Voopoo drag tc questions

Hi all. I have not dabbled with tc at all. So I decided to give it a shot on this mod. I was just wondering if anyone had some settings to suggest. I seem to lack the flavor pop with tc as I did with the same mod and tank in wattage mode. However, it is nice to take s long draw without dry hits and getting hot.

Here is what I am running.
Voopoo drag mod
Ohmega alpha one tank
Single ss316l coil at .48 ohms

Tcr set to 1475
Watts are at 80w
Temp is 585

It overall vapes well, but just seeing what others are running with good results!

I really like the Voopoo for TC.
I'm using an RDA with a single SS316L, 0.22Ω, TCR 1350, temp 430F. I'm very happy with the performance in TC mode.
Discounting my DNA and SXmini mods the only other mod I have that I think does TC a bit better than the Drag is my Battlestar.
This only my opinion and others may differ. Opinions are only worth what they cost.;)

Because your just starting out with TC I will add that getting the resistance correct is critical to a good TC vape. I've found being off by 0.02Ω will make a big difference in the quality of the experience. I was playing around with a DNA and the coil is 0.25Ω so I set it to 0.27Ω it was hot and burnt the wick and at 0.23Ω it wouldn't reach temp.

If your happy with the vape your getting then you got the right settings for you.

I just started tinkering with TC on my drag as well. I've been using .25 dual coils, 1500 TCR, 570F, 75W. I'm enjoying it.

I have a 0.6x 26/36 SS316l clapton, 1440, 471 temp at 53 watts. If I turn down to say 436 temp I get a real cool vape. I think 5xx is too hot. Also, it depends on the rta you are using. They are not all created equal.

T/C mode...Never tried over 500. Usually 40w to 65w at 405 to 430 is the sweet spot.

Higher is better. I use 1440 and see big difference between 1400 and 1440. Also, you may need to set the temp higher than normal. I use 420-430 on my other tc mods but 471 on the drag. 1440 and 471 temp for me.

TCR setting ? TCR 1, TCR 2, TCR 3 that's how it is on the Battlestar. VW, NI, SS, so on.

Ok, I'm confused. On the Drag I can just go from W to TC. From there I can set the W and Temp. I can then go in the menu and set the TCR, which I put at 1440. It's working great with the temp at 440 and W at 53.

I can then go further into the menu and go to M1 through 5. What is the point of these?

Also, there is the other function where I can set the temp bar by bar. Is that a second per bar? Do you even use this feature? My understanding of TC is it ramps up to the set Temp then stops right there.

I don't use those. The bars are for setting your own curve. Brusardo talks about it and explains it pretty well. He talks about the M too. If I remember right, some of these can only be adjusted using the downloaded software. I did download it and remove Nichol. I think this is what I did.

He gives a good explanation of these and the software.

Glad it's working for you. Once you click the power button to adjust watts in tc mode, I thought it was four times, it reverts back to working mode when you press the power button again, after your done with your watts adjustment.

Ok, saw the video, got the software, updated the version and figured it all out. I really like this mod very much.
Just a note... I've found sometimes the drag doesn't vape right on its own or If I remove the tank and reapply. If I remove the tank and when I put it back on tell it new coil, that fixes it. So basically, I never say old coil, even if it is. I find it works better if I always tell it new coil, regardless if it is an old or new coil.

I haven't noticed that, but just out of habit I always hit new coil. So far, when I remove a tank then put it back on, it always gets the ohm's right.

To be honest, ive never checked the ohms but it has been right. I know today I hit old coil and had to retell it new coil to "fix" it.

I have the drag with smok cloud beast but havnt a clue am new to vaping and just use the watt mode can any one explain a good setting for me to use
