Everytime i vape
After 5 hits the tank gets warm and than warmer and warmer and get kind hot tbh
I vape mtl my hits are about 5 seconds long
And the e juicr is 80%vg.

I use eleaf istick powwr 80 watts
Tank is aspite cleito 120
Coil is 0.17 resistance and its says 100 to 120 watts
But i get good flavour at 70 watts
Am i abusing my mod or tank in some way?
Any tips?

That's normal. You're heating the coil, which will heat everything else. If there's not a lot of time for it to cool down, everything else will get hotter.

Highlighted and marked, the Clieto 120. Very well known issue with this tank, only remedy is to vape at lower watts, less often, or replace the mouth piece with a plastic/delrin/ceramic, or other mouth piece that does not transfer heat as badly.

As @Khassy already pointed out, it is normal for it to continue to get warmer the more you vape. If the problem is that it's getting too hot for your lips, then you can try getting a new driptip, I use delrin driptips on almost all my tanks and drippers, others use glass tips. Either one is a good option that doesn't retain much heat.

If you get the best flavor at 70 watts, then vape at 70 watts. The "recommended range" on the coil is truly just a recommendation. You are not abusing your mod or coils in any way by using them below the recommended range. Using them above the range could potentially lead to issues such as shortened coil life.

Ultimately, you should adjust the settings to your liking and vape at whatever works best for you. If the tank continues to get too hot, then try letting it have time between hits to cool down.

HTH!

the only time I worry about heat, is if it comes from the batteries. like the others said, give it time to cool down. that's a good excuse to buy a new mod and tank;) maybe try out some TC

No not yet
I love my eleaf istick power and im looming to buy an aspire cleito rba as part of my coil building adventure.
The only reason i will even try TC is when i think im ok witb doing ss wire but for now kenthal it is.

You don't need tc for ss. I usually have ss in my rta's and seldom use tc. Better cleaner flavor if you like fruit vapes. Might want to do research before using Cleito rba. Hear it leaks.

The cleito rba was a vu cummunity suggestion
I wont be able to pick a rba withoit someone saying ohh there is better.

From what i heard since im usong a cleito 120 i should start from the same rba cuz im looking to start from single coil builds and i bappn to like my cleito 120

Glad you're getting advice from people who have experience using rba. Just saw some iffy reports about it. You'll love flavor from rba. Wrapping coils the easy part, wicking for me took longer.

Make your coils a bit smaller.. use a smaller mm id to increase the space between the coils and the edge of the tank. (or position them as close to the center of your tank as possible but carefully so as not to cause a short)

Nothing to worry about. You will never generate enough heat from your tank to affect your batteries. Batteries can handle up to 100C or 212F. You would burn your lips off and fingers long before that happened. To much heat can damage your IC chip though, so if the actually box starts warming up, give it a rest or use a heat sink to dissipate the heat from your tank. (like the radiator of a car..)

Heat sinks are great. They make quite a difference. Cheap too. I've had mine so long I can't remember where I ordered them from tho.

true, I meant if the heat was coming from the batteries

With a regulated mod, if the heat is coming from the batteries, there is a serious issue at work in that case. Batteries can get warm while being used, but should never get close to hot. IF they are getting hot in a regulated mod, there is a problem either with the mod or batteries. I would inspect the battery wrappers first.. and make sure you are using proper, high drain, 20 to 30 amp batteries. Those made in China, $3.00 per 12 pack wont cut it. So in other words, if your mod is good, and the batteries are heating, they have a poor internal resistance and cheap chemistry and should not be trusted. Samsung, Sony, LG is all you need to know. Sure they are a couple dollars more, but last longer and don't heat up as bad as cheaper ones.
