Vicious Ant isn't an American Company. Filipino if memory serves, and their service definitely doesn't match their pricing.

I got a Knight a while back with a defective board and they "handled" the situation horribly. They wanted me to send it to them so they could check it out, but they wanted me to use a certain carrier and list the value at $50, while I paid $350 for the mod and the shipping was going to cost around $120. Blew my mind. Thank God I didn't order straight from them, and was able to get a full refund from the seller.

Yikes!!! I was misinformed then... and thanks for this feedback.. I am scratching them off my list of hopefuls...
And sorry to here about your problem with them.
I am just looking for a really good higher end company.. I guess no mods are actually made in the US.. maybe
US designers, but not made here.
Maybe Lost Vape is a good one??? Their stuff looks nice....

There are US made mods, they're just few and far between. Vaporized Nomads' mods are made in the US and are of great quality, but they're ridiculously overpriced. Hexohms are made in the US as well. They're pricey and simple but built to last and come with a lifetime warranty. I have a Hexohm V3 and absolutely love it.

Lost Vape makes pretty well-rounded mods. I've had two, an eFusion Duo and a Therion 166. Had no issues from either, though I've seen plenty of examples of people having trouble with the Therion. To be fair though, as popular as the Therion is the sheer amount of them out there is going to lead to more reports of issues.

billet box is made in the US and have great customer service. I just don't like how they create a artificial demand by only releasing a handful out at a time so it makes them "rare." but if you do get your hands on one they are very nice piece of hardware. practical and not flashy. just works. I'm not a MTL but I have found a happy medium between and I get a very satisfying vape.

The SXMini G Class is superbly built, same chip, notably less money. Chinese yes, but their CS is very good. 1yr warranty. I have not been happier with any other piece of vape gear I own.

Asmodus is an American based company- they do have a warranty repair center and are very responsive on FaceBook!
I own the Silvanusa- I purchased from them in January- I got to choose the exact mod I wanted and have had no problems! I am saving my money till after the holidays for the Minikin V2 Kodama!

I have reading both good and bad shit about this mod and Vicious Ant.. so, to me, it's too
much $$$ to take a chance...

I have to wonder, is there ANY mod that gets near consistent user approval?
I know ppl like to complain about any stupid thing, so what one person says is a POS, it
may not be at all an issue with someone else....

Hohm wrecker G2...Ive seen about 4 people with a bad report...but the G2 has been raved about for over a year and its the only mod for me that has lasted since the day of getting it without any issues...its not pretty but its a workhorse.

If your looking for something pretty, functional and also long lasting itll be a mech mod..Signature Tips SQ is a US CNC Milled Squonker that should last a lifetime and if anything breaks there isnt a piece you cannot easily replace...

Both of these are not only designed in the USA but made here also...

I'm gonna second this, I robbed my friends. It performs great & is built like a brick shit house. As he said its not the greatest looking mod but I haven't had a better functioning mod, I like it even more than mods with yihi chips or DNA chips.
It doesn't cost as much as $200.00-$350.00 either an is just as good.
It's hard for me to get one cos I'm in the UK. My mate said he might sell me his :) highly recommend it. I've not put it down for a solid month!!

If Hohm Wrecker had a mod that wasnt literaly a box, I would own it already.. so I am keeping my eye on them.
Some of these other guys, like Asmodus, seems to be hit and miss...
I am also looking at Lost Vape, and just ordered a HCigar vt75d from China.. I hope the D version is easier
to use then the C version.. or is it about the same????

Has some really good functions, just make sure you read a manual cos doesn't work the same as commercial mods.

The designer/ceo was interviewed on youtube and did a demo of how it navigates.. it is different.. i was like... WTF???? LOL

Also considering getting a Rebel from the UK... with shipping, it will set me back about $300..... but it's not
made in China :) .. I dont care if the parts are made in China, I want it assembled some where else simply
because China has a pretty weird business QC ethic... We vapors are an outspoken lot.. when something
is done well, we praise it, when they fuck up, we are gleeful to hang them upside down by their balls until
they get it right, and if they dont, we throw them under the bus and they can kiss their business goodbye ... :)

Be wary of 3d printed mods. The color doesn't hold up well on them(they're usually printed with a grey-ish plastic and then dyed. The dye then fades over time) and from what I can tell they have issues with battery doors. They just kind of press or clip into place so they wear out and stop staying on.

