Been driving 45 years or so.
Only one fender bender accident.
Fool tried to pass me from behind while I was making a left turn and was giving signal.
NO tickets whatsoever aside from a few overtime parking tickets.
Have driven around 1 million miles. Worked on the road for quite a few years.

had to get FBI clearance once to work in the J Edgar Hoover building on some fiber optics and they were leery because my record was so clean.

I had a pretty good record, I have two tickets on my record. I don't drive anymore because of the meds I was on and now in the pump. Occasionally I still need to take Oral meds on bad days. I don't need anything to happen even not my fault and it brought up. They could really throw the book at me. It is a pain in the you know what but better safe than sorry.

I went to Pain Management today to get my prescriptions.
I had to get a gabapentin script this time.
He writes it so the one prescription has enough refills for a full year so I don't have to bother with it as often.
I got my monthly pain med script too.
I go to get them filled on Monday..
Eventually I end up skipping a week because I go to the pain doc every 28 days.
I get the prescriptions filled every 28 days then 29 days then 28 days and so on because it never hurts to have an extra couple of weeks of pain meds.
Hurricanes come through and what if the doctors has no power and is closed for a week?
Everyone else can be totally fucked but i'm smarter than that.

Anyway my pain level was about a 2 this morning at the doctors and is about a 4 1/2 now so i'm going to lay down before it hets any worse.

Talk to you guys tomorrow :)

Pain is no joke, my Ex that I just split up with had degenerative fascit disc disease and had already had 3 surgeries on her back fusing the bottom 5 discs. On top of that every disc in her neck is shot and she needs surgery on that too, i watched her live with this for 10 years and struggle daily. People under estimate the debilatating effect that living in constant chronic pain has on a persons life. Dealing with these things on a daily basis is so discouraging that some days she just wanted to give up. that being said i will keep you in my prayers and i admire your courage for just being able to face each day. i think forums like this help people because it shows them that they are not the only ones.

Fusions suck because it makes the disc above and below the fused one work extra hard which wears them out faster.
Then you are back in the hospital for more fusions.

I had my left hip and pelvis fused together from 1994 to 2004 and it really fucked my back up.

One thing that I find extremely difficult is getting comfortable in the bed.
Try laying down and realizing that your hips are twisted but you don't know that until you lay down. The good twisted won't let you lay straight, so it puts pressure on your spine. You can't move your legs so you're sitting up and laying down repeatedly until you get them straight. Keep in mind, your lower abs and back don't work either so sitting up is also a bit more difficult.
Then just when you get it lined up, your legs start spasming. After they are don't and the pain sets in, you flip up to fall asleep with your head on your knees.

Sometimes I fall asleep right away but most of the time i toss, turn, and flop around like a fish out of water for hours on end.
I've laid in bed with the lights off for five or six hours before and never fell asleep.
So now if it doesn't happen in 30 minutes I just turn the laptop back on and hang around in here.
I often wake up every 90 minutes or so.
When that happens i check the forum for spam with my phone and go back to bed:)

Yeah that drug sucks for that. But so far it was the only thing that took the edge off for me. The other more popular stuff had me so hammered I couldn't function. One of them had me rolling around the hospital naked telling the nurses 'look at my Weiner!'

Haven't tried that one.

I don't know if that's how you're supposed to act, but they all thought it was funny. I guess one doesn't forget something like that.

First day on Lyrica went ok until last night.
Had alot of painful spasms. Not as many as with the tramadol but much more painful when they happened. Also, gave me a panic attack in the middle of the night. It also makes me really tired.
Time to see how day 2 goes.

Lyrica made me see double a lot, as far as sleep goes I have tried everything I end up having to take Trazadone for sleep. It is a old school antidepressant that is used for sleep sometimes. Everything else I did weird stuff when I took it. I still don't sleep the night through.

I feel for all you that are suffering with daily pain whether from physical or psychological issues. I also suffer from RA and PTSD. I started vaping after losing my 21 year old son and it helped with the anxiety and depression. I have since discovered CBD and add it to my daily vape. I am now off all my pain and anti-inflammatory medicines. I am also off of my depression medicines. I owe a lot to vaping because it relaxes me. I have never been a smoker but can fully understand why people smoke. I never smoked because I watched my father die from smoking complications and it was a slow, horrible death. Vaping has been a great thing for me and will always support the right to vape for all of us regardless whether we do it to quit smoking or for other reasons.

If I may ask what CBD and where do you get it as it seems to vary a lot in quality and price.
I keep getting spam mail for gummy bear CBD...

I get it at my local vape store and will be glad to send you the specifics. I am going today to buy some because I am out and threw the bottle away. It is not really cheap but it lasts a long time for me. I usually put about 8 drops in a tank of vape and have it in a separate tank and mod in my rotation. I vape it throughout the day but not exclusively.

I was on Ambien for sleep and it made me do all kinds of goofy shit.
I didn't know where I was going to wake up or what I was going to be doing when I woke up.
I could open single starbursts and eat them in my sleep. i'd wake up and be bitching because someone stole all my candy again.:(
I woke up while pouring an entire bottle of water down myself in my bed.
I woke up in the living room naked on the couch - When I lived with my parents:facepalm:

My Mom's neighbor was on that briefly. Then she started noticing the mileage on her car kept going up for no apparent reason. That stuff is dangerous.

