Been vaping on my Speeder for a few days. So far, have used power and TC modes for ss coils.
Trying to get used to doing TC to see if I can tell any difference.
The gold and white is really nice looking.
Love the shape of it, it's all rounded, not boxy...
Havent messed with memory or TCR yet, but it's very consistent in TC for ss and I get the same
hit every time.
Only after playing with it a few days, I can say I am more impressed with this MOD then I am the
Smok Procolor.
The fire button isnt very clicky, and i dont care much for the up and down being one plastic
button, but I can live with the way it is.
It seems to be very well made, and the menu navigation is fairly simple.
They dont give you much of a user manual.. it's just a single piece of paper folded in half... LOL
But there are plenty of Youtube video's if I get stuck trying to figure something out.
But for design and hand feel, I still like my Wismec RX3 the best.
If only it didnt have bugs, and would do like they advertise it can do (TC), I would be very happy.

So, are you happy or unhappy with this mod?
Does this mod have bugs?
Does this mod do TC?

Yes, I am very happy with this so far.. I am reserved because I have only had it a few days, and though I have looked at
all the menu items available, I havent used them all yet to know how well they work.
I have been using TC with a dual coil, 0.20 ohm ss RDA and vaping 50% to 80% VG, (all same temp) and the temp is very consistent....
Of course, it's great in power mode, but I didnt buy it for that.

The OP was referring to the bugs in the rx3 I assumed, not the speeder. The new Aspire board supposedly does a pretty darn good TC vape and this speeder is on my short list to order and try since it is the first dual batter from aspire with the new nx board.

Yes, sorry, that should have been a new paragraph.. my bad....

I was just wishing my RX3 had as good a chipset and PCB as the Aspire because I like that damn thing so much... LOL

It sure looks like a nice mod. Thanks for the clarification.
I got confused when you mixed comments about other mods into the info about this mod.
I may have to get one after seeing a few more user experiences. I'm most interested in how the TC and TCR are.

I forgot to mention a few really cool things i like on this MOD.
It has CPS (customizable power settings) and has pre-programed power curves for different metals.
You can go in and tweek the curve and save it in memory.

Also, it has built in gyro, so the screen will flip to the angle you are holding the devise.. i love this feature...

I havent played with the TCR yet. I have it in TC mode and letting the MOD adjust the watts needed to get to the temp
I put in, so I didnt specify the watts I want available at my temp. I have noticed the batteries last longer this way.

With the Aspire, I see they use TCR percentage and not an actual number.
Anyone know how to set it for SS430 which needs 0.00138?

What is it?
I’m looking to get one, but only if I can set TCR
Looked at the manual and it says the range is 0.10 to 9.99

The symble u see the the right of the TCR is a math symble.. it just means to move the decimal point over.
Daniel on youtube thought it was % also, and someone explained what it is, but i cant find it...
I dont know what it's called, but i think you just have to move the decimal point 2 places.....

Two little circles on the bottom of the slash mark means devide by 100.. i think??
So it's a division sign, not a % sign

Just before checking for an answer, I received this from Aspire:
For the TCR value,we use ‰,so if the value is 0.00138 you use put in 1.38‰

If that were true though, it would seem I'd need .138 to get the value I want.

Anyway, there's the odd symbol, since I can't find a way to create it here.

Well, I had to use my Google-fu on this since the maker used this symbol.
It means Per mille and the term occurs so rarely in English that major dictionaries do not agree on the spelling or pronunciation even within a single dialect of English.

Good of Aspire to undertake educational efforts as well as making vaping devices.

I just decided to find a good price on a black one. First, I had to make sure it does TCR well.
Since it does, I'm looking for one. I'm sure it'll be a nice mod. Thanks for the thread!

LOL!! Maybe they just wanted to get rid of the zeros to save space... 1.38 fits better than 0.00138... LOL

Had mine for over a month now solid mod really comfortable to use all the modes I'm impressed with especially the CPS. Menu system is really inuitive and love that it's instant on no fannying around waiting for a boot screen

although onboard charging is a little janky...also noticed it favours discharging right side battery to start with. Maybe because battery door isn't entirely flush?

Oh also very minor firing delay to avoid cooking coil whilst selecting menu functions

The athos tank that came with the kit was just ok nothing special ...opted to run the Ijoy Combo 2 instead ...like they were made for each other!

Read your complete review and it, along with this thread, made my decision. Just had to make certain the TCR function would support SS430.
Not interested in the kit form as the tank seems to be an afterthought. Just the mod.

Thanks.

