The Drone and all three drip boxes are in the list.

I had completely forgot about the Squonk Flasks! Thank you.

Vicious Ant has that Gargoyle out now too

Didn't think I'd see anything more expensive than the Rebel or Boxer without going full custom. Definitely has that X-treme look going.

think this is more an "off the shelf" list than custom stuff

Could be an extension of #13

Was going for an extensive list, might as well break the one item out into any places that fit the bill. Thank you.

I've always wondered about guys like CAM and Custom Classics. With high end gear that can go for hundreds of dollars a piece, isn't being based on a site that's as moderation heavy as ECF a risk? Same thing for the Facebook groups.

If you or your clients can get shut down at a moment's notice, that doesn't sound conducive to business.

It's a choice the buyer has to make - I bought a CC direct, and a Tmod from Tom on FB but they have well established reputations - oh, and those squonkers (Tmod and CC) are superior to what is readily available commercially (mass produced) IME

The same with a few modders here on VU which I have also bought from, like Sonar

It would be more risky dealing with someone new to modding who does not yet have a track record

However, I don't see it as that much riskier than dealing with a lot of these sites you find online - some are one-guy operations run out of basements, etc

But, several large, successful vape companies started out that way -especially juice brands

Pico squeeze is NOT regulated....... is only max output limited.

Sent from my SCH-I605 using Tapatalk

Pico squeeze absolutely 100 percent is regulated. It has every protection under the sun and is just another bypass mode regulated device.

If you build between 0.15 and 0.2 Ohm, it will even adjust the output voltage to constantly hit that 50W maximum.

Oh I wasn't implying risk to the purchaser, I was saying it seems risky to the modder.

If your whole operation, or even individual customers can be shut down arbitrarily by an interventionist group, just would niggle at the back of my mind if i was in business like that.

That's limited to 50watts. What wattage does .5ohm yield? From what understand it whatever watts the battery charge level provides. Ie 35 watts or less.

I am thinking about sending him both of mine, just can't decide if I want to go with the extra expense of replacing the wismec board with a dna yet. I will probably just keep the same board if I do it. If I am going to spend $100+ on a squonker conversion to dna I might just as well get a dna dual battery squonker drone (or hopefully upcoming color version) other than the fact that I have belt/cup holders for my rx200s' so they are my go to for traveling.

I don't understand what that has to do with it though.

The Pico Squeeze has and uses voltage regulation circuitry, that's what regulated device means. An adjustable voltage or adjustable wattage device with a screen and up/down buttons doesn't stop being a regulated device when you put it in bypass mode. Those components don't stop existing inside the device.

I know Catfish used to do that conversion before he decided it was too much work for too little result. Glad someone's still doing it.

I still have my DNA Reauleux, $50 is a lot cheaper than a drone, and more compact as well.

I have a friend that used a TFV8 and ruined his 510 that might be interested as well. How could I contact this guy?

And conversion definitely should be listed as an option!

I don't want to post his fb name publicly on a forum but if you join jai haze's 'wicks and coils' facebook group you should be able to search/find posts by the guy doing it. If you have any problems finding his posts shoot me a pm and I can give you his name or link you to one of his posts in that group.

Totally agree. I'm going to change my 200s. I just don't like the nickel filling the hole for the old 510. Im looking into filling it with bondo then sanding it down. Then I'll put a wrap on it.

It is only reglated to a max output of 50watts IF you are running a coil at .27ohm or lower you get 50 waiis because its limited to somewhere around 15amps of output. At any OHM higher than .27 it will provide less than 50 watts. Except for the period of time the battery is charge to over 3.7 volts, Its wattage output is regulated via OHS law and limited via Watts Law. It is regulated ONLY when you are at max output.

Ok, but it's not only called an automatic transmission car when it's physically in the process of changing gears.

It's got a chip, it has the components called a voltage regulator, it uses them to regulate voltage, it's a regulated device.

I understand what you are saying, it's not a variable voltage or a variable wattage device because the user can not vary those settings, but that's not what regulated means. The electronics term regulated predates vaping, and has a meaning. The Pico Squeeze meets the qualifications.

How do you think the output gets limited? By a voltage regulator. So yeah, it's a regulated mod, just not adjustable. It's also regulated to provide other protections as well.

You are cirrect... BUT... the manufacturer considers it a direct voltage output device.. with protections for safety that limit power drawn from the battery.... it does not regulate output.

Yeah, marketing people at these companies don't always consult the engineers, or someone with a firm grasp on the language they're translating to.

But we obviously all understand what's in the device, what it does, and what it doesn't do. We're arguing terminology now. I'm done, I don't see anything substantive to add.

My original purpose is recommendations for new users of squonking that are uncomfortable, or unfamiliar with mechanical mods and the safety precautions they require.

The Pico Squeeze is staying in. It's incredibly inexpensive, safe, compact, and popular, and a great device to start squonking with.

Won't be everyone's favorite, and that's fine. We don't have to standardize on one device.

We got a vicious ant listed, I think the sky's the limit.

I have an arbitrary idea in my head that if there is or was an order page then it gets a listing as an orderable item or as classifieds searchable. If you had to contact a builder on some type of social media, then it's a custom dealie and the modder gets a listing instead.

I'm not married to the idea, and it probably won't work well for some reason. If you've got a better idea on organization, please let me know that as well.

If we get multiple pages here I'll probable post whatever the current list is once per pagination as well.

Nothing on organisation, solid as you've been doing.

There's the li-mo dna60. You don't need facebook, Just email them directly.
There's a few more that apply to your criteria; which by the way, totally agree. Yet, for the life of me I've gone blank...

Edit:

Avatar NFG v2 by No Name - DNA75
Mokooo - DNA40
Both on the more pricey side but available from certain online vendors when they make batches.

Then there's also Big Apple Mods, you can be added to the list through his thread over at ECF

Found two guys on Reddit that do the conversion with the DNA version. Neither uses a Quarter for filler though.

One isn't answering and the other is on Naval deployment for a few months though.

The Navy guy is a good modder in general.

Here's the Reauleux he did, he added some paint at the end as well:

Hmm, the details say there's only one left in stock, and that it's white, but it lets you add the red one to your cart.

I've never heard of iBuddy. Looks like another no name Chinese mod. I really should put those together in the list somehow, but don't want them mixed in with more long term viable devices.

Maybe now that there's not a separate "new" section I can make a second list at the bottom of these no name one off devices.