I think I did all of that and more. What scared us the most was I would be asleep and be smoking. I burnt holes in a new couch and our carpet. Don't even remember it. Same on lunesta (SP?). I might wake up once or twice on Trazadone but I WAKE UP. I know what I am doing . LOL

LMAO! That last one sounds familiar.
I woke up and lifted the seat on the couch, relieved my bladder, closed the seat, flushed and rolled away.
Thankfully it was my mom's old couch, and I was just out of the hospital ... So there's that.

I have peripheral neuropathy. For the last 13 years I've been taking Trileptal. It's been really great, and helps me sleep well. For about the last year, I've started having some breakthrough pain and doc gave me gabapentin for that. Neither of these have me doing anything goofy, and I can function well for most of the day. I can almost tell you what time it is when my legs and feet start acting up, lately. Although, I'm also dealing with a broken foot right now, LOL. THAT is exhausting, lugging it around at work, trying to get comfy when I sleep. Thankfully, it's a temporary thing. Small beans, in comparison.

I have no idea why, I wasn't even depressed or anything.

At the end of my drinking, I cried everytime I got drunk. After I'd been sober about 10 yrs, I had some dental work done, and they didn't have nitrous -- which I absolutely require just to get into the dentist's chair -- so they gave me this pill that I think was valium -- and all I could do was cry uncontrollably. I think it stimulates the same portion of the brain as alcohol -- just booze in a pill!

Valium is what they give to alcoholics when they are detoxing.

So, I was just asleep since my last post in this thread:)

I have been getting decent sleep over the past few days and if I could only figure out what I was doing right that caused me to sleep well I could do it every night:mad:

I have been falling asleep around 2 to 3am and waking up around 7am to take my meds then I sleep until around 9am.
After I take my mid day meds around 2:30pm I take a nap until around 4:30pm.

It's been working So far:)

No, usually librium -- which doesn't make you high, it just gets rid of the rough edges of the detox.

hmm...type 2 diabetes.
Had 2 inguinal hernias.
Had carpel tunnel in both wrists.
Have lower back issues, never gone to the DR about it, but symptoms point to a herniated disc.
Have knee issues, left knee mostly. Likely arthritis.
Have foot issues, numerous severe sprains and possible fractures have resulted in ganglion cysts in the joints of my arches.

Yea, I led a pretty reckless childhood resulting in the knee and foot issues. I'd get hurt, ignore it, and continue doing whatever. Very high tolerance for pain. High to the point that when it actually gets severe enough to effect me, nearly overdosing on over the counter pain killers wont even effect it. That being said, I normally always have mild pain somewhere.

This is my bio which is a much longer version of what got me to the point where I started vaping:

http://vapingunderground.com/threads/5150sick.622/

My Anxiety and P.T.S.D. is from the car accident, the following traumas from those injuries, along with the time I was on the shitty end of a home invasion / attempted murder along with an ex girlfriend from back in August 2001.

I edited my name and personal info out of the local newspaper article below:

View attachment 91902 View attachment 91903 View attachment 91904 View attachment 91905

I knew a LOT of people in the Baltimore County Detention Center because a LOT of my childhood friends got into drugs really bad.
In less than three days I had my buddy Rich call and put the Kenny Jones kid on the phone who apologized to me numerous times.
The Ex boyfriend (T. O'Halloran) of my Ex girlfriend Jen was the mastermind and got the other dude all spaced out on hallucinogenics.

My cousin Lisa's husband just happened to be the O'Halloran guys cell mate and had him so scared of me because of the friends I had that the dude totally panicked and sent the homicide detectives to my house telling them he was afraid for his life... In PRISON!!!

I screamed at them "I'm the fucking victim here asshole, Why are you harassing the victim?" and slammed the door in their face.

Wow, absolutely crazy. My wife was born in Dundalk (moved to the north towards the state line when she was around 10) and that place is interesting no doubt. Didn't the earth try to swalllow it a few years back?

I'm from Rosedale which is right over Back (Shit) River from Dundalk.
My friends and I used to cross the Amtrak bridge and cut through Essex over to Dundalk on our bicycles when we were teenagers.
Ask her if she knows where the ABC streets are

My dreams are often about pain.

My dreams are scary, evil, sick and twisted and I wouldn't trade them for anything else in the world.
There is no feeling that compares to waking up scared to death covered in sweat.
Then I just laugh out loud and go back to sleep hoping I remember the next twisted thing my mind concocts.;)

I have discoid lupus, but it's nothing like systemic lupus. Discoid affects the skin with occasional flare ups. I hope you continue to do well with Ritalin . A girl I work with was recently diagnosed, too. She's having a tough time, so far, so I'll let her know about the Ritalin. Maybe she'll discuss that with her doc.

One thing I really rarely discuss here is sudden profound hearing loss, which started mid 2004, around the same time my peripheral neuropathy was diagnosed. Just a really bad year for me, health wise, lol. Do they have you in hearing aids, or implants at this point?

I had a recurring dream from the time I was a child. I used to have it at least once or twice a week.
It stopped a few months ago. I used to dream that a giant boob was trying to eat me. It had eys and the teeth of a t-rex.