Just think, we all learned something so useful to use in our daily lives....
Just impress your friends with per mille ... ‰ ( ALT + 0137 ) :)

My thoughts on the battery door.... I dont like it... even when well closed with batteries, is doesnt stand up
w/o wobbling a bit...
Also, i see the little latch is just a piece of plastic, so i wouldnt recommend pressing it closed, i would
use my fingernail, pull the little open tab, press it shut, then release the tab...
That will put less ware on that little plastic latch.. which I dont see lasting a long time....

Thanks mate :) yeah I don't see why it won't although I use 316L myself in TC

Battery cut off was 3v (just under) so go for ages between charges ....Aspire said thier proprietary chip had 95% efficiency rating when I asked

I saw the battery door mentioned in a review, was wondering how it was. Kind of a shame. The reviews said it was a bit wonky, between the battery door not closing totally flush and the base being smaller due to the rounded shape. Makes sense there's less surface area.

The overall shape looks really comfortable but wish they'd have made the bottom a little more flat and maybe only rounded part of the top. It would have given just a little more room for a wider variety of atomizer widths. I mean of the mod is going to be x mm wide, may as well support atties up to x mm so the width of the mod isn't wasted. Rather than have a mod that's 30mm wide but can only fit 24mm atties without overhanging the rounded bit.

I am constantly knocking mine over, but not as much as my Smoant Charon, which is skinny and wide, and also
rounded at the bottom.. that one I don't want to drop cuz the front in glass....

Yea I wish the charon were a little wider. It does look a bit thin. The charon you said has glass on the front? Maybe you're thinking of the charon ts rather than the original charon.

It can't be as bad as the battery door on the tesla nano steampunk. It feels like it would fall off.

Not sure on the Innokin Scion tank- was a pain in the ass to get apart! I mean you have to prime the coil and you have to unscrew the bottom, thank god I had the Tobeco tank tool! The top fill is hard to get off too! Very smooth mouthpiece top and needed rubber gloves to open! I just make sure I don't put on too tight for refills! Seems to vape really well, breaking in the coil rated at 100w-200w at 55w and it is good!

I am having a serious issue with the Speeder! Brand new, fully charged LG brownies 3000 mAh and when I push the fire button at 55w it say Low Battery!
I see the battery dip to 0 then to 55w- so I tried my Asvape Cobra tank at 25w same thing! I use these same batteries in my Minikins, Yosta Livepor 160w and Michael 200w and those mods do not act this way and the batteries last at least 8 hrs, not an hour! There is no firmware updates for the Speeder yet- so I will be contacting customer support- I think this mod will be going back! Thank god I won this, I would be pissed if I spent money and this happened!
Anyone have any ideas on what the battery issue may be?

Yikes!! Well, issues do happen, I have had my share... So you say you tried the batts in different mods and no issues??
I have heard of that happening on a different mod, I cant remember what it was, but I think it turned out to be a grounding issue...

Nothing seen as an issue on mine snap, batteries last ages for me ...I would have thought you are covered under warranty Contest Win or not could just be unlucky with it?

In meantime stop using it until issue is identified fully charged batteries should not be discharging that quickly on there, suggest reaching out to Aspire

Thanks- I will reach out to Tina! Yes the batteries have been removed- and is now in the cabinet! I am sure she will make it right! Sometimes mods can be wonky- coming all the way from China- who knows how carefully it was handled or mishandled!
Thank You for helping me- I am not the most technical person, but I am not a stranger to dual battery mods and know this one is not acting right!

Tina from Aspire emailed me and all is fine with my Speeder mod- it is working correctly- it is showing the stages of ramp up to my wattage- where other mods don't show this! She had a video of her mod acting the same way! She referred to it as a pot that starts to boil getting up to the temp- not all at once! I wish I could show the video, but I cannot get the link to work here!
She also said I should be using a 25 amp High Drain battery for low resistance- so I will use either my new Samsung 25 (green)
or my LG He4 (yellow) which is a high drain battery!
I am relieved that my mod is fine and working correctly! I am using my Speeder now and No worries!

Samsung 25rs are the only batteries I use, I scrapped my 30Q batteries when I got my cloud beast an started vaping 100w plus.
I highly recommend them.

I'm glad your speeder is sorted, I'm ordering one when I get paid :) I don't really need a new mod, I'm really happy with my most recent purchase the tesla wye but this is an aspire mod so I must own it! Been impressed with my archon an still am a year later but been waiting for a more solid one! Although suprisingly my archon survived the concrete.
My tesla has been dropped loads so must be some durable plastic. I bought these two mods reluctantly and am glad I did.

No serious issue- The Speeder is working correctly! It is that I have never had a mod that actually shows the whole readout and now I understand about the ramp up to reach my wattage!

Out of the 6 mods I always keep loaded on my desk, the Speeder is the only one
that I haven't had even a minor issue with.. but the Charon TC is a close second, and
would be my #1 mod if it weren't for the rattily fire button.....
