I have 6 of them, really need a few more for backup as Eciggity had them dirt cheap last time I checked.

Did I hear right they had stopped production of the first one a while back?
I was under the impression they'd been discontinued awhile back. Very few vendors have them anymore. I've gotten a few from Eciggity, a couple from Fasttech when they had them, and bought a couple of used ones here in the hardware thread.

Wonder if we'll have to boreas burp this one

It was bloody unforgiving if you didn't hehe remember my first time filling it forgot to do that ...didn't end well, suppose I should have read the manual

haha yeah, I have it down to a science now with 4 in rotation but I do sometimes forget to drain the deck and close the afc before I go to refill it... not fun. If it vapes as good as or better than the original and those refill quirks are no longer an issue I will definitely be looking to grab a few. If not, I will hope I can still find a few of the v1's on eciggity if I feel I need more in the stash.

It's about time they gave us a shorty boreas!:stars2:
The chamber looks super small, curious to see inside it, cant see how they got the deck under that dome.

That drip tip though
Lip cheese magnet
I don't think I have ran the stock DT on anything but the merlin mini though so not a big deal, it will swapped out.

Keeping on keeping on. Had someone ask me if I was going to review this so I had to jump on the forums and see what y'all were saying. I knew the Juice would be in here! How have you been? What's your vape game looking like these days?

Maaannn tough questions!

EDIT: Can't leave the Odis 16 for a 5th top three :giggle:

Large: Druga, Yeti and Goon

RTAs: Still rockin' my old Merlins daily and the Petri 22

Have Psyclone's new Entheon in vapemail and am hoping to pounce on the Flave 22 this Friday when it gets its first release, lol

Does anyone see where the air holes are? Is this a bottom air hole like v1? I can't see any on the pics.

This does not look like an RDTA to me. Nothing like the juice flow system like the first Boreas (of which I have 3) or the system like Aromamizer Supreme v2 and others. This has a wick 'channel' like virtually every other RTA decks. Wonder if it feeds differently than most? How can you refer to it as an RDTA when it is pretty much the same as your average RTA set up? I was just getting ready to buy this and really looked at the deck/juice channels and not seeing what I would like to see on this. It may work great, but not the same total saturation process of the original. Hmmmmm. Waiting for a vid review.

check the juice feed to the deck...very common approach. Not the way it was fed on the original or the Aromamizer Supreme v2. That makes me sad. I love the old deck feeding system.

It's not an RDTA, niether is the Aromamizor even if Steamcrave insists on calling it an RDTA, it's an RTA. An RDTA is like the Limitless, Avocado, Merlin RDTA, etc. where you can either easily pop the cap and drip or just rely on the tank below.

You are correct rossco, my mistake. They are not calling it an RDTA. Not sure where I got that!
I would also wonder why they even call this a Boreas V2? It has nothing in common with the original Boreas. When I first saw this was coming out I was really hoping for the wick feeding system at the bottom of the deck like the original. I really love that about the original and with the Supreme v2. That feeding system is why SteamCrave chooses to call it an RDTA I guess.

This Boreas v2 is a beauty for sure. If it performs as good as we expect, it will be a great combination of form AND functionality.

Yeah I get a bit anal retentive at times, have no idea why Steamcrave calls it an RDTA for there's nothing "dripping" about it.

Anyway the Boreas v2 is a drastic change and like you I do wish they kept the same style deck or maybe went postless. Currently though my favorite build deck is the Reload RTA, it's IMO the best deck design to date.

Definitely interested in getting one, Augvape usually makes good stuff so hoping this will be more of the same.

Im not a fan of them reducing the juice capacity from 7+ mls, that kinda turns me off. I mean it looks cool and all but I just dont see buying more than one, simply just to satisfy my curiousity. I have like 12 of the original Boreas now and have yet to see anything thats worth "replacing" them with I guess.

If my Borei made me stop looking for other RTAs, could a Boreas v2 change that? Confused and conflicted.
maybe? vaping with vic said he thinks it may be one of the best of 2017

I agree a bit but I always drain the deck when I refill so I probably only get 5 - 6 ml in there. The shorter height is part of why I am interested in it as the original v1 are really tall which is not appealing on my tippy g2 and voopoo drag box mods and from what vic said it seems to have improved the flavor a lot.

Good point, I didnt consider the boreas burp which I always do as well. So as long as thats not something required on the v2 the capacity difference may be a wash.

Okay, I took a stab in the dark and ordered from VaporRange, they have them on pre-order for $34.95 w/free shipping. They're supposed to be released in a couple of days, so everyone cross their fingers. ;)

One of the other reviews I saw (djlsb maybe?) mentioned leaking on refill so I think the burp will be necessary, but hopefully it can be done just by closing the air flow and not draining the deck.

I think it was djlsb, as I see I watched the full video on it by him:

Fine looking, relatively small, good capacity, promising small chamber,
BUT a velocity deck??? with only side airflow???I mean are you serious???
