I wasn't really very impressed with my Aegis when I first got it. It was pretty blah. But I had a resin FireLuke tank on it and once I switched tanks, I liked my Aegis much more. I'm really not that impressed with the FireLuke, which is disappointing because I was really hoping to like it. So now I'm looking for a replacement. *sigh*

I am hoping that the new update that is supposed to come out in the next couple days addresses the battery regulation. This thing runs like a mech rather than a regulated device imo. As the battery drains so does the power to the coil. I am currently running it as a work beater as intended but I am bringing an extra batt. I find at 3.8v the batt needs to be prematurely swapped because the hit is so damn weak. If the new update does not help it then I guess I will just use it for yard work and stuff.

I can say at least unlike ipv products they are trying to fix shit. Ipv would of just kicked out a new mod to address the problem.

The latest I have is V1.22, and it drops fast as well. The power shouldn't be dropping down to 35W trying to fire a .4 ohm build at 50W when the battery meter shows half full.

I have requested that the coil resistance lock be put back in as well.

I believe that is what firmware I am on too. I did both of the updates in order that they list on the site. I heard there is supposed to be another in a couple few days. I have the same problems. meter shows half and the power supplied is way under. Hoping they can get it to regulate power better. If not I will go back to using a less rugged dual batt mod as a work beater because I don't like swapping batts at 3.8v or 3.9v

Are you all using 18650s or 26650s with the battery drain issue? I'm not sure I'm super worried cause I'm going to use this with a mtl setup at like 15w

I am using the 26650 batts, and 26650 batts do suffer from sag. I was going to order the 20700/21700 battery cap for it but just never got around to it.

As a 15w mtl setup I imagine the issue I have will be a non issue.

No wonder I was blowing through 2 iJoys 26650s a day. I knew something was off. Charging at like 3.8 when I had no power left. I'm gonna have to shelve this thing soon if they don't fix this issue in the next few days. Love the mod but damn the battery life is killing it.

I've run with both batteries. Hopefully a new firmware will fix our problems.

15W should be no problem at all.

I got mine a couple weeks ago. No real issues so far. The fire button is getting a little 'CLICKY' ... meaning you have to press it in the rigtht spot but other than that things have been working fine. That and I didn't get any extra screws for the USB cover. I tried contacting GeekVape about the lack of screws on their website but it seemed IMPOSSIBLE to log my complaint there.

I haven't updated the firmware yet but have been mostly using it it power mode. I started off using my 18650 batts but recently picked up a couple iJoy 26650's and find that they're lasting me the whole day instead of 1/2 - 2/3 of a day. I'm vaping at around 45 watts and have noticed that the 26650's only last about half a day on the weekend when I'm not working.

I LOVE the ability to wash this mod off and not have to worry about ejuice leaking inside the mod or fire button. I've had this issue with several of my Joyetech mods which is why I got this one in the first place. I feel the screen could be a bit easier to read but part of that is relating to my eyes not seeing small type very well.

Overall I'm happy with the mod and hope that any future updates make it better! (Just send me some DAMN backup screws. LOL)

Their pitch of being indestructible didn't work on me. All of my mods have been through some sh-t and keep on working.

My pico has seen the worst. I dropped it on the street during Christmas shopping (0° temperature). It was obviously ranover, and found by a curb a day later. I looked it over, cleaned it off, worked fine. It has been dropped or fallen off counters dozens of times. The last indecent I left it outside all night on the deck. There were tunderstorm showers all night. When I found it, I thought it was the end lol. "I killed my Pico finally!" Nope, it just needed to dry off. Its in my hand right now with a baby beast full of apple/raz and performing the same as the day I bought it. The fire button barely has any paint from being used so much.

I'm a clumsy person by nature and all of my mods/tanks have been knocked around and been in the dirt. None have died or quit working right. I think the Aegis mod looks awesome. But I'm set for single battery devices. Sorry, I just wanted to post durability is a non-issue for some users.

That is awesome! What a trophy!
My original ProVari, (in it's 5+ years with me) endured ridiculous abuses. :)

...at least a dozen good drops... one onto a tile floor-breaking a tile. :)
2 bumpy trips down the staircase.
Once it even got the dog test ... and survived.

I ended up PIFing it to someone here about 2 years ago... back when I wasn't Shark Vape. ;)

My pico has seen the worst.

Have three PICOs (one still alive), all confirmed authentic... they lasted about 2 months on average. Their fatal flaw, as with most mods, is condensation seepage into the electronics. Invariably, all bottom airflow attys accumulate condensation that finds their way into battery compartment, toggle switches and USB port. Worse, fungus quickly grows in the summer months and really does a number on the electronics.

Got an Aegis primarily to avoid condensation damage to the electronics ... will see in a few months ... so far so good.

Never heard of that. Sounds strange to me. You had so much seepage in two months that it killed your picos?

Yes. Some of my favorite 22mm flavor attys (Goblin Mini v3, Serpent Mini) accumulate a lot of condensation in bottom airflow intakes. Often. the residual 'clouds' alone settle on the mods.

If plus/minus buttons seem like they are depressed repetitively after you release them, then condensation is already interfering. If fire button isn't as responsive, it is most likely condensation. If the battery is not totally dry every time you change them, it is condensation. If you see the eight hole star pattern at the bottom of the PICO mod on your table, it is condensation accumulating in battery compartment.

Interesting. I have had none of those symptoms. Im curious, do you blow out the air intake until vapor is dense? I've seen that technique on videos. I've tried it but didn't see a need to practice it regularly. Im just being curious, sorry.

I mainly use that baby beast. But for a very long time I ran the mello3 mini and a griffin 22. I haven't used a goblin but it looks similar to the griffin.

With all the new stuff coming out the price for picos is down considerably. I really should get one or two more.

I sometimes blow in to the chimney to clear the air intakes while wrapped in tissue. Among my 22mm in rotation, the Whitebone Oumier has the least condensation accumulation.

And yes, always good to have a backup mod ... at least one.
