA version of the Goon 1.5

The clone that isn't even a clone is what still seems like a gimmick to me. I gave another very clear example about the button of the XXX mech mod... people still wanting to fool themselves into thinking it's anywhere close to being representative of what the authentic is like because, well... you can't fix stupid. Maybe you can fix crazy. But stupid? Not going to happen!
Its made for Very Large Series type builds for the Hog V2/V3 mods....I wouldnt buy it unless the HOG V2/V3 are your favorite devices...Though I do wish they made a 24mm version...I could see that being useful...Imagine a Caged build in the 24mm if it had front and back airflow??

That's why I need to start making my own coils. No way my prebuilt coils are going to sit in that thing without being hella distorted. What does that thing ohm out to?

@violreta3101 The Coilart DPRO works quite well as a single coil RDA and comes with a squonk pin. But, you do have the option to use it as a dual coil should the need arise.
Been considering one. I like the build deck. I'm just worried about the air flow. I went on an RDA binge so we'll see what shakes out. I like the goon with 2 air holes. 1 is to tight and 3 is to airy. I also hate turbulent air or really loud air. So damn picky...
How the air flow on that thing?

I like to use the Goon with 2 holes open also. The DPRO is just a tad bit tighter draw than that. But not so tight that I don't like it. No turbulence, and no whistling. I've been using it exclusively since I got it yesterday, so it can't be all that bad...

Which clone is that? I like those grooves for the wires to sit in. The shenray doesn’t have them.

Recently got The Kindbright Entheon clone and it’s a bit easier to build on than the Hadaly but the flavor isn’t quite as good.
A friend gifted me a Doge V4 and it’s a beast with single coil deck. Flavor isn’t as good as the Psyclone stuff but it’s still a really good vape.