I read a while back about a guy who had trouble out of a Rebel mod. The board was defective iirc, and the battery door didn't stay on. The company doesn't give refunds, so even though he was done with them his only option was to get a replacement. In addition he had to pay out the ass for overseas shipping. Not trying to dissuade you, I'm just saying make sure that you really want it before you pay the, frankly, outrageous prices they charge.

The problem with high end mods, in my experience anyway, is that they often have the same QC issues and overall problems that lower to mid range mods have. They just tend to look nicer and, most of the time anyway, function a little better.(Evolv and Yihi temp control accuracy for example.) That's not the case with every company/mod maker, but it's more common than would be expected based on the price of them. Some of these companies have excellent customer service(Craving Vapor and Evolv for example, among others), but some don't.

Basically what I'm getting at is that it's always important to do your research, regardless of where the products are made, especially when you're shelling out hundreds of dollars. The whole debacle with the original Sherman RTA is a good example of terrible QC and customer service outside of China. Every country has good people and shitty people.

Buy the chip and then have someone make you a decent stabwood enclosure...best option..

When their warehouse is empty the Hohm Wrecker is gone for good. Hohmtech bought Indonesia Chem fro LG and are moving their resources into batteries...no more mods from them.

Was pretty sure these are manufactured and sold from the UK?

Even US sites selling them state UK made, and at the Signature Tips site, they claim it it their design, etc

Well, Hohm Wrecker “is” kinda boxy. But Hohmtech, the maker, also had this one
4cf2fa80e11f45fa5db0e5a34209aeee.jpg

It’s the Hohm Slice and I believe they also had the tube type.
Yes I said “had” since they no longer produce mods and turned to batteries instead.

I like that 'used and lived it' look.. i think this one has a better shape then their square box mod.. after handling the RX200s, RX3 and Asmodus minikin 2, I am love with that shape... I want all my future mods to have a similar rounded shape...

Well, I think it's deal with China or go to US garage made mech mods...
As far as I know, there are no regulated mods manufactured in the US.

I realize no matter how well made, u can still get a lemon.. that's where good PR and communication is
very important.. try dealing with China, and u have that barrier.. they dont know what the fuck u are talking about!!!

Higher end mods, even though made in china, usually have better workmanship and parts.
But then there's still that customer relations thing to deal with in case something is fucked up...

2 reasons that keep me coming back to it are
1. 0.000006 ohm capacity
2. Can do tc on kanthal and any kind of wire
Plus the fact that it fits perfectly in my hand and it’s so tough.

The Boxer (Rebel clone) is dyed.. the Rebel is not... see J. Haze's demo video on Youtube....
But thinking about it, it's a fucking vaporizer!!! Unless it's a work of art, it's crazy to spend $300+ on one...

Expecting a HCigar DNA75 ($80 from GearBest), and when my return credit is processed from ElementVapes, I am getting the
lost vape triade ($129 from EV - my $100 credit = $29)... I think that price range is reasonable considering they have a proprietery chipset that can be
calibrated via software that is known to work...

Lost vape triade sounds right up your alley actually seeing as your used to the rx gen a triple battery would be really worth it for you & lost vape do really good DNA mods.
I was gonna get the lost vape therion 166 but I want a triple battery mod to replace to replace my wismec rx200s and I've recently started TC. Cheap Chinese mods don't cut it. Even the budget mods that do TC well are only mid range at best!
Good choice of mod an if you get it please post pictures :D

Yeah, I think all the China mid-priced mods do vw just fine, but pretty much forget tc, even though they
do advertise it... there are really only a few current chipsets that can do tc well, and they are just too costly
for them to put in their mods because it would send the price way up..
Also, I think most ppl who vape just use vw, or they use those single button, simple pen style things...

Your right, the shape and feel of the RX200s spoiled me for anything else.. that's why I took the chance
(knowing about it's problems) on a RX3, and later, a Minikin 2... these just feel soooo right in the hand.. and
I also like the tactile weight of the 3 cells with that shape (though the Minikin only has 2)....

Yeah I hear you that's why I got the battlestar!!
Smont mod have reliable tc. Cuboid and Pico users say they also get reliable tc.
The TC on my pico really suprised me actually cos for the $30.00 I paid for the mod I was so suprised!

Yes, I have a Aspire Speeder and TC is all I have ever used on it... your right, I am very happy with it...
Also, a bit more $$, but I have a Asmodus Minikin 2 on TC as well.. as far as I can tell, they are both pretty
consistent and accurate, but I dont have test equipment.. I really LOVE my little Minikin... Speeder too :)
